  4. Nice of you for having started this thread Shera. Please keep this going it will help tons of patients going to India for hair transplant procedures either under capable hands of Dr. Bhatti or any other HT surgeons. Great Job and thanks again.
  5. Yes,it is a difficult decision to make. You should probably share your previous experience as well, may be forum members could help you in some way. You could also consider the same on different forums as well. As with regards to my own personal experience I did evaluate all recommended providers here on the forum fron India/USA/Europe other places like Turkey. And some day I shall post my experiences dealing with some of these clinics here if forum rules permit the same. Only one of the recommended provider in here agreed to take up my case and rest of them either declined or had results NOT impressive enough for me personally!. Again not that my results are done and dusted at this time, things may change in due course, but I have been very happy with my HT specialist who took up a challenging case of NW6/7 grade baldness and gave me such a nice result. So my only suggestion is that you do your own research....check out various resources and in the end you are the one who will bear the consequences of either good or bad results of the HT.
  6. I think the first step would be to complete your consultation with Dr. Bhatti, since Dr. Bhatti is recommended hereand might takeup ur case since he is your first choice. It will be very difficult for me with my busy clinical practice to be available on skype/viber/facetime. If ur living anywhere near California/New Mexicoarea ur welcome to visit me and see me personally. You could also see my thread or the profile picture album for updates as well. I also suggest posting some pictures of your donor areas and your current hair situation.
  7. @SKYLAR - I do not know how much experience you have with HT!, have u had a bad experience with your HT in India?. India offers some of the Best options for HT and at 1/8 th to 1/10 th the cost of the same as in UK and USA. Infact the forum Moderator David had it done with Dr. Bhatti, Chandigarh. There are at least 5-6 extremely well qualified HT surgeons recommended by this forum itself. There are plenty of other extremely well qualified doctors who are offering top notch quality at very affordable prices. This unqualified allegation is very unreasonable. Please check out my thread below in my signature. I had my HT at Eugenix hair transplant clinic India. wonderful experience with top notch doctors who graduated out of the top medical school in India and have thousands of HT surgeries under their belts already. (Dr. Arika Bansal and Dr. Pradeep Sethi). In my opinion if you want the top notch quality without bankrupting yourself off of hard earned money - India is probably the top option for you. Good luck.
  8. chrisdav congratulations!, Spex - so nice of you to help him out, truly a great success story. Congratulations guys!. Nice job Dr. Feller and his team.
  9. Here you go Kjay my thread. I am extremely pleased withDr. Arika Bansal and Dr. Pradeep Sethi. Two links below are from me and another patient. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/181502-nw-6-7-hair-transplant-new-delhi-ncr-region.html One more here from another patient: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/179071-hair-transplant-doctor-delhi-ncr-reviews.html Hope these links help you make a sound decision. Malaysia is a short flight away from New Delhi.
  10. Sultsay - hairs were taken mainly from below the chin area. But the fourth day of HT was few weeks later and after seeing that scars healed nicely without a trace of residue they used some from cheeks as well. I have posted beard area pics in the albums you can check them out via my profile and albums of 5th month update.
  11. it is almost certain that to achieve a good cosmetic result with coverage which does not look awkward you would need to use your beard hairs...I would consider sending your pictures to some good HT specialists who also do BHT. As such if you only want to have reasonable coverage of your frontal half then scalp donor hairs would probably be sufficient. But the problem of course are those lateral humps which may drop further as you age. I would imagine you would probably end of where I was before transplant by the time ur 40. But as u could see from my case cosmetically good restoration is feasible even with limited donor hairs.....provided they are truly DHT resistant. Good luck brother...always do some extensive research before u jump in.
  12. excellent result, congratulations to both the doctors Bloxam n Feller and the patient, well done.
  13. Brutus - First of all thanks for posting some decent quality pictures. You are 34 years of age, do you think your shedding has stopped? or still continuing till date?. Looks like on some pics there is some miniaturization of the existing hairline which may indicate further progression of your hairloss (means more receding). As such the donor density looks good inmy opinion. Given you choose your HT specialist with care you could end up with decent head of hair which could look asthetically pleasing!. You could consider looking at fellow NW6 members threads like HTsoon and myself included to get and idea. My thread is my signature. more pictures could be found in my profile albums. hope this helps.
  14. TRIED TO respond butwent in for moderation.Probably because i mentioned particular type of named punches.
  15. People who used to see me everyday are of course suspicious whatever happened, but if people ask directly I just tell them the truth that I had a HT. The talk stops there. They seem to be surprised that it looks natural and not a shred of evidence that this is a HT apart from the fact that I was completely bald before now with head full of hair. Cole Punches, Sava implanters, Ellis graft extraction forceps (manual), Carl-Zeiss loops and Motorized punches with manual extraction.CIT PCID system is being used by many successful doctors per a post on this forum. Link to thread: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169281-ultimate-manual-versus-motorized-fue-thread.html List is given below: CIT PCID system with sharp tip punch Doctors using motorized punches: -Hakan Doganay(Undetermined) -Ron Shapiro(SAFE system, also use ARTAS) -Alexander(Undetermined motorized device) -Cooley(undetermined motorized device and also ARTAS) -Wesley(SAFE system)(circa 2,000 grafts a day maximum) -Feller(Feller motorized punch)(circa 800 grafts per session, no split days) -Umar(Undetermined) -Paul Shapiro(SAFE system, also uses ARTAS) -Harris(SAFE system, also uses ARTAS) -Mwamba(LEAD System, uses manual also) -Diep(Undetermined, uses manual also) -Devroye(Custom device with CIT punch, uses manual for beardwork and repair of old plugs/FUE) -True(CIT motorized device with sharp tip) -Lindsey(Feller motorized punch) -Charles(Undetermined, also uses ARTAS) -Bernstein(SAFE system also uses ARTAS) -Dorin(CIT motorized device with sharp tip) -Rahal(SAFE system, also uses ARTAS)(circa 3,000 grafts in one session) -Bhatti(SAFE system and Kowloon/SAFE punches) hope this helps.
  16. Very nice result given the number of grafts, lookslikehe has quite a few grafts in the bank should the hair loss progress. Very impressed.
  17. I think the work looks excellent, density to be honest looks fine immediately post op. I think you will have great results. All the best bro. Happy growing.
  18. Good response by Gillenator. For example I am Norwood 6/7 and my HT surgeon decided to extract close to 4000 grafts (including some from side burns) so that the donor cosmesis is not affected. Rest were taken from beard (around 5000 grafts). Now if every single donor site follicles have to be harvested without affecting donor area then for second round extraction I might have around ~ 500-1000 left. So it also depends on how thin or thick and how wide your safe extraction zone is.
  19. HTsoon your competitor is here sir!. romperstomper29 - this is a great result given only 2050 grafts!. nice write-up, I am also very happy the way your doctor took care of your donor hairs. Wonder why this doc is still not recommended on this forum?.
  20. LMFAO, I am lost too, pictures of what!!.... (I know what u meant, just kidding)...
  21. Honest to god, this is probably ''The Best'' result I have seen in an NW6 person. Even when wet there is no significant gap between hairs. Congratulation to you bro, great going.
  22. I never used it again, as you may see from my profile picture I was a high Norwood 6/7 who underwent successful Hybrid FUE hair transplant. (scalp and beard hair combo). I would never use it again even if I go bald.
  23. Yes, I have had similar reaction. There was severe scaling of the scalp, some weeping lesions and itching. Once I stopped using it hair loss accelerated like anything for few weeks I would have handful of hairs shed. This was of course about 10 years ago.
  24. Decent improvement given where you started. I do feel that frontal hairline does look a little bit ''stuck on'', also there are significant gaps between hair follicles in the frontal region. Hope this will improve with time. As Hairweare said before..... you would need another touch up to the crown and maybe at that time the frontal hairline could be bolstered up with more grafts. But as I said overall decent improvement.
