  1. I would be very unhappy with that result, personally. especially when looking at your pre op photos if they harvested 3000 grafts then it probably warrants a refund, I’ve seen folks with 1500 grafts who are on a different level than this someone mentioned the redness in your pre-op... could have affected it but the clinic shouldn’t have proceeded if indeed this was a determining factor. I had mild folliculitis and was put on antibiotics to clear it up prior to my surgery. if a guy from a forum can point out your skin condition then surely the doctors and nurses who examined you should have raised this issue yet another worrying result from ASMED
  2. as Dazed said it depends whether you get FUE or FUT. with FUE (which is what I did) I found that the best strategy was to buzz my hair super short (like... 1 guard) for the first few months while the grafts settled in. I am at 82 days post-op so I plan on buzzing again at the 90 day mark, once more at 120 days (4 months out) and then let it grow. honestly? I would buzz it a few months before your procedure so people get used to your buzzed "look". if you go to a great clinic you'll look normal 1 week post-op.
  3. Guys the best deal I got on my hotel was through HOTEL TONIGHT. It only exists as an app. It started as a way for hotels to get rid of rooms last minute but now you can book in advance for insanely discounted rates. check it out.
  4. Hey all what should I expect in the growth department 81 days post op? FUE I can’t tell if there’s any graft growth or it’s simply native hair coming back (i buzzed my hair twice to keep it all uniform)
  5. Because removing follicles from the neck area is by all accounts a scarless procedure due to the skin’s elasticity in that section of your face
  6. As a fellow Nadimi patient I had the exact same experience: it’s the equivalent of getting a bespoke tailored suit. Cant say enough good things about her and the team, they’re at the top of their game.
  7. I think you need to gently wash it every day with lukewarm water. The goal is to keep it clean and soften the scabs so that they fall off.
  8. I actually found that I regained 100% of feeling in my donor area but not in my recipient area (2 months out of surgery) I thought it would be the other way around
  9. I'm 71 days out of FUE and it's hard to tell what the heck is going on lol I buzz my head and I'm kinda getting used to the look... sometimes I definitely see new hair sprouting but who knows if it's native hair or transplanted hair?? my whole strategy is basically to buzz everything on the first day of each month until I am a full 4 months out... by that point (hopefully) the transplanted hair will have set in and I will be able to grow everything together
  10. Sorry but I expect my surgeon to be there during most of my surgery. That’s how it was for me and that’s how it is for the best clinics. What HT was saying is that Erdogan was BARELY there. That’s totally different than nipping out for a break
  11. I would ONLY go to ASMED for a big number of grafts. I wouldn't go to them expecting refined hairline work. I just don't think the results I've seen are very natural. But personally I wouldn’t go to them at all!! Everyone's different. My approach is a much more conservative one. I chose to work with my fading, receding hairline and fill it out. I wanted people to see "old me", rather than "alternative hair me". I've had that hairline 16 years- it would look bizarre if I suddenly had a LEGO man look. But some guys are actually much happier reinventing their hair completely, and that's a choice as well.
  12. Honestly that’s what I was thinking too. would you just casually drop it before the 2nd negroni? “I don’t usually wear my hair this short. But you see, I just had a head transplant”. Cue spit take
  13. hey guys. I'm 2 months FUE post-op and in full ugly duckling mode. I buzzed it the other day and will probably buzz it through post-op month 4. I'm also 35 and single and trying to figure out what the best strategy with my dates is. keep in mind that in all of my online dating profiles I have hair. do I: 1) say nothing about the buzzcut and surprise them in 3-4 months with hair. 2) make a point of it and say I buzzed my head just to try it out but I can't wait for it to grow out because, surprise surprise, I have hair 3) be super upfront before going out with them and say I have had a transplant and that I don't usually look like this. very curious
  14. Instead of getting into the semantics of what a botched job is, I think it’s more helpful to ask : is the patient happy? is there a visible improvement? From the problematic Erdogan example posted here and in other threads I would say absolutely not. And for good reason: Erdogan is often touted as an amazing surgeon and on the list of recommended surgeons. I don’t think that expecting a natural hairline is “unrealistic”. That is what is surprising to me about some of the comments on here defending ASMED . If a Norwood VI with poor donor hair complained because he didn’t get Brad Pitt hair from Erdogan I would get it. But the complaints are about the unrefined nature of ASMED’s work and since ASMED themselves advertise natural results, there’s a huge disconnect between promise vs result. The poor results are pluggy as hell, use way more grafts than is necessary, sound like they are performed by technicians for the most part, and have an awkward hair direction than would look more appropriate on Tolka trolls. I’m not saying every one of his results sucks. But I think it is legitimate to question the clinics work without bashing it when so many real life patience come on here and share their disappointing experiences
  15. Wear a hat outside when it’s sunny as the UV rays could potentially damage the grafts
  16. Isn’t the “illusion of density” argument valid for pretty much any man, regardless of whether he has had a hair transplant ? Dudes that look like they have a great head of hair will come out of the pool and you see bald patches, recessions, thinness etc that you didn’t see before I actually think that trying to overcompensate looks fake. Like when people cake themselves in concealer or (more extremely) when a 70 year old wears a super thick hair system.
  17. yep. I had the exact same experience during the "hairline drawing" part of my surgery. I sheepishly brought up lowering it and I am so glad my doctor was no bullshit about it and said it would look stupid. also: implanting the hair at the correct angle means that the hairline will look lower anyway. the issue is with the plug/doll look, where the hairs stick up and you see exactly where the hairline starts and ends. at the end of the day doctors are people, and some people have better taste and judgement than others. not to sound like a snob, but it's true. ever see some guy or gal who have ZERO color coordination? they probably think they look amazing.
  18. I agree that it's really difficult but it's not impossible. this website has many, many examples of badly balding dudes who, in the hands of a Konior or a H&W achieved incredibly hairlines. if you shine a flashlight at most men's hairlines, regardless of whether they've had a HT done, you'll see scalp. in my opinion the biggest problem is hairline placement. questionable doctors want to wow their patients with teenager style hairlines- low and straight- but they don't actually account for how many more grafts that lower, straight hairline will need. So they sprinkle a ton of grafts around and end up with poor coverage. A much smarter approach would be to embrace the patient's age, give him a conservative hairline, and focus on giving him a great, natural result. I'll take a natural densely packed receding hairline ANY DAY over one of these mega-FUE monstrosities. but that's just me
  19. don't go back. if you're sticking to Europe, have you looked into Jean Devroye? his results look very good.
