I am from india . I am sharing my experiences with you all.Basically i started losing hairs at the age of 21.i visited & consulted several clinics in kolkata ( india ). I wasnt satisfied with the consulting doctors.Consultant doctors were either homeopaths or dentists. They were just like businessmen. After few mnths of searching various clinics i was totally depressed because of juggling between my work life & my baldness problem. One day one of my colleague recommended me a hair transplant doctor. He told me to visit & consult with the doctor. I consulted with doctor rohan & the doctor told me about the grade of baldness & i was diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia.Since i was having hairloss over occipital area, doctor first told me to stop the hairloss first & then i should go for hair transplant. Most of the clinics that i have visited before told me to go for hair transplant first on the day of consultation. That was the difference between an ethical doctor & businessman. My 3500 grafts transplantation was done in 2 days since i was having severe bleeding on the first day of my procedure.I am sharing my 5 months transformation post transplant.Hope you like it.
After a few years research I decided to go ahead with a transplant and here’s my diary
I’m a 28 year old Irish guy who has had thinning hair and a receding hairline since very young and just before the transplant was around NW5 (yikes!).
About 2 years ago I decided to shave my hair off and get Scalp Micropigmentation to give me a hairline and fill in top and crown. Since then i’ve been shaving my head everyday.
While SMP suited me to an excent the shaving everyday, lack of texture and shiny scalp was something I refused to live with long-term.
I decided to go with a doctor in Turkey (Dr Cinik) after spending pretty much the last 1.5-2 years researching and contacting doctors. Unfortunately cost was a factor for me so could not shell out
My expectations are a little bit lower than the avg guy as Finasteride does not agree with me (always lose erection, libido) and I did not get the crown filled in (remember im NW5).
The long term goal is I want to keep a military style haircut (shaved back and sides with short on top) so Im hoping it will look ok. Im aware of scarring etc.
Will keep this updated but interested to hear from other folks who may have had SMP and then had transplant. Happy to answer any questions also
The first photo is pre surgery & remaining photos are 48 hours post surgery (4300 grafts - megasession)
37 year old gentleman presented to us with a 5 year history of gradual hair loss .He has used Minoxidil 5% occasionally in the past.
He was keen to get his hairline restored as it was affecting his confidence.
O/e Dr Reddy diagnosed him with an early Norwood 4 pattern of hair loss and decided to stabilise his hair initially with Propecia.
He was examined 12 months later and was counselled extensively regarding FUE. He was keen to get maximum density and was happy with a mature hairline to frame his face.
2711 grafts were transferred using a manual FUE with a 0.9 mm punch.
Attached are the pics before, during and after 9 months.
This restoration was accomplished with 2 FUT procedures separated by 1 year. HT#1 2908 grafts. HT#2 2003 grafts. Patient was challenging in terms of the size of the area vs. donor supply - he is extremely happy with the change - Dr. Dorin's design met his expectations. He is currently undergoing a 3rd smaller FUE to tweak the crown region.
