  1. Another factor that should be put into consideration is age. The younger you are, the more top-ups you will have in your lifetime. Increasing your risk of the smudging. But as you say, as long as you stick with an experienced artist this shouldn't be an issue.
  2. Hi again, posted an update; Compare to 8 months for reference.
  3. Month nine update! I've had two SMP sessions since my last update, the sessions were done on my crown/mid-scalp & hairline (entire top). I'm due another one or two sessions. Reflecting on older pictures, I think the additional SMP treatment has definitely helped with density. I'll make a thread reviewing the SMP treatment also once all the sessions are completed & healed. (Ignore the colour highlights in my hair, I did them myself and are not a side effect of the transplant or SMP) 9 months post operation: NEW CAMERA; Kinder lighting (Away from window); Donor area; Webcam; TWO SMP sessions comparison before & after for reference (month eight vs month nine);
  4. I totally agree, the healed faded grey tone looks so much more natural than the specially black unhealed state.
  5. Attached an image in the meantime. Left is before SMP and right is after SMP (two sessions). It's still healing so the spots are darker & thicker than the final result. But hope this helps;
  6. Will be sharing in a couple more days. Just waiting for it to heal.
  7. Thank you my friend. It is always a risk having tech's do the surgery, that's for sure. We don't know how experienced they are and how long they've worked at the clinic. As far as Elithair goes, I think I've gotten a pretty good result so far. SMP has saved me from needing a second transplant too I think, looking forward to posting some results. Do you have any examples of bad results from Elithair? I'm curious to look at them.
  8. If available to you, you should consider SMP on the donor area also. It does look overharvested, especially since you only got your temples done. SMP should do the trick, rooting for you. ^-^ (For reference, same area; with and without SMP - note it's still healing so the dots are thicker and darker than the final result)
  9. Hello again everyone, The month nine update will be delayed a couple of days. I got SMP work done and I'm waiting for the healed result before taking any photos to keep everything natural & realistic. See you soon!
  10. Rooting for you, looks fine thus far. Had 3400 grafts done in Turkey personally, happy with the results.
  11. I think the biggest issue with SMP artists is that most artists post images of the results RIGHT AFTER the last session; causing the pigment to look very dark, larger and still red. It's known to be dishonest. In my opinion SMP looks the most realistic after a few months time. Here is an example of dishonest results; And here is an example of honest results;
  12. Your SMP will also help mask that you got a transplant during the ugly duckling phase.
  13. Got my first SMP session not too long ago; here is the before and after for reference; If done right I think SMP can look fine in the hairline. You need at least three sessions for a realistic result. After the first session SMP will look flat. If you've already had this much, I'd say keep your SMP before the transplant. It will give a nice textured look under your scalp. Remember that the sun is an enemy to any hair transplant.
  14. It's a common experience for anyone after a hair transplant. A lot of people say that post operation is more stressful than the operation itself. All you need is patience my friend and remember that by month 6 you'll be so happy with the result.
  15. I personally did PRP from month 1 to 3, didn't have any quicker growth comparable to others. Although my redness did fade by 1.5 months. Unsure if this was related to the PRP or age (25 at the time).
  16. Absolutely, but if done right I think you can get away with feathering SMP into the hairline also. Here are a couple of examples;
  17. You'll need to take fin after a transplant regardless.
  18. Going the SMP route first to see if that improves things. If not then definitely a second touch up.
  19. You have a great result man! Yeah lighting is a enemy of ours, it is what it is I suppose.. Lighting samples;
  20. It won't affect the results what so ever. But you may not be able to travel if you're testing positive.
  21. Getting SMP done in my transplanted area soon, only got the one session done thus far. I'll update you in a month with the results.
