  1. in India castor oil is routinely used, soaking scalp for 1-4 hours before being washed off with non-detergent herbal powders. It woks well to keep hair soft. Since it is not used in western realms not much research is available.
  2. Good and fast healing jt, I hope and pray for your results, all the best my friend.
  3. Nice result given the amount of grafts used, have been very impressed with your density and results. Nice job. Congratulations to both the patient and the doctor.
  4. Wow bro, do you really need HT to the crown?. What an awesome result. Cannot praise this result enough. Very happy for you. Keep growing, and I wish you all the success for your second.
  5. I have seen one HT thread posted on the guy listed on the channel Dr. Pentyala. He seemed to have harvested hairs from unsafe zone and implants were all over the place, misdirected etc..., this is why it is important to be careful in whom you choose. These videos remind me of that doctor from Colorado.
  6. I agree, too early and too much riding on how future loss is going to be.
  7. I agree, also it is not like it grew and then fell, since this is a well documented journey by Blackpanther we can assume that the result has been sub-par. I am not blaming anyone here, but it would be interesting to see what explanation is on offer. For we know that even in the best hands results cannot be guaranteed. blackpanther - I have sent you a pm, check it out, also have you been in touch with the doctor?, if so what has been her response?.
  8. Bro, look at picture 3 of 8. Don't you think it looks stuck on?. again people who have had no experience might not be able to tell, but people who have had HT or seen some would be able to clearly tell the difference. Bottom line - I agree you need more hairline grafts and there are plenty here in US who would fix it up for you.As mentioned by HTsoon = few frontal grafts should do it for you, lucky you that you still have solid donor.
  9. From what I have seen, Direct Hair Transplant...(What Dr. Gaurang Krishna calls perfect-i), the substantial growth happens early. Nice results Vinay, more to come till about a year or so. So hang in there. Good luck with your new venture as well.
  10. Nice results for the number of grafts used, I may have missed it,but could ou please post a top down shot.
  11. Strong Integrity, ethics, morals, clear conscience = ''HATS OFF Dr. Gabel''. That's one of the toughest thing to do - but most essential quality for a doctor to possess - patient first = ALWAYS.
  12. WOW!, such a wonderful human being, wish all of us would emulate Dr. Gabel and be nice to one another. Thank you hammerhead for sharing this wonderful story. Thank you Dr. Gabel for being such a wonderful role model for doctors, it is people like you who keep this profession so noble.
  13. Dr. Suneet Soni, do you do FUE cases as well?. Any cases that could be posted here?. thx.
  14. AllaboutHair - do you have pictures of post transplant, 3 months, 9 months and now fully grown hair?. Please post them here. Might help alleviate anxiety of sambaba1983.
  15. In the clinical trials involving a total of 1333 females, spontaneous reports of hypertrichosis/facial hair were noted for 50 (4%) females in a dose-related pattern of response (5% MTS > 2% MTS > placebo). Nine females (seven and two in the 5% MTS and 2% MTS groups, respectively) discontinued treatment because of hypertrichosis/facial hair. Solicited reports of excessive hair growth (primarily facial) also showed a dose-related pattern of response. Post-marketing data showed a lower occurrence (0.5%) of hypertrichosis/facial hair than in the clinical trials. Of interest, in one clinical trial, 27% of the females enrolled (MTS and placebo treated) had facial hair growth reported at baseline.
  16. Thanks bro, I shall consider your suggestion seriously. I do think crown area will improve with up to 20% more density. Hopefully at the end of 1 year it would look much better than it is looking now. I suspect I have around 500-1000 scalp grafts left which would need to be used very cautiously if I end up needing them. Congratulations on your wonderful transformation as well!, great looking hair. Sometimes I do feel maybe using Minoxidil would make my results even better, but having had such bad side effects with it several years ago I would not want to go through the same torture again and again in my case. However Imight consider using just a plain derm roller. What are your opinions on using plain derm roller without any drugs?, just to help improve circulation to the scalp. Thanks for encouraging words bro. Appreciate it. home1212, thank you, I agree, perfection is impossible with regards to density in NW6/7 - but man, for sure as u mentioned I have come a long way from being completely bald to this - I feel satisfied in my mind and heart that - when tons of HT docs and forum members even discouraged me from even trying out a HT in any way or forum - I hopefully will come out on the other side of tunnel showing that indeed NW6/7 transformation is very much possible, given the right doctor and right patient. Thanks for your encouraging words, appreciate it.
  17. Basically this will be my last continuous update unless there is dramatic transformation in between now and 1 year mark. Due to my days being hectic and it takes lot of efforts to click pictures, download to my PC and post'em. Crown grafts are only 5 months old and I expect at least 10-25% improvement in density over next 6 months, overall I feel that crown is the weakest area and if thickness does not improve I might need another 500-1000 grafts to make it look as natural transition from occipital hairline to the crown. I suspect that between now and 1 year mark there will be some improvement in thickness and density particularly in the crown so I shall update you guys then. As far as frontal hairline goes right side is slightly weak than left. But there has been a definite catch up over past 1 month. And there has been some thickening of hairs and improvement in density over past few weeks. So far not on any medications, no Finasteride or Minoxidil. Using Ayurvedic hair oil called ''Mahabhringraj'' oil to massage the scalp lightly once or twice a week. That's all. 2nd picture with living room light switched off to show the contrast between first and second. Bouquets and brickbats are welcome.

    6 Months

This will be final update to few months to some. i think i shall post one year update once I reach one year mark. Basically frontal thickness has improved marginally. Crown has thickened, would say probably 10% improvement.
