  1. He took pics under harsh light, i am pretty sure if he took it from normal lighting, it would look very satisfactory.
  2. Exactly right. Don’t let anyone discourage you that results should be by 6 minths. I knew what i signed up for before ht that it was a 12 month process but somehow let a troll in my thread get to me to the point that i texted my doc asking if i look ok for 5 months, he most likely thought “ son, iz u crazy? Its only been 5 months! 😂
  3. Massive transformation, this is yet another example that patience is a must and that ht does in fact need full year in many patients to show full potential. I really think we need to retire the notion that “by 6 months you get the final result”. We all grow at different rate, i myself had early growth in first 4 months then slowed down, but i am aware this is a journey & prepared to wait full year, and so should everyone else😎. Captaincalico also had early growth til month 4 then he said it slowed a bit but then got excellent result.
  4. Very natural result Gatsby, hairline is as perfect as can be . You don’t look 56 at all, if you didn’t mention your age, i would have assumed you were in early 40s, no cap, real talk😎
  5. You may want to try a non generic brand, perhaps official brand name propecia, some people did say that it made a difference. I heard from somewhere that generic versions are only required to have 80% of active ingredient, thus, each generic adds their own 20% of inactive, which could be different from official brand.
  6. I see your point. My comment was a reply to Melvin’s take on styled vs unstyled look, so we would love to see how his hair would look if he either combed it to the side or slightly upward. Also, top surgeons do implant hair to certain angle, this is why some of them work with less grafts & results look as though much more grafts were placed. In fact there was a recent Couto case here, where only 3.5k grafts were used from front to midscalp & looks great. We would also love to see if he too would not style it how would that look? Another example is our friend here @bandit, he had 5k grafts front to midscalp, but because he has low contrast his see thru is much lower but he did mention that if he were to stand in harsh bathroom light he would see scalp.
  7. Thanks for transparency, this is 💯 % reality. Ht were never meant to fully restore density to NW 0, certain styling of hair is expected. Some of us who have high contrast between scalp & hair, might have it even more pronounced if unstyled .
  8. Flying is definitely under accounted factor in ht. i am aware that distance should not be a deciding factor, however there are valid concerns that arise. As for me, i chose to drive 13 hours from my state to get surgery instead of flying. Reason being, i get severe motion sickness, am ashamed to admit it , but i was only on plane 2 time in my life, last one in 2004 & it definitely was my last, never again-)
  9. Very true! 8 weeks is too early, my donor also took a while to recover, it’s a process, same goes for recipient area, we all tend to want results within 5-6 months & forget that it is a process takes up to 12 months, the anxiety can get very real as we compare ourselves to select few. I stopped looking at my midscalp every 12 hours-) will let the time do it’s thing.
  10. Wow, this is a big progress from month 4. You are 💯 right about angle of photos. When i took the pic in bathroom harsh light i was a bit scared of how low density progress was in midscalp, but under normal light condition it looks very satisfactory, i no longer wear hats as of month 4 (only when it’s very cold).
  11. Congrats John, this is one of the best transformations , well deserving of induction into Hall of fame Class of 2022!
  12. Looking good for 2 weeks, will be following your journey!
  13. How does that dude have so much time to create 12 + accounts? He even created 2 accounts to troll my thread. I mean if he had good ht, then why not move on & live your best life? Why troll here? I can imagine the horror if he were to have a date, would he stalk that woman from 12 different phone #s? That sh’t is scary & disturbing😳
  14. Looks good for 5 months. Im at similar timeframe & also waiting for density to kick in in the next few months.
  15. Looks very good! What a difference few months made. I am also at a point where if i look in normal lighting it looks good but in sunlight density is see thru but am only at 5 months so also hoping it will improve like yours.
  16. I have a 6 month follow up with dr, will see what he says. I looked at several cases here including captaincalisto, if you look at his 1st surgery 5 month, it looks pretty similar. He has several photos of 5 month mark.
  17. This is a top view pic i took today in normal day light condition in room, goes to show how lighting is a very big factor on how our hts look👍 Melvin also mentioned several times that if you put anyone who had ht under harsh light, you will see thru scalp more. Next update at 6 months.
  18. I think midscalp & crown takes a bit longer to get density, will see how it goes in next few months, also lighting is rather bright in that room.
  19. Thank you my friend! Your thread along with other OG’s like @zoomster , Melvin, inspired many NW6-7s to proceed with their own journeys. And it is certainly great to pay it forward by updating progress.
  20. 5 Month Update. It’s raining & very cold in my city so we back to bathroom pics for now😎 things are progressing , if you zoom in to my hairline, the right side softened up & looks natural. I hope the left side also catches up soon, cause it looks a bit linear , perhaps not all grafts sprouted yet. Mid scalp & crown filling in, hoping for density to come thru in the next few months. Considering i was bald af, i am very happy how i look now, also, i have high contrast, my hair is very dark but scalp is very white, so contrast is not on my side😂
  21. I really wish he would share his method & tools with other doctors, it will help to better the industry if more ideas are shared..it’s not like he will loose business, the dude is booked 5 yrs out 😎other doctors freely share their methods on conferences & their videos. Dr Sethi has no problem showing his DHI method & tools, same goes for other top surgens, including my surgen, dr Vories, in 1 of his videos he mentioned he has open door policy for other doctors to see how he operates.
  22. In few months it will all grow in! The reason why my 4 months appears fast grow is because i was practicly bald af😎so any small hair growth makes it look like a big progress, keeping it real. Upon close look you can clearly see my midscalp is very see thru, patience is what we gotta master for the next few months!
  23. Looks great for 4 months! Though my hair grew a bit early, i also have less density in mid scalp as of yet, i think mid scalp takes longer to fill in, also, my front left side is yet to fully grow, i also see some areas that have not yet even entered grow phase. We right on track, we got this😎
