  1. Oh I did not mean that. I am just into my research and offering my two cents into the hat so to speak. But I still wish you a lot of luck in whatever you choose. Let me know how it turns out. I am interested to know. Good luck to you sir.
  2. Well I am not. I do not know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
  3. Hello gillenator, Do you feel that once someone stops taking finasteride then starts applying it again say 8 months later that it would be more difficult to regrow the same hair?
  4. Very good result. If you do not mind could you provide photos of the patient before he shaved his hair in surgery? In your prior post you mention Artas. Is this a new type of surgery? I am very interested. Thank you.
  5. Hello herehair, My such good result. I am sure you are very proud of yourself. Keep up the good work. In another 6 months you will amaze us with further density. I want to wish you a lot of luck.
  6. Well thank you Doctor Bhatti for you concern. It is good to see a concerned doctor on this forum give an in depth explanation. Very rare to see that on this forum. Good enough. Thank you doctor.
  7. Well I must say that is very commendable of you. Why thank you also for your kind opinions. I want to wish you a lot of luck.
  8. Excuse me but I have not the faintest idea what you are saying. I am not following.
  9. Well I hope he is happy. I truly wish him the very best in whatever decision he makes henceforth. Interesting that you say that. Sometimes it is a silver bullet if you will. When you are endowed with the genetics, choose the right doctor, have him place grafts in the right angle and manner, and right number of grafts it can work out just right. At times you may never know. As I have said before I wish medicine were an exact science. Well those are my two cents for what it is worth. I will continue my research though I feel like a scientist myself digging up info. Appreciate your honest opinion. And good luck.
  10. Why thank you for providing that info. Finally I got the opportunity to see the OP's pics from his first procedure. No offense intended but the procedure could have turned out better. Nonetheless I wish the OP would choose another doctor this time. It would be much worth it to get a second procedure to do repair/ add far more density from a different doctor. One's hair is far more valuable than risking getting a second procedure done from the same doctor that did not do such a good job the first time. All in all I want to wish the OP a lot of luck and happy future hair growth.
  11. Yes exactly. I had read bad press coming from Turkey and Canada about botched hair transplant procedures. Oh goodness. But I feel more secure in the doctors in the USA or Europe. Too many bad experiences from those places. However I still wish the patient well. Hope it turns out to be a winner in a year. Time will tell. I want to wish you a lot of luck.
  12. Yeah well I highly doubt he will ever achieve the same hair density as he did 25 years ago no matter what doctor he consults with. If we all could I would stop complaining in life, I tell you.
  13. That is strange. I did not see any hair work in his photo. Are you sure about this?
  14. Well I have seen caffeine in volumizers. It is probably an important ingredient to achieve hair volume.
  15. That is a very good question. Since I want to know as well I hope someone can answer.
  16. Hello Houtx88. In reading your post I also ran basically the same regimen (shampoos, vitamins, drinking mineral water, etc) as yourself in a desperate attempt to regrow hair as soon as I started to notice thinning. Based on my experience though such regimen rarely does anything but alleviate some psychological effects of hair thinning. Hair will thin no matter how much biotin you take for example. Honestly I am not trying to kill your spirit at all but I want to spare you the frustration of wasting your time and money on such things when your time and money can be better spent on a qualified doctor's opinion. Throughout my research in hair transplantation I have come across men who, just like you and me, began to first seek out the snake oil man for help - vitamins, oils, you name it - but the results were always the same no matter what sadly. The moral to your story however is that you should seek out a doctor like a dermatologist or hair transplant surgeon to give you his honest opinion and from there he may prescribe the necessary steps. Until then all the oils and magic pills in the world will not help. All in all you are lucky that you are in the initial stages of thinning. Men who have been thinning for years do not even bother to seek out professional help rather they leave it up to nature to decide for them. In time they could have done something about their thinning but it turns out to be a little too late. Had they caught it in time they would have kept as much of it as possible. As noted you are very lucky that you caught this early. Now go out there and find a good qualified doctor. Let me know how it turns out. If you need any assistance you can always pm me. Oh yes one last piece of advice. Be very careful with medications like topical solutions. They may possess nasty side effects that if you are not careful may produce permanent damage. My friend from work experienced such a situation. Just be careful. I wish you a lot of luck.
  17. Sorry to hear about your bad first surgery with your doctor Rahal. But if you strongly feel that the first surgery with him did not go so well let me suggest that you seek another doctor. Perhaps a good doctor this time that specializes in repairing bad transplants. In my past research I have observed very good results from doctors who repaired bad first transplants. Well at any rate at least you have a reservoir of potent doctors that can help you. Based on your photos I think you will have an excellent result. I have actually seen less favorable transplants than yours and the results after the second procedure were stupendous. You will do fine. Keep your head up, be positive and seek a good doctor this time. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. In a years time you will end up with a ton of fur on your head. I want to wish you a lot of luck.
  18. Let us leave the negative talk alone. The result looks fine to me so far as I can observe. Give it more time for more growth.
  19. That is rather interesting. Just out of curiosity is the 1% hydrocortisone cream used to combat dryness of scalp after post surgery?
  20. Well that is awfully strange. You would expect after 18 months to see more density. Did you contact your doctor about this? What did he say if you did? If I were in your shoes I would talk to him about it first. No sense in worrying about it if you do not talk to him about it and see what he says. Could you tell us how many grafts per centimeter you got? Perhaps he packed in more than he could chew. Well this also proves that no matter how good a surgeon is hair density is never guaranteed. This is the mystery of hair restoration. It is never an exact science. I do hope you resolve this situation. I want to wish you a lot of luck.
  21. Honestly I never thought you could not get enough of biotin. Upon reading on the subject it is fairly hard to absorb at times (depending on the source) and you need to make sure your supplement is of very good quality. No cutting corners here. Good luck.
  22. Very mature of you. Good luck with your poor result.
