  1. I see what you mean but it hasn’t improved in 3 months. Also, the gaps don’t have any hair.. not even vellus 😞
  2. Here’s a video I took a few days ago: https://imgur.com/a/8CO6eXE
  3. I’ve spoken with the clinic a few times (including a different clinic doctor named Dr. Vieira) and they told me to wait until the 12 month mark to make any conclusions and to start using Dut every day and to add clobetasol 2x a week indefinitely. It’s been about 3 weeks of this new protocol with no improvement. I’m just so confused because the left side is pretty good and the right side looked so good even at the 21 day mark. What could have caused the right side to deteriorate so much. I struggle to understand how it could be a scalp issue I have since the left side grew ok. @Melvin- Moderator I really respect your opinion - do you have any thoughts on this (especially as to why the right side is growing poorly compared to the left)?
  4. 8 months and 1 week. Don’t think this are getting any better. It’s gotten to the point where if I have my hair too short or too long, people can clearly tell that my right side is extremely thin… not something I thought I’d have to worry about after a 3,000 graft transplant. Crown also isn’t looking too good compared to pre-op. 😞
  5. If it’s not long and brushed to the side, the entrances are completely see-through. I have it cut a few cm shorter on top now, and it’s mostly see-through from the sides .
  6. About 7 months and 1 week at this point and starting to give up. Been in talks with the clinic and they said to wait until the 12th month mark. Until then, they said to use Clobisdin (clobetasol) once a day, and to increase my minoxidil dosage to 5mg and dut to 3x a week. I’m pretty devastated to be honest and wish I’ve never had the transplant. I got it initially to stop thinking about my hair and if anything I’m thinking more about it when I consider that I used up 3,000+ grafts to get a wispy hairline with a bunch of scarring in my donor area. Thanks for the support everyone but I think this will be my last post on this unless it improves.
  7. I guess my question now is, is there anything I can do to salvage these results? Would microneedling the recipient perhaps help?
  8. Hi Ignacio, Thanks for your message. My concern, however, is not that my transplanted hair doesn’t’ match native density. I did my research prior to the transplant and knew that achieving native density would not be possible and I am ok with that. My concern is that it seems like the majority of the follicles of the hairs transplanted on my right side did not sprout and even if they did, they were not growing and easily removed by tweezers (without pulling at all almost). Here’s another picture to see what I mean: As you can see, there are a lot of gaps, including in the hairline! My 3 week post-op pictures tell a different story: I followed all the post-operative instructions, have been taking dutasteride and oral minoxidil, eat healthy, exercise, and am only 27 with a great thick donor. Despite all this, the density is simply not there and I fail to see how things will improve because I am already past the 6 month mark and those gaps I show have zero hairs sprouting out to cover it. I would have been happy with a “poor yield” of 50% on the right side compared to my 3 week post op pictures! What’s sad is not only that the yield seems much less than 50% to me, but all the grafts I’ve potentially lost forever 😞
  9. There’s very little growth behind the hairline. I (very easily) pulled out a ton of dead grafts recently that just didn’t grow for whatever reason on the right side. Waiting on a response! 🙂

  11. Sigh this is so sad.. I’m pretty devastated to be honest 😢
