  1. Absolutely, And to clarify, he wasn't butchered either which is the most surprising part. His results are very decent.
  2. I was in a barber shop last week, the barber was from Turkey and he said he got a transplant near his hometown for 700 euro. I asked him how many grafts and he said 'they just took what they needed'. You can certainly get scary clinics!
  3. Had one myself for a year, I didn't enjoy using the glue/tape and the whole cleaning process. It is a lot of maintenance for sure.
  4. Definitely travel for the best results. We don't really have great doctors here in the UK.
  5. Been hearing more and more about Asli Tarcan, how does this place still exist? I'm surprised there hasn't been lawsuits. It's nice to see that your scalp is healing well now, but those spots which had scabbing look rough.
  6. Had a great time with these guys, Lovely bunch of people. The procedure is done in an actual hospital. I haven't seen or heard of a bad result from Elithair yet, but it's very important to note that tech's do the transplant itself, not Dr. Balwi! He just draws the hairline and gives a brief consultation. We don't know the tech's names or how long they've been doing transplants. For all we know there could be a whole new team since I was there. They seem to preform on two clients per day with two separate tech teams in separate rooms.
  7. As someone who went to a hairmill myself, I do agree with this. It's just not worth the risk (even know mine has been fine thus far). Going to a hairmill increases the risk of needing a second/third transplant. You'll end up spending more than you would've going to a clinic with a legit track record fixing the damage one. On top of that, you'll be waiting A LOT longer to get the hair you want. It's simply not worth the time and money for the risk. Sorry to hear about your situation.
  8. I'm sorry, but I haven't heard of a clinic who could not show final results.
  9. A part of me thinks my crown is thinner AFTER a hair transplant on my frontal scalp. But that could also simply be age or finasteride not being strong enough. I did have some bad shock loss during the early months. 🤔
  10. I assume they mean that the super weak hairs that are on life support (minoxidil) might be affected negatively by shock loss.
  11. Search 'micropigmentation density' on YouTube, you'll see a few solid results on lighter skin. Also the pigmentation itself can match your hair color.
  12. Yeah, still getting those strange itches myself at 7 months. -shrugs- We should hope for the best and assume it's stronger hair pushing through.
  13. In the same boat as you, at 7 months my hair seems thin, it looks similar to yours actually. Going to follow your progress. Feel free to check out mine for reference. Everyone keeps saying that the hairs will thicken so let's have faith!
  14. I respectfully disagree, I think it's more related to how he presented the pictures under poor lighting. His hairs are still very thin, they should thicken to the original density yes?
  15. Very happy for you sir, this is going to be a home run.
  16. Do clinics need to shave your scalp down again for a top up? Or can you get away without shaving anything off the top while getting new grafts put in?
  17. Do you lose any hair each day? Your current hair transplant situation is very similar to mine, I'm coming up to 7 months next week. Might be worth comparing. Also check out this post I made for better reference to our similar hair transplants;
  18. Not entirely sure to be honest, I think they just grow/fallout then grow again.
  19. I'd say without finasteride; the hair in my crown area would've receded much worse. I don't think there has been any new growth but rather it's held onto existing hairs. This seems to be the case for most people. The goal for most people here is to get on finasteride & get a hair transplant. Hope this helps.
  20. -Bump- It's been a few days later and I'm still experiencing a solid 20 hairs in the sink each night. I understand that people lose 100 hairs a day, but surely the telogen stage shouldn't occur on hairs so small; they're only an inch or two long. Does anyone have any thoughts or past experience?
  21. Yes I'm on 1mg per day, no side effects over the course of a year. My libido has been lower over the past few months but it's also been a fairly stressful time in my life so that could also be the reason why.
