Looks pretty dense and actually looks a bit longer than in your original picture.  I saw one guy on Youtube that never shed, hopefully you will be that lucky person who doesn't have to go through ugly duckling.

That's crazy. Is that actually a thing to not shed lol? I mean as long as i get the same awesome results if I don't end up going through the ugly duckling then I'm all for it lolol

  2. I've been following your threads and I know you did not have a good experience with your first HT.  I know you were considering going to turkey but If i were to offer any advice i would stick to the just the top 2 FUE clinics on the entire world and thats with HnW or Dr. Diep.

Here's how I am hiding it right now at the office (everyone already knows...it's more so for clients and just not looking too weird).

Lol it's a good side swept hairstyle. I literally cant tell anything was done from this view xD. Do you plan to grow out your top and sides even more to conceal everything? Thats what i plan on doing at least

  4. Day 15 post op: Hello everyone, I believe at this point I have been able to basically all the scabs and crusts in the recipient area.

My question is when would I expect hairs to start shedding? I hear most people start shedding a lot by 2 weeks post op. It doesn’t seem like I have shed that many hairs yet in the area to be honest. They also don’t seem to be growing at all in length it seems like the same length from when they were implanted but I’m not sure.

Wow just saw your thread. Great write-up, don’t be concerned about the crusts that’s normal I had them. I do see the small bald patch. Doesn’t look like you had grafts taken there. Could be a minor case of alopecia areata. If It gets worse contact Dr. Diep, he can give you a steroid injection that will help.

Please consider creating a patient website, it’s a free way to blog your progress. https://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/

Oh wow could it really be alopecia areata though? How would that differ from what shock loss would look like I'm curious. Also, if one were to experience shock loss in the donor area, when is the time table that it typically occurs after an FUE procedure? For example if I am 2 weeks post op from FUE and don't have any noticeable shock loss now, does that mean I am in the clear? @Melvin-Moderator. Also from what I understand, alopecia areata is typically caused from a lot of stress. So if you are having stress just try to relax as much as possible during recovery.

  6. Day 11 post op: Picture taken in natural "harsh lighting" directly after hair wash (wet hair): Finally I’d say I’ve been able to get about 85% of the crusting and scabs out of the recipient area with gentle contact washes increasing pressure each day slightly. The large crust/scab in the middle of the hairline seems to have been the largest one which I’m not in any rush to force out and eventually it will soften up and fall out naturally form what I’ve heard.

Furthermore, I now see how beautiful the designed hairline is that Dr. Diep did for me underneath all that crusting and scabbing and wow these are exciting times. My forehead looks so much more proportioned with the lower set hairline. I believe he told me we went from 7.75 cm hairline to eyebrow down to 6.25 cm which is considered his special medium tight hairline. Some would say this is aggressive but keep in mind I am only 25 so I think it looks good on me.

As far as addressing my temples are concerned he said my temples are almost perpendicular and didn't need to be touched so what he did was called Temple angle closure in the hairline which i think looks fantastic.

  7. @jj51702 nah i was too busy just chilling and resting the first couple of days post op. And i didn't have someone to take a photo of the back of my head for me. This process in itself was a complete solo adventure for me. I told absolutely noone and kept this under the radar completely. Nobody knows including from my girlfriend and my family as well. It was a tricky process but I pulled it off completely.

  8. @Melvin-Moderator Looking forward to this journey and i would be honored to be in the before and after video once it comes to it lolol. It's actually kind of crazy to me how i knew upon doing research and am literally now experiencing how well the donor heals post op regardless of using a 1mm punch. like literally your skin contracts so well and you can't even tell anything was done after like 5-7 days... I guess it's just that initial 1-3 day post op of the donor that looks scary but thats expected lol it all goes away afterwards.

  9. Hello all I am currently 10 days post op FUE with Dr. Diep 2049 grafts. I was looking for any tips on products that would help promote better healing or overall scalp health of the donor area after FUE surgery. I have heard things like aloe vera or vitamin e oil people use after they shower to help with drying/flaking/ithcing. Honestly im not really experiencing any of these as my  donor is feeling really good post op FUE 10 days but i still want to be proactive and use anything that would help promote a healthier donor area post FUE. If you have any suggestions or specific products you would link me or recommend please comment and let me know!

  10. @Jiveturkey82 yeah typically ill text him if i have a serious question i want answered. My donor isnt really too bad at 5 days post op from what i would have thought but maybe its because i am just aware of how Dieps donors will look for like the first month following the procedure. I know it will turn out just fine giving it a month to heal as clearly shown. You should create a thread man and we can follow each others journey!

  11. Day 4 Post Op: I’ve just washed my recipient area for the first time indirectly flowing water and shampoo on it without touch. Clearly the big blood crusts still seem to be there. Do you think I should be making more of a point to trying to get Rid of those? Or just take my time and continue and not directly touch recipient hairs until day 8 as instructed? @FUEblonde1985. Also thanks so much for all your insight on your post op experience as well !
