  1. @JamesNYC I have to agree with @duchaine and @Melvin-Moderatorbecause not even the Turkish forum has patients posting results from this Doctors and the only real 12 month patient result I could find on this Doctor was at the Italian forum and it’s really bad! Granted that even the best Doc in world can have a bad result but this Doctor only has 1 bad result and 4 others patients posting that had surgery less than 3 months ago (too soon to tell) at a forum that is known for censoring patients posting bad results. Unlike Keser, Pekiner and HLC that have dozens if not hundreds of patients posting their great results on online forums. Keep posting every month and in 12 months let’s compare your results with the current best in Turkey: Keser, Pekiner and HLC. Also, you gave almost zero information regarding your hair transplant like the technique used for extraction and implantation, the punch size, manual or motorized, maximum grafts per day, use of technicians or Doctor doing the whole surgery, surgery timetable, price per graft, etc. I sincerely hope your results can match the great experience you had during surgery and hope you can provide more information on said experience.
  2. @zak786 Keser, Pekiner have their own private clinic in Ankara. You can check my results thread of my HT with Dr. Pekiner to see the YouTube link with the walkthrough I did of the clinic on my 3rd day of surgery. Pekiner started working with Keser and then worked for 7 years with HLC. At HLC the most experienced doctor is Dr. Akin and ofcourse the founder Dr. Ozgur. I have been told that nowadays at ASMED the most you will get from Koray is a handshake if he’s there on the day of your surgery. @Dr. Bruno Ferreira has his own practice in Porto/Portugal. The best surgeons are the ones putting out consistently amazing results regardless of their technique. DHI with Lion Implantor Pens are the new technique but you can go to average doctor using DHI and get a bad result while a good doctor can give you a great result with any technique. I searched for Doctors that only had 1 patient per day, were doing the whole surgery, had great patient results in the forums and experience with beard grafts. Then I had to narrow down my list because I had a budget of around 2€/graft and at that price it’s almost impossible to get my requirements. The cheapest I found that met those requirements were Dr. Pekiner (doing stick&place) and Dr. Bruno (doing DHI with Lion Implantor Pens). I chose Dr. Pekiner because he was cheaper than Dr. Bruno and had more experience with beard mega sessions (that I desperately needed).
  3. @zak786 to answer your questions: 1. The best surgeons in Turkey are Dr. Keser (3.5€/graft) and then Dr. Pekiner (2.15€/graft). The best clinic is HLC Ankara (2.7€/graft) but they have 6 doctors and you don’t know which will be doing your surgery to check the results he is achieving. 2. Cinik is a all inclusive clinic where surgeries are performed by technicians. ASMED is also a clinic where your surgery will be performed by technicians and their latest results have not been good. My advise to you is to stay clear of Turkish all inclusive clinics and focus on doing a surgery where the doctor is controlling every stage. Demirsoy (1.25€/graft) is a better alternative than Cinik or Asmed because he only has 1 patient per day but he does use techs for implanting (with his supervision) which for me is a no-go. 3. There are several doctors that offer a growth guarantee. I read that Dr. Bruno Ferreira (2.5€/graft) guarantees 90% growth. He also works at Dr. Lorenzo (one of the best in the world) clinic in Madrid but there you will pay 5€/graft. 4. Best in the world for me would be Raymond Konior and Juan Couto but be prepared for a 2 year wait list and much higher prices. 5. You’re young so don’t be greedy and plan for progressive hairloss (leave donor area for a second HT). 6. There is no scientific evidence to support that PRP has any effect. 7. Dunno 8. Go the Italian, Spanish and Turkish forums to check results posted by patients. I decided to pay more to have a surgery totally performed by a Doctor doing a maximum 2000 grafts per day using either DHI or stick&place, so far so good.
  4. @Pinkyandthebrain you won’t find any other Doctor with good results that is operating just 1 patient per day and overseeing the whole surgery at 1.25€/graft.
  5. @kmgrafix the reason why the Doctors remove grafts from under the chin and jawline is because some people have sensitive skin and can get tiny white dots where the punch extracted their beard. If the beard was extracted from under the chin and jawline then nobody will be able to notice those tiny white dots but if these dots are in the face they will be noticeable. Several patients of Dr. Pekiner go back to a second surgery to have beard grafts removed from the face because they didn’t get white dots under the chin in the first surgery. You can check below a image of patient of Dr. Pekiner that went back to do a second BHT surgery and had beard removed from his face. I didn’t get white dots so I if I decide to have another hair transplant I can also take beard grafts from my face.
  6. @Jijypuru I know that Dr. Pekiner was carefully selecting the best grafts because I could feel him searching when he was extracting from my scalp and beard but I am not sure if it’s possible to select only brown beard grafts if you have more than one color hair in your beard. Dr. Bruno told my friend that he has years of experience with beard grafts and that he does BHT at Lorenzo’s clinic and his clinic. However, I believe that Dr. Pekiner has lot more experience with beard grafts than any other Doctor because he has been doing beard mega sessions on a regular basis since he was at HLC (HLC is also know for their great work with beard mega sessions).
  7. @kmgrafix look at patient pictures 1 year after they had a regular FUE surgery and you will see that it’s also difficult to see any difference in their scalp donor area because the Doctors avoid overharvesting the scalp donor area. Dr. Pekiner asked if I shaved everyday and wouldn’t mind overharvesting my beard. I said “go ahead” because I wanted more density in my crown and couldn’t care less about my beard. I had 1888 grafts removed from my beard and today I can notice some gaps when I don’t shave for 2 days but even having had beard overharvesting not everyone can notice these gaps below my chin and jawline. I do believe I still have more beard grafts for a future HT. The patients in those HLC pictures probably said they didn’t want overharvesting of the beard and therefore a smaller amount was extracted and you can’t easily tell the difference.
  8. @Pinkyandthebrain taking into account you central crown area it looks like you have around 120cm2 of recipient area which means you are going to need more than 4000 grafts to rebuild that area with more than 30cm2 overall density (4000 grafts /120cm2 = 33,3cm2 overall density). For the frontal hairline it’s advisable +50cm2 density so you might need thick beard grafts to increase the density to the crown/ midscalp and avoid overharvesting your scalp donor area. Dr. Cinik is a clinic that charges all inclusive prices (red alert) and performs surgery on several patients per day with technicians doing most of the work. If you chose the most expensive option which is the newest technique - DHI - then you will have a surgery totally performed by technicians. If you can’t afford Dr. Demirsoy that costs 1.25€/graft then contact Esma&Serkan Tetik. They are a team of nurses that only do surgery on 1 patient per day using DHI and charge 1350€ for up to 4000 grafts including beard grafts if needed (they are nurses not Doctors). There are dozens of Turkish patients posting their good results with Esma&Serkan Tetik on the Turkish forum sacekimisonuclari.com If you are considering going to Cinik to have a unknown tech team (not Doctors or Nurses) do your DHI surgery then you might as well go with a with a team of nurses that charge less than Cinik and have dozen of patients posting the good results they achieved with them.
  9. @Jay13 you made a great decision and will be in great hands with @Dr. Bruno Ferreira Please post your HT experience and results in this forum so we can follow up on your progress.
  10. @karatekid the only two reasons that will prevent someone from having beard grafts implanted on the scalp is if the beard has a different color than the hair or if the beard has a tendency to curl. Otherwise the studies show that beard grafts can be the perfect alternative for patients with limited scalp donor supply. Because beard hair is thicker it’s recommend for patients that wish to add density to the crown or to hide FUT scars. It’s not recommend to implant beard hairs in the hairline because this area is usually comprised of thin single grafts and not thick beard grafts. Check these two FUE+BHT results from HLC (where Pekiner worked for 7 years): https://www.fue-hlc.com/hair-transplant-before-after/fue-3000-grafts-2000-grafts-for-the-front-1000-grafts-for-the-crown-area/ https://www.fue-hlc.com/hair-transplant-before-after/3500-grafts-2000-grafts-from-donor-scalp-1500-grafts-from-beard/
  11. @Jijypuru I needed to implant a lot of beard grafts to compensate for a lack of scalp donor area. I chose Dr. Pekiner because he has experience doing sessions with 1900 beard grafts in one day and does surgery on just 1 patient per day. Dr. Bruno has also been doing BHT for several years and only does surgery on 1 patient per day but he is not doing beard mega sessions which was why I chose Dr. Pekiner (also because Dr. Pekiner was 20% cheaper). Dr.Ximena is doing surgery on 2 patients per day so I ruled her out of my shortlist when I was doing my research but she has some pretty great results on the Spanish forum and was Dr. Lorenzo medical assistant for over a decade. I speak warmly about Dr. Bruno and Dr. Ximena because I find them very affordable for the results they achieve and know-how both of them obtained from working with Dr. Lorenzo at his Madrid clinic.
  12. Thank you @AlexEfim and yes, if I hadn’t done my 2 HT I would be a NW7.
  13. @paddyirishman I did write 1.8€/graft with 18% tax. Civas, Doganay and even Asmed are most definitely not in Dr. Arika league.
  14. @ahglet none of the doctors you mentioned are on the same level as Dr. Arika. Bhatti has several bad results in this forum. Doganey was kicked out of this forum due to bad results and being unethical to his patients (ex:re-using needles). Asmed is having some subpar results lately probably because the surgery is being performed by technicians and not by Dr. Erdogan. I won’t even waste time discussing Civas. If you want Turkish doctors that you can compare to Dr. Arika (1.8€/graft with 18% tax) then you have to look at Dr. Keser (3.5€/graft) and Dr. Pekiner (2.15€/graft) they both do the whole surgery and have 1 patient per day. If want a cheaper option you have Dr. Demirsoy at 1.25€/graft he also has just 1 patient per day but he uses techs for implanting the grafts. If you can afford it book Keser, Pekiner or Arika.
  15. I think Dr. Ferreira even deleted the patient results he posted here. Maybe it’s because he is a staff member at Dr. Lorenzo clinic in Madrid. So yes it’s difficult to see several results and it’s probably because most of them belong to Lorenzo’s clinic.
  16. Thanks @duchaine I was under the impression HLC was a luxury clinic and was told that Ozgur was not doing surgeries but glad to hear that is not true because he is a great surgeon.
  17. @Jay13 I would chose Dr. Bruno because HLC has 6 doctors so there is no way to compare with Dr. Bruno because you don’t know the doctor doing your surgery and therefore you can’t compare results between the 2 doctors. The most experienced doctor at HLC Dr. Akin is really good so If I knew it was him doing the surgery it would be a really tuff choice. HLC has a dedicated clinic and Dr. Bruno has a luxury operating room at a plastic surgery clinic (in terms of dedicated facilities HLC is obviously better). Dr. Bruno is doing DHI and HLC is doing manual FUE with stick&place. Ankara is really unappealing and nobody speaks English. Porto is a trendy European city where everyone speaks English and use Uber to get around.
  18. @guestY I had 1888 beard grafts extracted and implanted into my scalp. You can check my results thread below.
  19. @Guano they also gave me a discount if I would post my results but you have to really push Saide and Alex by whatsapp to get your pictures or you won’t get them any time soon. They have a patient every day and even work on weekends so sending your pictures is not really a priority for them.
  20. @Guano congratulations! Nothing like having a whole clinic and it’s staff dedicated solely to your surgery! I had to really push Saide to send me my before and after pictures. She ended up sending them to me by whatsapp. Looking forward to seeing your results thread!
  21. Nope don’t think that’s not the reason. They all only have 1 patient per day but Keser and Kaan do between 600 to 1500 grafts maximum per day and Demirsoy can do more than 4000 grafts so he can charge half the price of Dr. Kaan and 1/3 of Keser and still have the same daily turnover or more at his clinic. It’s simple mathematics. In my case, I chose not to accept doing a FUE transplant without the Doctor being next to me every step of the surgery and preferred a Doctor that was doing small amounts per day with either DHI or stick&place. This choice had a premium price for Turkey but many will say it was cheap for having a whole clinic and it’s staff fully committed to my surgery during 3 days.
  22. @duchaine you are talking about Serkan Aygin and I agree with you when you wrote that he has average results (also many bad ones). These two Esme and Serkan Tetik are getting way better results than Serkan Aygin but charge a ridiculous price of 0.6€/graft per graft. Search Esma&Serkan Tetik on the Turkish forum sacekimisonuclari.com They were part of Dr. Hakan Doganay team before venturing out on their own but Dr. Hakan has several patients on the forums complaining of bad results and crazy stuff like re-using Implantor Pens, so I am not sure If I should keep talking about these two...
  23. @nightcrawler it’s true Demirsoy does have some nice results on this forum and surely you will also achieve a great result. Right now he is the world’s most affordable Doctor with patient results in this forum. This Esma & Serkan is too much of a risk because they only have Turkish patients posting on the Turkish forum. Don’t even know if these two are actually Doctors or techs but surely they speak zero English.
  24. @Jijypuru I see that @Gasthoerer already answered your question. Dr. Keser does not take patients that need more than 2000 grafts in one transplant because he does a maximum 600 grafts per day with his own customized punch. Also he does not extract grafts from the beard to increase density which was mandatory for me in order to achieve a decent density so naturally I chose Dr. Pekiner instead.
