  1. At such a young age it could also be a dietary thing, or even how rough you might be with styling hair. Both of these can be fixed without medication of course. Just make lifestyle changes. Also you're too young for finasteride and all that, perhaps take some biotin supplements.
  2. Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well. I was just wondering what the risks are of having a second transplant on the same recipient area as the first. Can this cause damage to the originally transplanted follicles? What other risks are involved? Thanks.
  3. Follicles should be fully set by now, you should be ok. But if you're unsure then go gentle.
  4. Personally not a fan but a lot of people seem to like this "barber cut" look. To be honest I haven't seen a good beard transplant yet.. it always looks unnatural. The only time I think people can get away with it if they're filling in an existing beard, otherwise transplanting a beard onto a completely bald jaw looks strange.
  5. As you say sir, "little improvement" but "without significant further loss", these medication hold on to hair much more than they recover. It's hard to imagine what your hair situation would be if you weren't on medication, but it's safe to assume that the meds did their job! You're a solid candidate for a transplant, wish you all the best.
  6. Wow, you genuinely have a decent result. Looks quite natural in my opinion, a few doubles here and there doesn't hurt. No one will notice I promise that.
  7. They push themselves out over time, some people are able to pluck them out sooner too. Nothing to worry about, also the red swelling doesn't look too bad, people have had worse. Have you contacted your hair transplant doctor? What did they say about this?
  8. Is Turkey known for botched dental? My local barber is Turkish and he went over to get a new pair of choppers and they look great.
  9. Not exactly mate, it's just the extraction method. Some people prefer DHI because it's cleaner and leaves the donor in better condition if you're looking another transplant. People can still get multiple FUE transplants of course, some worry about overharvesting of the back causing it to look patchy though.
  10. Hi, this isn't transplanted hair roots, it's the tips of my hair.
  11. Thanks, could you provide an example? I might stick with Gatsby's advice
  12. Thanks man, I prefer having my hair up though. ^-^
  13. Thank you everyone, it's super thin in the sun though. Should I have expected better density from a HT?
  14. Hi everyone, It's been 10 months since I got a hair transplant on my hairline. I'm quite happy but nothing was done on the sides of my head, I was wondering if should get a second transplant? Bit insecure about them at the moment. They feel pretty far back than most. Hate having a big forehead too. Thanks. Example of first transplant location;
  15. Thank you friend, it's important to know that I felt like I needed SMP to help improve the density after the transplant, so that was another 1400 Euro with another clinic. Will be reviewing them also after my third session.
  16. Thank you! I hate this photo, but I think it's important to show how a hair transplant can affect mental health, weight & confidence. This is a photo before my transplant. I was depressed about hair loss, it caused a lot of mental issues, wasn't eating well as a side effect of it. I was around 54kg at the time (5ft 9 for reference). To compare now, I'm a much more confident person. Sitting at 72kg, I go to the gym now, have made friends that I wouldn't have otherwise due to self esteem issues. Much happier person overall and any mental health issues due to hair loss has passed. I really hope you all find happiness in your hair restoration journeys. It's a shame that men are expected 'not to talk' about these issues. To 'just shave it off' and 'suck it up'. Do what makes you happy.
  17. Month ten update! Not a whole lot has changed since my last post. My hair is continuing to grow longer and longer. Due to have another SMP treatment on the 23rd of this month. You'll notice that the SMP has settled and faded down a lot to the appropriate shade. There are also a couple of spots, I think this might just be a couple of insect bites though. As usual lighting is a big factor in terms of result, I'll post as many examples as possible. Any questions please ask. 10 months post operation: (Original camera) (Alternative lighting) (Back) (Alternative lighting examples) (Photo from my desk while making this post lol)
  18. Hello my friend. Hoping to post a SMP related topic in the future once my final session is finished. Very happy with the results so far, it's 100% an improvement! If I where to compare with satisfaction; 7/10 for the HT results, +2 for the additional SMP; bumping to 9/10 in total. Attached a few different lighting conditions. Hope they help!
  19. Looking at this man I think you're overthinking the situation. It looks great, hair transplants have the tendency to curl a little, it saves me money on hair products lol.
  20. You have a pretty good result in the donor area. I would never ever notice you had a transplant if I was sitting behind you on a bus.
  21. This is debatable. In theory you could've seen SMP on while males but you didn't notice due to how natural the results turned out. It's easier to spot unnatural results.
