  1. You're meant to stay on finasteride for most of your life if you have hair loss, not just a year. What dose are you on? It's common for people who have lower libido to take finasteride every other day rather than every day. Finasteride prevents your hair from receding any further.
  2. Hi, Definitely optimistic for you. How many grafts are you getting? Make sure to start medication after your surgery. Finasteride every day or every other day, don't listen to some of the fear mongering you'd find online regarding it. Between the surgery and starting medicine, you'll have a great result. Shockloss is only temporary, and it's likely those thinner hairs would've fell out to grow back thicker anyway once you went on medication. Regardless, rooting for you.
  3. Same situation happened with me also at elithair. It was just an analysis based on photos, booked for a procedure then on the day the doctor checked my donor area quality before doing the surgery the same day. (Which was so so, a bit below average)
  4. Elithair in Istanbul, something like 2400 Euro I think. Been on finasteride for a year prior to the surgery & ongoing. Full journey here;
  5. Honestly, looking at your photos I think your hairline can be saved with a solid 3500 or so grafts. I'm sure others would have more insight. People in worse situations have had good results.
  6. Maybe get a second opinion regarding a transplant also. How long have you been on finasteride for?
  7. To be fair I'm 26yo and I got a hair transplant to bring back my temples. Didn't have any permanent shockless either. It's in no way perfect but it's much better than the hairline I had before. My hair is naturally thin too whereas @Savemyhairline looks to have thicker hair. Just food for thought. (Before hair transplant) (After hair transplant) (Donor after transplant)
  8. You can pretty much style it what ever way you please, assuming you achieve the right density. Another thing to be cautious about is that some clinics transplant the follicles in a different direction than the rest. For instance; my hair transplant grafts point at an upwards angle, causing it to be a bit more difficult to have a fringe. But also it takes little to no product to style it upwards due to this.
  9. With respect, I believe this is the cause of your final outcome. DHT can still affect transplanted follicles. Not being on finasteride for over 10 years will have consequences. Hairloss isn't always due to DHT either, some people have had transplants due to head trauma or stress induced hairloss. I assume this is why we sometimes hear success stories of HT patients that have kept hair without DHT blocking medications.
  10. Made a similar post about a month back. The majority of people said to hold off on a second transplant and save those grafts for any future hairloss. Your result is incredible by the way, great density all around!
  11. I've seen people hit their heads and dislodge grafts. You'll only know if you see a stream of blood running down your head. The common rule is; no blood = no issue.
  12. Amazing! It's important to note that SMP can look a little goofy for the first few days after getting the procedure. The dots are bigger and darker. But after a week or two it looks amazing. Multiple sessions are needed to add a 'textured' look. After the first session it might look a little flat.
  13. Sorry to hear about your situation.. However, one thing that is an important factor is how far back your hairline was naturally as a child? As I kid I had a far back hairline prior to any balding. This could make your hairloss look worse in your 20's. Just from your photos and post alone it looks like you're not responding to hairloss medication. It's pretty tragic at 21. Hope you find a solution or comfort in being bald. Accepting balding is the best thing for a man to do. Alternatives for you could be shaven with SMP work. Or even try out a hair system if you don't mind spending around £1000 per year.
  14. Amazing! By month six you'll notice how much shape it's taken compared to previous months. You'll still experience thickness & growth from six months onwards also as your hair finds itself.
  15. Thank you! Personally no I don't have wind issues after my FUE. However sunlight can really affect the appearance of density. SMP does a decent job camouflaging this but it doesn't work as well under very bright white indoor lights. Regardless, any SMP is an improvement to a hair transplant in my opinion. Even if it's small.
  16. Hi, I did SMP for hair density after a FUE transplant. Here is the result (left = before, right = after); SMP doesn't do a whole lot but it's definitely an improvement. It helps hide your scalp if your hair is thin and gives a boost.
  17. I don't know man... I've also tried several pieces from several places, all with different prices. They just never seem to get the hairline right.
  18. I personally got PRP after the first month and my redness was away by the second. But to be fair it could also be related to age. I'm 26.
  19. Isn't PRP meant to help speed up the recovery process of a red scalp?
  20. Hi, is there long term side effects from loss of libido? I go to the gym twice a week, don't eat meat & I'm 26.
  21. Thank you! Not entirely sure. I assume so. Doesn't bother me though and they're not actually noticeable in person, the camera exposure really highlights them.
