  1. Hi ABH, Thank for posting, and I have heard good things about Dr. Diep. Do you have any progress photos, etc.? Happy Patient's Blog
  2. If your pimples are not subsiding I strongly recommend you contact your doctor. Good luck. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  3. Great post! I have been victimized myself by 2 clinics in the past. I empathize with anyone who has experienced it, for it can really be life changing in a detrimental way. Happy Patient's Blog
  4. Cheven, Congrats on the procedure. Any updated pictures? How is everything going? Happy Patient's Blog
  5. Dr. Umar performed a mega session consisting of 6500 body, beard, and little head donor (due to over harvesting from past procedures at other clinics), and gave me my life back. In my opinion he is a miracle worker, and the only doctor who can do what he did for me. Hope this helps. Happy Patient's Blog
  6. Looks really great man! Congratulations on the result! If you decide to look for a little more density, you may want to look into BHT with a reputable body hair doctor. Happy Patient's Blog
  7. Sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. But quite frankly, judging by some of the photos you posted, your hair looks really good. However, I know everyone's opinion and expectations regarding their procedure vary. I hope everything works out for you. Happy Patient's Blog
  8. Hi Mickhah, Considering that you're in Ireland, and if you are willing to travel internationally, I would recommend looking into Dr. Sanusi Umar in Redondo Beach. I am victim of the hair transplant industry, and created a blog to help people avoid the mistakes I made early on. I was sold into having a small strip surgery at the age of 19, which should have never been done. Dr. Umar literally saved me. Good luck with your decision. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  9. Great question! I am in Los Angeles. As far as LA goes, it is saturated with hair transplant clinics. Quite frankly it can be overwhelming dealing with them. Unfortunately, I was victim to 2 of them, which I can not disclose for legal purposes, at a young age (minor strip, 3 FUE's of which the last 2 were attempted repairs) I was left with disfigurement and a taxed head donor area. Toppik became my "wife" essentially. In January of 2016 I had my only successful and life changing and saving procedure with Dr. Sanusi Umar in Redondo Beach. It consisted of 6500 FUE body, beard, and the little head donor I had left that could be utilized. My only regret is that I did not know about Dr. Umar before my first hair transplant. My life, and my hair would look a lot different today if I had. I created my own blog to help people avoid the same mistakes I made early on. Good luck with your choice. Happy Patient's Blog
  10. Hi Sean, First and foremost, thank you very much for sharing your experience. Your story is a compelling one, and I can relate to your situation to a certain extent. I had 4 botched procedures, starting at a young age before having my only successful one with Dr. Umar in January of 2016. Luckily, I found him, and spent an extended period of time researching both him and his work. I decided to have my procedure with him because I had very little head donor left, and I needed to find a surgeon who can utilize my beard and body hair to its fullest capacity. Needless to say, I am ecstatic today with my result, and have my second procedure to complete my "journey" this October. However, regarding your experiences with Dr. Umar, and the Ugraft, could you please be so kind as to clarify what it is that you meant by "discussed and expected showcase?" I am not sure I understand what you were alluding to when you made this statement. From my personal experience with Dr. Umar, the day i consulted with him we discussed 6500 hybrid FUE grafts. He was very transparent and told me that I could "expect" this result which I have today. He is the only doctor that stood by his work and was able to deliver on what he told me i would get. Secondly, for the sake of transparency, could you please provide some photographs of your Ugraft procedure, what were the goals you discussed with Dr. Umar, and how your expectations were determined? Lastly, could you please be so kind and tell us why it is that you had a procedure with Dr. Umar after Dr. Rahal? I ready your entire Rahal thread discussing your experience with him and the clinic. However, I did not see any discussion, photographs, etc. discussing how your situation was resolved. Long story short, it would be great to know what your issues were with Rahal that led you to having a procedure with Dr. Umar? This is where I can relate to you, for one of my botched procedures was a strip at a young age, and the last 3 were FUE's by a "reputable" clinic, of which the last 2 were attempted repairs by them. My blog is attached illustrating my entire hair loss journey. I would love to help you out, or have a discussion regarding your situation if you have any questions. Thanks again for sharing, and good luck with everything moving forward. Happy Patient's Blog
  11. Hi Mike, Sorry about your situation. Hope everything gets better for you moving forward. However, thank you very much for sharing your experience, and bringing to light this clinic one needs to avoid. Good luck going forward. Happy Patient's Blog
  12. Your result looks awesome! I personally experienced more growth and significant maturation after the 12-14 month mark. However, I am not sure if that is because I had a hybrid session of beard, body, and little head hair. Therefore, the beard and body hair may grow and mature differently than head donor. Keep an eye on it going forward, and good luck with everything. Happy Patient's Blog
  13. Really nice result man! Congratulations, and good luck going forward! Thanks for sharing. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  14. I am of the opinion that FUE has become more popular because it is becoming perfected, and more studied. The first time I heard of it was 2007, which was 10 years ago. In these last 10 years we have seen more successful FUE results coming out, as well as more doctors researching, evolving, and perfecting the technique, thus better results. However, like anything, if one is considering FUE, it is pertinent to research and do your due diligence before jumping into a surgery. Happy Patient's Blog
  15. Congratulations on your great procedure, but most importantly, best of luck, and best wishes health wise moving forward. You look great btw. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  16. In my objective opinion your hair looks fantastic. I understand your concern regarding your recession, but the density you have throughout is great. My personal advice to you would be to jump on some rogaine foam, try finasteride. If you have some side effects from it then get off it immediately, for that is what I did. In conjunction to being on these treatments you will be saving money, as well as seeing whether or not your hair loss will continue to evolve to a higher norwood. If everything stabilizes for 3-4 years, and you do not incur any further loss, then you may consider going to a reputable surgeon to have your hairline worked on. But by all means do enough due diligence before jumping into a procedure. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  17. This was a great thread Frank. Your hair looks great btw. Good luck going forward. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  18. 7shel, Your story is inspirational, and I can personally relate to it. Well done! You have come a long way, and you look fantastic. I am having my 6th procedure in October of this year with Dr. Sanusi Umar in Redondo Beach (2nd with him), and I feel like I am almost at the end of my journey as well. Good luck going forward bud. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  19. Almosthappy, You made a great choice my friend. I am also scheduled to have a second procedure with Dr. Umar in October. He was the only surgeon that gave me a successful result. I had 4 butchered procedures before my procedure with him. All i can tell you is that you are in the best hands possible, and your scar will be completely revised. You can read my story below and message me privately if you have any questions. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  20. Congratulations on the great result! Keep us posted, and best of luck with everything progressing. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  21. I have tried low level laser hair therapy on and off for over 2 years. I also bought the hairmax laser comb. Quite frankly it is a waste of money, and I strongly recommend you do not purchase it. Happy Patient's Blog
  22. I wish you the best of luck with your surgery. Keep us posted as your results progress. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  23. Hi Mayira, Unfortunately I can't comment on the post op protocol due to the fact that every doctor has a different methodology. However, i can answer your first question from past experience. I had 4 failed/botched procedures with 2 other clinics before my procedure with Doctor Umar last January. The last 2 procedures prior to Dr. Umar were repairs to try and rectify the disfigurement and scarring I incurred from their work. Long story short, a year before my procedure with Dr. Umar, I had a private, in person consultation with him. He never rushed me, and took over an hour to analyze my head, beard, and body hair, in conjunction to my scalp state. He derived a plan for 6500 FUE grafts (hybrid of little head hair due to depletion, and mostly beard and body hair) which I am ecstatic with today. My message to you is simple: If a doctor just looks at you and tells you that you need a certain amount of grafts just for the sake of monetization and upselling, run for the door. You will have an intrinsic feeling of this when you are in a consultation. Conversely, if you are in a consultation with a surgeon who is well reviewed, and held in high esteem, that will translate to your interaction with him/her. They will answer your questions, and you will not feel rushed. That is at least what I felt with Dr. Umar. Sorry i couldn't help more. Good luck bud. http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  24. Proceed with strong caution. This industry is saturated with unethical doctors here in the United States, which has more regulations and medical standards than many countries. Going to countries such as Turkey, Iran, etc may be a huge risk due to them being unproven and possibly even unregulated. I would rather save my money for a long term successful procedure than be left with an obviously unnatural and unsuccessful result. Happy Patient's Blog
