  1. Looks very good! Are you taking any medication to maintain native hair?
  2. Sorry to hear such, the best course of action right now is to not worry, depression is a major cause of health issues, when body is under stress, it tends to shut off non essential things 1st (hair, nails, skin health). At this point you just have to trust and believe in process, what is done is done. You may be surprised, result will be good & not as bad as you imagined.
  3. 3 Month Update: noticing new hair starting to grow, I was a NW6 with barely any hair on top-)
  4. Awesome! Glad it is working well for you Melvin. I would certainly also give it a try, but due to me having Rosacea, i am afraid to start it 😔. For now i just use DIY biotin, saw palmetto topical spray.
  5. Donor looks great! 5k grafts sounds right on pont for such patern.
  6. It's best to grow hair longer to properly determime quality of donor. With such advanced hair loss, there really is no room for mistake. None! Each graft counts (even single hair graft), & needs at least 95% survival rate overall. Take your time to research best doctor & not rush.
  7. I wore surgical cap for 10 days post op, some people just asked, "are you working in medical field? " i just kept saying. YES -) worked for me.
  8. Very sad video. Back in 13th centrury to about 17th, it was customary for men to wear wigs, look at all composers: Mozart, Bethoven etc. As well as all kings, noble men, & even most middle class, in fact, not wearing a wig was a sign of disrespect back then. After the Victorian era, fashion went down hill.
  9. I would quit nicotine for good, you invested a lot of $ into ht, as well as time & effort. Nicotine constricts blood vessels thru smoking, vaping, patch etc . There was a research where it showed that those who are predisposed to hair loss, have accelerated loss from smoking. It will always mess with your mind if you continue to smoke with any adverse effect feom ht, like less of graft survival, thinning etc.
  10. Today marks exactly 2 month post op. I have not trimmed nor cut hair. Next update will be at 3 months-)
  11. True, for me topical minox caused a development of Rosacea, i was using it for 10 yrs, but had to discontinue as soon as i noticed it & did not take long to find out the cause. Minox dialates blood vessels.
  12. Agree! Fin/dut are also not guranteed to work for everyone. I was on fin a decade ago, worked really well for 2 yrs but eventualy stopped working.
  13. From what i understand, oral minox does not regrow hair , rather, keeps existing hair longer in non sleep phase, possibly also making it look denser. Inmo, i would not risk taking it, as it does not adress the root cause, eventualy nature will take its course sooner or later, & that hair will go to sleep-) In regards to volume, there are otc gels that can make hair look denser without sides -))
  14. From the photo it looks like there is still good amount of hair. Sorry to hear that meds don't work for you. Have you tried vitamims such as D3, zinc, biotin? Todays youth have more difficult life due to social media, dating apps etc. this causes a huge amount of stress. I would strongly recomend all natural approach, & to try to stay away from instagram, tiktok, tinder etc. Those apps are 50% cause of hair loss at the minimum -).
  15. I think 2500 for front-mid scalp is proper assesment in your situation, you have a favorable low contrast scalp to hair. Assumung 95% survival rate of grafts, it will look very good.
  16. It could be that there was a line drawn with pencil/marker & when extraction punches were made it made a temporary tattoo, if so, it should fade within few months .
