  1. That bump just caused extra blood flow to the area, so hair will grow faster -)
  2. Your donor was great , i am surprised that some doctor in NY told you its thinning, i now question if that doctor is experienced & what does he consider good hair texture?
  3. Finasteride has some effect on GABA receptors in brain. Which is related to mood. Some people are more prone to that than others, it is important for anyone experiencing any adverse effects to consult with their physician. Also, power of suggestion, that is, placebo effect, also plays a factor. There is certainly truth in old saying, 'as you think, so shall you become'. Anyway, taking any medication is a persinal decision & all pros & cons must be considered.
  4. From my research topical fin or dut is good for recepient area but since it's not possible to use it on sides and back (due to overdose & expense), that donor area will not receive the benefit as oral version. Some doctors believe donor area can thin over time from Dht too. It is more concerning for very large FUE cases , since they take it from wide areas & sometimes very close to none safe zone.
  5. Amazing! FUE has really evolved with what can be achieved (with the right doctor of course). It is very labor intensive, i can see why some doctors don't get involved & push FUT. To be honest, if FUT was the only option i would not get HT for myself.
  6. Yes i agree, the 2nd picture tells very different story. In any case , as long as it heals well & grafts survive, it can be touched up. Graft survival is the most important. Keep us updated and don't feel too stressed as stress will cause hair loss.
  7. Yes, that is a good plan. From your earlier post you mentiones eugenix quoted 4k grafts. in person hair analys will definetly help. Just make sure it is very ethical doctor with proper assessment of donor area.
  8. Absolutely! There is zero room for mistakes in HT. At first i was mad at some surgens who had few months wait just for consult, and another 8 months to book HT, but now i see why.
  9. Does she operate on only 1 patient a day if you select highest package? I wanted to book with this clinic too but got a bit worried she might operate on several a day since they got so popular in such short time span.
  10. Very nice result! And he did not even harvest from beard grafts? How does he do it, i wish he would share his knowledge with other doctors . Some top doctors do share methods with each other, Dr Vories trained with Lorenzo from what i researched, Erdogan has FUE conferences too.
  11. From what i read, in some cases FUT can have permanant numbness/nerve damage where strip was taken. One of the reasons why i opted against it, even with NW6. With FUE few months numbness should resolve.
  12. I think hair fibers are much better in your case than HT. You still have plenty of native hair. Grow it longer. Postpone getting HT as much as possible (till fibers no longer work).
  13. Results like these are unfurtently more reality than we wish to imagine. There really is no room for mistakes in HT as we can see. This forum is great help & as HTs becomimg more popular so will the honest results from patients. What hit me hard is someome made good point here a while ago, a good food for thought, he said why don't all even most reputable doctors show most of their results on their sites? for exp, most clinincs operate at minimum 1 patient a day, thats 5 a week, in 1 yr thats a min of 250 patients. But if you even look at very top clinics own sites, the most is 70 -150 pictures in their entire portfolio for 20+ yrs they are in business? Very rarely they add new ones. So the question is this really a lottery? What is the probabilty of home run?
  14. Sorry to see such happen. It seems it's a lottery with results. The other day someome else posted sub par 8 month result from reputable doc. Good doctors can have bad days & bad doctors can have good days. As we sometimes see even hair mills hit homeruns once in a while. Don't blame yourself much, you did the best with research you could.
  15. I had a consult with Bernstein back when my hairloss started in 2009, he was very ethical & said medical treatment is all i needed back then, did not push me to surgery. He has very good experince analyzing hair type, donor miniturization. If you are in NYC probably best place for in person consult is him, for true hair loss analysis. He is very conservatuve though, will not see many agressive 5k graft 1 sessions.
  16. Looks like very poor graft survival rate, were his techs doing most work?
  17. Well, as you know hair loss is progressive, if you use grafts unwisely you will not have enough when it gets worse with aging. Thus, It is best to use fibers, medical treatment, till the wheels fall off-)) and only then plan HT.
  18. Agree. I am in early 40s. And only now booked for HT, used hair fibers for years till they no longer worked.
  19. Donor area looks super strong. Would not be surprised if top doctors will quote at least 4k grafts from it & rest 1-2k from beard. I think full coverage is really possible.
  20. I think Eugenix require one to take finaseteride or they would not perform HT, seen that under their youtube comments several times when someone asked.
  21. I know the feeling. My surgery is also booked few months from now, early summer. I just try to think positive, sometimes you just have to trust the universe, if you did proper research on doctor, just let the rest work out itself. I too consulted with a doc in Ny, but decided against FUT. I strongly believe FUE came a long way even for high Norwoods & feel peaceful with my decision. But if you still worry, perhaps you have doubts on set doctor?
  22. Hello , new member here. I am planning to have a hair transplant in Summer. After I buzzed my hair shorter I noticed few small red cherry angiomas on scalp, about 4 of them. They don't itch or hurt, and not really big in size. Would that cause a problem?
