  1. Looking incredible already and you have so much more to come! Wouldn't expect anything less from Lorenzo!!
  2. Hi, looking at your pictures, your hair loss pattern is already established. Since you are on propecia I think you would be suitable for a hair transplant. I would recommend you consult with the top docs in Europe such as Lorenzo, erdogan and Bisanga. Just be aware that you need to have a long term plan so that if future hair loss occurs, you have plenty of donor left. Good luck mate!
  3. Hi, just so I can give the best advice I'd like you to answer a few questions: How old are you? Are you on propecia or would consider taking propecia to prevent future hair loss? It sounds like you would like a fairly aggressive hairline design. This needs to be weighed up against potential future hair loss. I would steer clear from any clinic not recommended here. In addition, Dr Reddy is good but he is extremely conservative in terms of graft numbers. In addition, he is ?8 per graft. You will find Dr Bisanga is conservative too. If you want FUE with a more youthful hairline so you can style it, I would recommend Dr erdogan in Turkey. Have a look at his results.
  4. To be honest mate, 700 grafts is a minute number for the area that was worked on. For the hairline area in your situation, I would expect 2000 grafts to be required. Therefore your growth rate is probably what is expected for the number of grafts used. The clinic should have done more grafts tbh, or they should have explained you would get a sparse result given the number used. In saying that it should improve over the next 6 months. Who did your surgery?
  5. Hi, 27 is not too young for a transplant. We really need to see pictures of how advanced your hair loss is. In addition, the most important thing when undergoing a transplant is to prevent further hair loss by taking medication like propecia. All good surgeons will tell you the same. Get on propecia for at least 6 months and consult a few recommended surgeons.
  6. Hopingforhair, I've suffered from seborrheic dermatitis for a number of years. I'm from the UK and all the products below are available in the UK As others have said, you have to try a range of different shampoos and find out which ones work for you. For me personally, most tend to cause irritation and only a few help. The ones I have found are good: t\gel sensitive shampoo containing salicylic acid 3℅ to remove scale and build up. Toni & guy 2in1 anti dandruff shampoo containing pyrithione zinc. Cocois ointment containing coal tar, salicylic acid and sulphur. Apply and leave on overnight under a shower cap then wash out in the morning. This has been the best treatment for me and removes scale overnight. In addition speak to you GP about seeing a dermatologist if possible. You should also get a topical steroid for flare ups such as betnovate scalp application. Hope this helps
  7. Hi, my advice would be not to base your choice on the cost of the procedure. The most expensive is not always the best option either! Rahal's FUE is not to the same level as his FUT work IMO. In fact technicians do virtually all of the work with regard to his FUE procedures. Things you must consider: Who does the procedure? Is it the Dr or is it the technicians? You want the Dr to be doing as much as possible. Does the Dr offer FUE only? If he offers FUE and FUT, he may only do one FUE procedure a week and hence is not as experienced as Drs that do FUE exclusively. What are the Drs results like? How do they compare to other surgeons? Does the surgeon take long term planning into consideration. Hair loss is progressive and this must be borne in mind. All Drs have patients with below par results, how does your chosen deal with them? Does he ignore them or does he go out of his way to ensure he puts it right? Hope this helps
  8. Hi Folks, noticed there's a few questions about why Dr Lorenzo is no longer recommended here. Lorenzo was approved and recommended on this forum whilst he was in the UK, working out of the Farjo clinic. He was based in Manchester for 1 year only for his daughters education. On returning to Spain, he decided not to continue his membership as he has more than enough patients over there. If you do a search there is a thread explaining everything. He is however a top surgeon that is very ethical.
  9. With all due respect BUSA, it is good practice to show dry 'before pics' and dry 'after' pics. That is purely my opinion which I am entitled to express. This is a good result, but the wet hair before makes it look more dramatic than it may actually be. I know you are a fan of Dr Erdogan, but please think logically before jumping to his defence!
  10. I feel this is misleading representation by Dr Koray as the before pics are wet and after pics are dry. It's hard to tell the true extent of the hair loss before the procedure due to the wet pics but it looks like 4000 grafts may have been excessive in this case.
  11. Initial shedding with Dutasteride is very common. Usually people go through a massive shed but then a few months later the hairs come in thicker and stronger.
  12. Hi, You really need to spend at least 6 months researching a hair transplant and all of the surgeons. The reality is that all surgeons are not equal. If they say you will get whoever is in on the day that is a sign to run. Sure we've seen all the footballers go to the Glasgow clinic but the reality is you will have a much higher chance of success with a reputable clinic. And what's more, if it doesn't turn out as well as you'd hope they will stand by their work and fix it for you. Take your time, this is a decision you will have to live with forever. Do your research and you'll soon see you need to look further a field. I booked a procedure with west regent street clinic in Glasgow 7 years ago. They use a guy from the wimple clinic too, Michael may. Came on this forum and changed my mind. Thank god I did! Good luck
  13. Hi, this does happen with FUE and will grow back in the next 3 months.
  14. Thanks for the clarification. Having read your initial thread I assumed your 'very strong feelings' were negative. Btw who performed your surgery? Was it Lorenzo or tech's?
  15. Congrats on your procedure megasesh! Should be a cracking result! You mentioned you can't tolerate propecia. Just wanted to let you know I heard Hasson and Wong apparently have topical finasteride prepared for them which they sell to patients. You might want to check it out to help with the longevity of your result.
  16. First we need to establish the following: 1. How old are you? 2. What is the likely hair loss pattern you will end up based on your family history ie dad and grandad? 3. The frequent urination you experienced with propecia, how many times a day was that? Would you consider going on it again at a lower dose at 0.5mg a day. A lot of guys have reduced their dose and obtained benefits without side effects. These are important questions and will affect our answers.
  17. Hi, you have good hair characteristics that should make for a good result. BUT be careful! Even with Meds, you will likely lose hair in the future so you need to keep that in mind in any planning. Erdogan is very aggressive and will probably transplant your hairline, front third and crown with 4500 grafts!! That is NOT a good idea. Keep going with the Meds, especially Finasteride. If in the future you start noticing hair loss, it's time to consider dutasteride. Hair transplant wise, i have seen the best results in 2 steps normally. a first procedure of 1800 grafts, followed by a touch up a year later to add density. The touch up can usually be done without shaving. A skilled surgeon would be able to avoid shock loss. Putting 3k grafts into an area that size comes with extra risks. Due to the high density, there is generally a lower yield. In addition, we normally say 3000 or 3500 grafts for the front third, so putting 3000 into the hairline will leave you short elsewhere if you needed it in the future. Just remember, hair loss is unpredictable and you still have the rest of your life ahead of you. Good luck
  18. Hi, Whilst you do have extensive hair loss, I think you can obtain a nice improvement. Your expectations have to be realistic. You could probably get decent coverage in the front to frame the face and a sprinkling towards the crown. Based on your pics, I'd say you need consultations with Hasson and Wong for FUT and Jose Lorenzo for FUE. They have a TON of documented cases of high Norwood transformations. However, I feel they will both tell you to get on Finasteride. It will prevent future hair loss but also potentially thicken the donor also. FUE will also allow you to shave down if you want which can add to the illusion of a fuller head of hair. Good luck
  19. Any updates?? I've been following your case for a while now as I'm considering Lorenzo and also have SD. Your hair looks really good given the number of grafts used. Lorenzo has quite a few results online of patients that have scalp conditions. Did you inform him of the condition before your procedure? Did he advise the use of a steroid shampoo a week before the procedure?
  20. Hi, you've narrowed your choice to some excellent surgeons. Is there one particular Dr whose work you prefer? Have you seen lots of examples of their work on high Norwood patients? With you being a high Norwood, the Dr that jumps out at me is Dr Lorenzo as he has many examples of his work in high norwoods. You certainly can't go wrong with Bisanga either. Erdogan is also good. I would suggest you will need two procedures 1 year apart in order to achieve optimal results. As has already been said, do an online consult with them and take it from there. Good luck
  21. My hairline is similar to yours. I think a hair transplant is a personal choice. Although at NW 3 you have a lot of hair, a more youthful hairline will frame the face better. 3800 is a ridiculous number of grafts. Erdogan uses waaaaayyyy too many grafts and he probably plans to transplant your whole front third, which is unwise at the moment given you have plenty hair there. I think 1800 would be a good number for you. Check out Dr Maras aswel, he does good hairlines.
