  1. Quite surprised that your transplanted hairs thinned, especially while on finasteride. I wonder what went wrong?
  2. I've heard some people keep results by taking finasteride twice a week rather than every day while keeping libido up, I wonder if there is any truth to it.
  3. Hi, yes I also had shock loss on the donor. Here is the recovery over two months.
  4. Yup! all normal. Your transplant looks like mine, good luck.
  5. Completely normal. You're experiencing shedding. It happens around this time. Expect more hair to fall out and dandruff as your scalp heals.
  6. I was fairly bad with shockloss, more so on my crown. Where I had hair it just disappeared after a transplant. It all grew back in time. Access the situation at the 3 month mark.
  7. I've seen some people use lasers to permanently remove facial hair, I wonder if it is applicable for a hairline also?
  8. If you're insecure about your crown you can always do some SMP on it for density. You should do this before your hair transplant as you'll be unable to preform smp for the first 6 months after a ht.
  9. Don't worry, it's definitely shock loss. Plus 1500 grafts is no were near enough for over harvesting. It WILL go back to normal in time.
  10. Your donor looks very thick, I'm not a doctor but I'd say you're good to go. A hair transplant on the full frontal part of your head then finasteride to works its magic in the crown. You should send a few emails to clinics to see what they say. Just remember that you have to stick to a hair loss medication after your transplant.
  11. I think you can get away with it, there are plenty of singles also.
  12. The longer the graft has been extracted, sitting in a dish & not implanted; the less likely it will survive. Most doctors try to do no more than 3000 but you'll see many places offering 4000 in one session. This isn't to say one mega session doesn't work, it's just more risky. I personally got 3900 grafts in one session, one side is slightly thinner than the other.
  13. 1. Ten days post operation, 2. Two weeks onwards I believe, 3. Three - five months (depending on age it seems), 4. Unsure, 5. After around four weeks, 6. Two months onwards, 7. Six months onwards, 8. One year later. Of course everyone is different, but these are around the average ball park. A lot of users say that the full result is final by 18 months however this is the maturity of the hair rather than density. You should follow the guidelines your doctor will provide you for aftercare, each doctor gives different guidelines also. Here is my doctor's for example;
  14. Hi, that's correct. I hope to share the realities of a HT under the worst lighting conditions. Perhaps for contrast we should also show the best lighting conditions. The sample you provided is under good lighting conditions. It's easy to match this illusion of density if you give yourself a kind enough environment, here's an example of my transplant in similar lighting;
  15. Thanks! I'll need to count the grafts per square centimetre for sure, went to a hair mill you see so they didn't provide this information. It can look a whole lot worse under other conditions, I think the photo above was too kind.
  16. Hi everyone, Hoping to start a thread in which users will share their hair transplant exposed to the worst possible lighting circumstances such as beaming sunlight. 🌤️ This should give others realistic expectations as to what you should expect from a hair transplant procedure. Please share your own images if possible.
  17. If you're happy with the front, then get some SMP on the crown for density & not worry about a limited donor.
  18. Need more photos than this and a graft count
  19. Around 20-60 hairs each shower personally. It's meant to be normal as long as you're not seeing density get thinner & thinner.
  20. Hope you're doing well, Everything is posted here (before operation, post operation, months of development.etc);
  21. Hi, does this also include transplanted hairs? Can clinics add density without a full head shave down?
