  1. Hi, having looked at your photos, there isn't much difference in your before and after photos. Have you contacted Dr Hakan? what did he say?
  2. Excellent case Dr Lorenzo. did you have to carry out any different pre or post op care because of the psoriasis? The reason I ask is I have dermatitis of the scalp and I would be concerned about going for a procedure because of this. thanks
  3. Excellent work! Love the hairline design - often i feel Dr Lorenzo's hairlines are a bit too conservative for my liking, but this hairline is much more youthful
  4. The work is first rate, but do you have any large cases you can present to us? say 5k grafts over multiple sessions as we see from the Turkish docs?
  5. its personal choice at the end of the day. Google Dr erodogans FUE results and you will find a lot of results on another forum. The other thing you need to consider is if you want to go with a doc that does manual fue or motorised. good luck
  6. Wow! I love Dr Erodogans hairlines! how much donor hair does this patient have left? is he on propecia? Denny, have you had your procedure yet?
  7. whilst I'm a huge fan of Rahal, FUE is dependent on the surgeon and I dont't feel Rahals FUE results are as good as they could be in terms of yield. There have been a few unhappy FUE patient of his. His strip results are solid though.
  8. I would suggest going to Turkey instead. Dr Dogonay and Dr Erodogan produce excellent FUE results and at 2 euros a grafts its very affordable. I am from the UK too and considering them.
  9. hey everything looks good so far! you should see good growth in the next few months. Unfortunately no one can really tell at this stage if you will be a slow grower. For 3 months your pics look about right.
  10. Dr Hakan, excellent work by the way! How much donor hair does this patient have left on his scalp? i am assuming beard hair was used as he has insufficient scalp donor left??
  11. You make a good case Azazelgs. Zinedine Zidane has the same thing where he shaves it - he's slick bald on top but has a good hairline to frame his face. albeit his hair is not a transplant.
  12. Hi, I just wanted to share my story with everyone - especially all the young guys considering a hair transplant. 5 years ago at 22, my hair was receding and I was approaching a NW 3, although my crown was strong. I was DESPARATE for a transplant and I very nearly went along with a local UK Doc but backed out at the last minute after finding this forum. Im just glad i didnt go through with it then. I got on Propecia and it stopped my loss. I decided to be a bit creative with my hair styling and try a faux hawk, and used nanogen when i went out at weekends etc. It allowed me to get on with my life and I still have, more or less, the same amount of hair today at 27. In that time I also got married and I am now a Dad. I still worry about hair loss. I have noticed increased shedding in the last few months, which I expected. But I now have a more mature head on my shoulders and I still want a hair transplant at some point in the future, probably with Dr Rahal. And now I'm a better candidate for one due to my age. So for all you young guys out there, you CAN get through what is difficult time in your life. If you go through with a transplant now, you may regret it. Splitting Hairs
  13. I think we are slowly seeing how FUE is becoming an excellent option for high Norwood cases. The demand for FUE has soared and hence drs are trying to improve it all the time and it's starting to pay off. I'm looking forward to seeing Dr wesleys new method of FUE which should further improve yield and reduce fibrotic tissue, hence meaning more grafts can be taken from the donor. It will be interesting to see how FUE progresses!
  14. Hi just wanted everyones opinions on Dr wesleys scarless pilofocus procedure. he has filed a patent: Hair Restoration - Patent application it seems to explain how the procdure will work and that follicles will be extracted using a probe from under the scalp. Dr wesley will be presenting all of the details at the ISHRS conference in october. more info here: Scarless Hair Transplantation by Carlos K. Wesley, MD So basically the advantages are: no visible scarring, Yield is in line with FUT, more grafts can be extracted compared to FUE due to reduced fibrotic tissue, there is also anecdotal evidence of donor follicle regeneration. Also, spencer Kobren from the bald truth has spoken to Dr Wesley and believes this is a game changer. What are your opinions?
