  1. I second what gambler said. I had a mega session with Dr. Umar in January of 2016, which consisted of 6500 beard, body, and the little head hair I had left from prior procedures. I noticed that things started to really escalate for me around the 6-7 month mark. However, with beard and body hair transplantation, I noticed growth and thickening all the way up to the 18 month mark. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  2. Congrats buddy! I think your results are going to be fantastic. Please keep us posted going froward. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  3. You definitely may want to reconsider this. There isn't too much information on FUE clinics in Iran throughout the message boards. I strongly recommend doing your due diligence before making this decision. My objective advice is to also save your money, for as long as it takes in order to get a good surgery, hence a good result. Good luck! About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  4. Amazing transformation man. Congrats, and hats off to you! About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  5. Good luck bud, and thanks for sharing your story. I had a similar result with Dr. Umar last January of 2016. He gave me a result that I couldn't even imagine after having 4 botched procedures. I'm having my second one with him in 2 weeks, and unlike having anxiety over uncertainty, I am genuinely excited for my surgery for I know he will just add on to my already great result. This is what "hair restoration" should be. About my hair loss journey: http://hairtransplanttestimonial.blogspot.com/
  6. Look into Dr. Sanusi Umar. He utilized beard and chest hair to revise and fill my scar in, on top of performing a 6500FUE restoration repair procedure on me. The man is a lifesaver. Good luck! About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  7. Meno, Your 8 month photos look fantastic! Really happy for you, and congrats! Any recent updates? Your growth should be even better now that you're close to the 11 month mark. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  8. Nizoral is ridiculously strong. I experienced a lot of dry hair from my usage, and that was not the 2% one, which is even stronger. If you were to use it I recommend doing so only 2 times a week at most. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  9. Really interesting, and quite frankly, judging by its length, a controversial one. Everyone has had both good and bad FUSS and FUE procedures. Ultimately it comes down to 2 things: If one can accept having a scar at the expense of a good result, and who the surgeon is that is conducting the procedure, for some are better at producing good FUE results, while others generate strong FUSS ones. 10. I watched him in the US Open and he is definitely looking significantly better. However, I do believe he needs one or two more sessions to complete the restoration (mostly in the crown). Now Djokovic's hair is something to really awe for. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  11. Bill is spot on. You can pull off either look. However, it really comes down to what the individual feels happy with for him/herself. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  12. Hi DJ, From what i've heard, and my understanding it is for 2 reasons. The first is the blood flow in the crown area is different than that from the front. Therefore, results in the crown may take longer to fully manifest themselves. The second reason is dependent on the surgeon and his/her track record of work. My first 4 procedures were botched by two different surgeons (of which the last 2 were attempted repairs). They entailed crown work, but to no avail. Dr. Umar was the only one that gave me significant coverage and density throughout the front and back (NW 6), which is why i booked a second procedure with him in October. Do your research on the clinic and surgeon before booking, and I'm sure it'll bode well for you. Good luck. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  13. Great blog Sam! You're progressing really well. I think you will have an outstanding result. Look forward to following your journey. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  14. Good luck bud! Please keep us posted with your progress. I'm getting ready for my second round with Dr. Umar in late October as well and am more excited than ever because of my first and only successful procedure with him. I can only imagine your excitement. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  15. Skye, Really great post. Thank you so much for sharing. I've heard nothing but great reviews about Dr. Bisanga, and your results thus far can attest to that. Best of luck going forward, and keep us posted with your developments. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  16. Way too early my friend. You'll start to see initial signs of growth around the 3-4 month mark, and your full result may not come in until the 18 month mark. Good luck, and keep us posted. I've been reading good things about hair restoration in Thailand. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  17. BP2, Congrats on the second surgery! I can definitely see significant improvement, especially when it comes to density. You can also expect further growth and maturation up until the 18 month mark. Good luck bud, and keep us posted. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  18. I don't see why he would not be a good choice for you. Apart from your intuition, i strongly recommend for you to do as much due diligence as possible on the doctor, as well as the clinic. Some clinics even offer to meet past patients in person so that one can see the work up close and personal. That is about as much as you could do to alleviate your trepidation. Good luck, and keep us posted. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  19. I think a lot of it depends on what NW you are when you've had your procedure. Dr. Sanusi Umar recommended me not to take propecia after my mega session with him last January. However, the variable that came into play is that I had 4 botched procedures before my surgery with him, but he told me that there's no reason for me to continue taking it due to my procedure with him encompassing all of my balding areas. 20. Great post man, and I can definitely relate. Toppik can really supplement a good hair transplant. Kind of gives it that extra "kick" if it makes sense. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  21. Mattj is right, However, in my case, I was butchered 4 times by 2 different doctors. Dr. Umar restored my temples using chest and beard hair because I was donor depleted. I am having my second round with him in October to complete my hair loss journey. If only I had known of him in retrospect. He literally saved me by using my body hair. One can only imagine what he would have been able to do with a fully intact donor Hope this helps. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  22. ITXRD, Awesome post my friend! Very informative. Keep us posted with how things are coming along. Dr. Bhatti sounds great. Good luck! About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  23. Congratulations man! It is looking fantastic, especially for only 4 months. I think you will be ecstatic with your final result. Good luck. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  24. Hi Wobbles, Best of luck with your surgery. Turkey seems to be gaining traction as the main option for many people considering hair transplants, mostly because of the cost effectiveness associated with those clinics. Is there anyone on here that can share their experiences, both good and bad of course. It would really be helpful. About my hair loss journey: Happy Patient's Blog
  25. I personally found that the ugly duckling phase lasted about 3-5 months for me. The hair does start to grow at that time, but it is thin and wispy. Ironically, I will be using your approach for my second procedure with Dr. Umar in October. I will keep my hair buzzed for the first 6-7 months before letting everything grow.
