Hey y'all! Here's a video that Dr. Mohebi made recently that I truly think is fantastic. One of the most common questions we see on this forum over and over again is "How do I know which surgeon to choose?" when doing their research, because let's face it - the process of choosing a surgeon can often be overwhelming and confusing, especially if you're brand new to the world of hair restoration. In this video, Dr. Mohebi gives some great advice and insight in to what he believes are some great guiding principles to consider when making that big decision. I hope this provides some guidance for t

I have an upcoming consultation with Dr. Parsa Mohebi. I've been looking on his website but there are no pictures in the gallery section that showcase the back of the head post surgery. This seemed kind of suspicious to me - other surgeons like Dr. Diep showcase their results from all sides, so I'm wondering if there's anyone here who has any links showing these results or if they have results themselves they can share. Thank you!

Disclaimer: I literally had my hair transplant days ago on April 9th 2019, so I don't have any Before/After photos to show just yet clearly. Down the road I am happy to post them to this thread. However, I do think that my experiences thus far are worth posting for people in my situation who are still researching and considering options. My story: I'm a 46 year old male with a balding crown. I refuse to be dragged into the land of the bald, and it's been something that I have been wanting to address for years. I decided to eschew the minoxidil/propecia route and I opted to go for som

Hello, I’m posting a review of my experience with my fue hair transplant with Dr Mohebi in LA, California. Im a 41 year old male and I had a receiding hair line that was getting worse and I couldn’t take it anymore. After doing months of research I landed on Dr Mohebi. I live in Canada, so my consult was over FaceTime. He answered all of my questions ana took the time to explain the surgery. He suggested that I could get as many as 2100 graphs to strengthen and even maybe restore my hairline. I went ahead and got the surgery. His staff were so friendly and professional. Dr

This is a fascinating study conducted by Dr. Mohebi that indicates a connection between hair transplants and the curing of psoriasis. The conclusion states that while "more studies are needed to clarify the exact processes involved in wound healing and the propagation of psoriasis, this paradigm may represent an alternative to traditional treatments or even possible eradication of skin lesions associated with psoriasis in hair bearing regions." Please read the full study here and let us know your thoughts on the subject.

In this video, I explain in detail the thought process that goes into designing the hairline and the various factors I take into consideration when determining the best approach to each individual's hair restoration. How low/high should the hairline be? How aggressive or conservative should I be? We have 8 different patients in this video and each of them with a different set of circumstances that lead to highly individualized approaches to their respective hair transplants. This female patient previously had an FUE procedure to address her receding hairline caused by MPB. The first procedure focused primarily on the hairline, which is now very solid and intact, and this followup procedure is focused on the top, corners, and the area behind the hairline. Due to temporary nerve pain in the donor area after the patient's first FUE procedure, she opted for FUT/Strip for the second procedure. This video showcases a 26 year old patient with significant hair loss in the hairline and corners. We focused on densely packing the hairline, keeping in mind that he will most likely need crown work done in the future. He received 1862 grafts via FUE, and this video shows the procedure from start to finish. We will keep this thread updated with his photos as his results start to come in. This patient came in wanting to address his hair loss in the scalp in addition to his fairly visible strip scar from previous FUT procedures he had elsewhere. We placed 1,000 grafts in the crown area and roughly 500 into the scar, which was about 5-6mm in width and stretched from ear to ear. We were able to put approximately 40% density inside the scar, which will greatly diminish its visibility. For more videos and live updates, follow us on Snapchat @drparsamohebi.

This video showcases a small FUE case of 1,000 grafts where the patient did not want to completely shave his donor area. This story shows you how we achieve this by doing layer shaving of the donor area so that the work is undetectable in the back. If you're able/willing to let your hair grow long enough, we can shave the strip of the scalp that we will be using for extraction, and the hair above the strip will then be long enough to cover up the entire donor area. This patient is an NW4 with very thick hair and a slightly better than average donor density. We performed this 3500 FUE Gigasession over the course of two days, extracting and placing 2000 grafts on Day 1 and the remaining 1500 on Day 2. This video also shows the importance of a surgeon's ability to utilize various instruments and methods of extraction based on each individual patient and their body's needs. Robotic, motorized, manual, different punches, sharp vs. duel, etc. There is no "one size fits all" approach to hair transplants, and we modify our technique depending on what works

Two weeks after an FUE procedure, this patient came back so we could address the temples and temporal points. The temporal points are very important to the youth of your face and if they are receded you may look older even if you have a solid frontal hair line. Restoration of the temporal points is challenging because of the steep angle and special curvatures and alignments of the hair shafts. However, if temporal point restoration is done right, it is a great procedure to bring back the youth of your face. For more videos and live updates, follow us on Snapchat @drparsamohebi.
