  1. Egy when I look at your first photos in this thread and compare them to the last photos you have posted, you have a great looking head of hair by comparison. Remember you are on a forum full of 'hair conscious' people like yourself and myself. No one in the world walking down the street would pick that you have had a hair transplant!!!! And that is the gold standard of a great hair transplant. Not how much hair you have, how dense it is, etc. But having the appearance that your hair hasn't been touched! PLUS you are also judging your hair now way too early to give it any real true assessment. As Melvin stated their is no perfect hair transplant (and if their was and if we had it we would still find fault). Give your hair some time. Give your transplanted beard hair time to take on more characteristics from recipient dominance. It's incredibly hard to get some perspective when things are happening to you. Give your hair and your thoughts time. Take care!
  2. Natural. Otherwise I'd love to know the name of his surgeon!!!! 🤓
  3. MNJ I can tell you from experience that over time you will find that when it comes to scars and raised edges that things do settle. I don't believe that this is hypertrophic scaring. Take care and get a second/third opinion from hair transplant surgeons. All the best.
  4. That is a fantastic 'one and done' result! You won't be needing another procedure if you stay on finasteride and you're not even at the 12 month mark yet! Congratulations! I look forward to further updates. Thanks for sharing!
  5. You look very young. Do you have a photo of your hairline prior to the hair transplant? I would look at Eugenix to correct the hairline myself. However their are many talented hair transplant surgeons who could do this. Whoever you choose, look at a hair transplant surgeon who has a strong body of work in correcting bad hair transplants in the hairline. You have a great head of hair and you will get through this. It's just sad to see another case of a hair transplant surgeon that should be called out and avoided. All the best. The best is yet to come!
  6. If more celebrities in the media light came out and shared that they had a hair transplant then it would make having a hair transplant much more acceptable (which today it is compared to years ago). I remember when I was in my late teens/early twenties and it was Jack Nicholson that I held up as my icon as he had the receding/thinning hair. In his films back then he was the leading man, a good 20 plus years older than his leading lady and balding. He just exuded confidence that gave me hope with my own situation. Same with Bruce Willis before he shaved his head. Today shaving your head is as cool as a transplant as you get older. The thing about shaving your head around middle age too is that once you get past a certain age, the older you keep getting the younger you look (as long as you're not over weight and your halfway good looking). No amount of grey, thinnish hair can make a guy at this stage better looking (in my humble opinion). It was funny when I ditched the wig and had SMP three years ago to hide all the scars as best I could. Nearly everyone said I looked ten years younger!
  7. Goldwing your hair looks fantastic! Great coverage and you are still only at the 7 month mark! I look forward to future updates. You must be very happy. All the best!
  8. This was state of the art in the 80's. Sadly I went down that path and it only left me with scars after surgically removing plugs from the front hairline. Their were no singular follicular units back then to fill in the gaps between the grafts.
  9. Yep. In my day when I was 18 the options for covering baldness were prehistoric compared to today. The scalp reduction was another one that was pretty full on (though in theory had merit). Many of these poor patients today are just left with sever scaring and disfigurement.
  10. Goodvibes who did the hair transplant? At only 3.5 months you have a lot of time and a lot of healing ahead of you. I have a lot of scars along my hairline, temples and in the donor area and they do improve over time. The hair that has been implanted will also help negate any concerns you have as it continues to grow in the future. I'm positive that the longer you wait the better the result will turn out and you won't be worrying about it! All the best!
  11. Well Biden's HT is pretty obvious and doesn't seem to worry him. Trump looks in his younger days he has had a Juri Flap procedure. Look at the direction of his hair and how it has to be turned around with spray and whatever else he puts in it. It's pretty common knowledge that he takes finasteride. Great topic guys!
  12. Never decide on a hair transplant if it is based on a strict budget. History has shown that you will spend many times the cost of your original budget to repair the initial procedure (not to mention the psychological loss). You need to have a plan from the very beginning based on your hair supply/demand ratio over the life span. You need to work backwards and not look at the costs in the rear view mirror, but through the windscreen of where you are going with this in the final result. Research, research and more research. All the best.
  13. Just following this thread now and the results of a hair transplant (one that is a state of the art result) would mirror what you have achieved by going down the medication path alone! I would stick with what you are doing religiously!!!! If that means increasing doses, switching to dutasteride under medical supervision, etc, etc, then stay the course assuming side effects are controllable. A hair transplant is a last resort. Currently you have no scars, no failed procedures, no over harvested donor areas, you are not left as a repair case, etc! Any and all of these scenarios we have all seen too often before. What you currently have, which would be a potential hair transplant candidate's 'dream come true' is a natural looking head of hair!!!!! No hair transplant would surpass what you have in density as well. All the best.
  14. That journalist summarizes that from a couple of studies that hair loss could be due to anxiety, nutrition, etc from Covid 19, etc, etc. I am not disputing that Covid 19 may cause hair loss. I just think it's too early to say. Does the hair grow back if it is caused by Covid 19? I think I would be more concerned about getting Covid 19 myself.
  15. Where is the science to back up this claim that Covid 19 results in a direct correlation to hair loss in women?
  16. You are not alone. But firstly this is why I would never go to Turkey. I too had a hair transplant at 19. In fact I had two hair transplants 6 months apart. And they were horrible. They were punch graft procedures that look like 'doll's hair' or rows of corn fields. Your hair transplant looks natural but you really should have been rejected due to your age and it just highlights the ongoing criminality in this industry of continuing to perform hair transplants on teenagers!!!!!! But firstly you need to reach out as you have done. Feel free to pm me as I was in your exact situation at your age. The only difference was that I had the whole lot surgically taken out in a strip procedure leaving me with a horrible strip scar along the top of my forehead (not to mention the scars in the back donor region). All I wanted was 'more surgery' in the hope that it would hide the front scar (and my continuing baldness). Thank God it never happened. You need to stop for a moment and take a deep breath. Exhaust your options with finasteride and minoxidil and continue this. You have a natural result in the hairline (as opposed to plugs). Also I take it that you had FUE so you won't have horrible strip scars in the donor region. You need to also get in touch with people like Eugenix who can offer you options (other than immediate hair transplant surgery) to support you through what you are going through. You don't have only two weeks to make a decision. That's how you're feeling now because you are in a state of panic which is normal but will only end up in making bad decisions that can haunt you for the rest of your life. This response to your post doesn't allow for the range of options you need to look at (outside of surgery at this stage and age). This community is here for people exactly like you in this situation so please take advantage of it.
  17. This looks like the start of a great result! Keep us updated and all the best!
  18. That's fantastic news that you have found the solution for you to your hair loss to get your life back. It looks great! Take care!
  19. I would definitely consider looking at Eugenix and the results that they have churned out. All the best!
  20. You really need to choose someone who specializes in Norwood 6/7 patients and who has a large body of work you can see. Eugenix would easily be the best in my opinion. All the best.
  21. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 👍 Well said Zoomster (and well done on your results from your last update!!!). Yes unfortunately the latest update from our Prime Minister is that there will be no overseas travel for Australian citizens until there is a vaccine!! So by the time I get to Eugenix at this stage many of you who have had a hair transplant will be looking like ZZ Top! Anyway patience has always been one of my virtues since my first hair transplant disaster so things may change earlier than later with a bit of luck. Stay well everyone!
  22. Zoomster what can I say? This has to be the best 'one and done' for a Norwood 6 that I have ever seen. On top of that, you have incredible coverage and naturalness, which is what every patient (regardless of where they are with their hair loss) can only aspire to. You look a good decade or more younger and you still have months ahead of you to top it all off. Very happy for you and thanks for keeping all of us updated!
  23. Fantastic result in the vertex and crown! Well done with only using just over two and half thousand grafts to achieved a really full, natural result!
