Almost had a heart attack in the shower
milo12 replied to milo12's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
It was. I am currently on meds for it. My blood pressure rose very high during this incident as well. I usually take my blood pressure and it was not a good reading. But I really do not understand how something like that can happen since I try very hard to take care of my hair. Needless to say i also had a dental x-ray done about 3 - 4 weeks ago. I wonder if the hair shedding has something to do with it. -
Almost had a heart attack in the shower

Trolling for immaturity at your age. Good luck with that. -
I try my very best to shampoo my hair each and every day. If I do not then I wash the next day. Mind you, I never see any hair strands in the drain, ever. But today after I shampooed my hair in the morning I look down at the drain and to my great astonishment I saw a clump of my own hair. I pick it up and count the strands. To my amazement I count 14 hair strands! Again I never shed any strands in the shower. I thought I was going to get a heart attack as I began to tremor all over my body and throat. I then got angry with more tremors. This is ridiculous. On another thread I created someone mentioned that man on average sheds 100 hairs a day. But this is inexcusable as I do my best to take care of my scalp. I very rarely shed hair. This is inexcusable in my opinion given my personal hair care. Could you guys relate? I swear to goddamned god I am going literally crazy over this. What are your thoughts on this?

Hello hsrp10, I am honestly very confused as to which doctor to see about a potential hair transplant. To me 50 grafts/cm2 is not enough. That would create a see-through look. I would like 70 grafts/cm2 though. Maybe you can help me decide if you do not mind. Looking forward to hearing from you about this!

Hello hsrp10, Appreciate the comment. But I would like to think that there may be a metaphysical way of controlling or regrowing hair. I checked your profile but I only saw one photo of yours that happened to be post-op. Could you post your before and after photos? I am interested in Doctor Konior whom I have researched with great interest. I would appreciate that please. Thank you.

A couple of months ago I was reading up on the power of the subconscious mind and its potential to change one's circumstances and physical limitations. Much of this comes from teachings of LOA or the Law of Attraction philosophy. Examples of this involve people who have cured themselves of cancer and other diseases through faith or strong altered consciousness. Another case involved a girl who bled through the palm of her hands in the form of a cross. This case I am sure has nothing to do with religion but rather her powerful subconscious belief that made her bleed that way. In like manner I want to know if this same spiritual science can be applied to regrowing hair. I am seriously thinking of using subconscious power exercises to possibly regrow my hair. Has anyone tinkered around with this stuff before? Could this really work?

How do I get these meds for regrowing hair?
milo12 replied to milo12's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Yes I understand. But the Yale studies confirm that the drugs have shown to regrow hair. And yes I know they are not FDA stamped. Importantly, I want to piont out that there are drugs that are prescribed by doctors for off-the-shelf use. That is why I wanted to know if such drugs could also be used as off-the-shelf for regrowing hair. -

Where did I compare finasteride to Jakafi? I am just asking for your additional opinion. You copy and pasted side effects info which I have read before creating this thread. But you do not go into further detail about my inquiry. -
How do I get these meds for regrowing hair?
milo12 replied to milo12's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
But the side effects are no different from potentially those of other meds that drug companies warn about. It is standard warning across all meds. I completely understand what you are trying to relay to me. But what of those patients who partook in the long term study? They regrew hair and they must have experienced some side effects. But not to the extent that you are describing. What are your thoughts on that? -
Been looking online for some help in the way of regrowing hair. Interestingly I came upon a study launched by Yale that found that an arthritis drug called Xeljanz can regrow hair. Another drug called Jakafi aimed for cancer patients was also able to regrow hair. Desperately I want to get my hands on these meds. Would it be possible for a doctor to prescribe these for baldness even through theyre not targeted for baldness? Perhaps they might prescribe it as an off the shelf prescription? If all else fails do you think I may get these drugs online without a prescription? Say from a pharmacy in Canada?

Grafts/Hair per cm2 needed for good density
milo12 replied to rfeng2003's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Hello gillenator, I need to ask you two important questions: Do you think it is possible to achieve 70 - 80% of original density? Are there actual cases of patients with such density? I was told by a surgeon that he can give me 30% more hair. Do you think it is possible to get a bit more? If so how much do you think without invoking shock? Now may make sense. But I still notice women's hair transplants having denser hair than men's. -
Hair Thinning, Not Sure Where to Start?
milo12 replied to HouTx88's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Actually under certain conditions it can. I read it. -
Well in any case you have an excellent result.

Hello Bill, I am as confused as you are. I really do not know what he is talking about either. But I already reported him. But Bill, It was good receiving your commentary on this thread. Actually I do not know if hair in the drain could be considered a good indicator of hair loss. I know one loses about 100 hairs a day. But we never see it. Would you think it is likely that hair drain is a good indicator - or the only indicator - nonetheless?

Dr. Hasson FUT - 3,898 grafts on 16/05/16
milo12 replied to Tj287's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hello JustJax, You and JT are looking good so far. JustJax could you provide a link to your hair progress? Tried looking but cannot find it. 70/80 grafts is a lot. But I mentioned this before in another thread that the norm is 40 grafts per cm. How many patients can actually grow on 70/80? That is something worth researching. I'm somewhat concerned about Turk doctors despite their seemingly good work. Their work looks good but I wonder if they overdo it to the point where it becomes risky to the patient's hair growth. -
