  1. Well, in my opinion you could certainly see worse doctors. However, as hrsp noted, there are considerable inconsistencies in the patient experience results posted on this forum that don't seem to be prevalent among the top FUE practicioners. He's turned out some excellent results (zxtoth, ftbpicks) and had a couple of distinct failures (sean, HLS2015). I would say it's a bit more of a "roll of the dice" than some of the most well-known FUE docs. For FUT? Absolutely, in a heartbeat. For FUE? Less clear...
  2. To be honest (and this is in no way intended criticise your results, which are looking superb by the way!) I think that may be due to the fact that H & W appear to routinely take their FUT scars quite a bit higher than other clinics in order to facilitate this type of haircut. Again, not really a negative, but I don't think it's down to some "scar-wizardry" (though obviously, H&W have more experience than most when it comes to FUT)!
  3. Apologies for the thread necro, but can Dr. Rahal's clinic confirm whether this result was FUE or FUT? It's listed on the majority of forums as FUE, yet when I viewed the result under the "Find a Quality Physician" > " Patient Results" section, it as listed as FUT.
  4. You're going to have more hair than you know what to do with after this growns in, Ernie. Dr. Rahal had already designed you a beautiful hairline and this will no doubt be the icing on the proverbial cake!
  5. For purely aesthetic value my top 3 would be: 1. Dr. Rahal 2. Dr. Hasson 3. Dr. Diep
  6. Hasson and Wong are turning out some pretty great FUE results lately, if you're intent on staying in Canada.
  7. Dang Ernie, not wasting any time I see! All the best on your 2nd op, you're in good hands and I think the decision to go for FUT makes sense. If you're desperate to cut your hair markedly shorter you can always FUE into the scar at a later date, without getting any other work done Rahal is the master of aesthetics imo, as your previous results (and countless others) prove! Rest up, get ready to have ridiculously nice hair!
  8. I'm not going to categorically state anything either way about the issue of using too many grafts but I will make reference to the case cited earlier in this thread. Remember, not all NW 2s are created equal and this PT had his hair brushed forward to disguise his loss. He also had decidedly weak temple points which appear to have been fully restored or at least heavily augmented. The patient also had fine hair and thus, would inevitably require more grafts. The area transplanted is quoted @ 60cm, meaning that the transplanted density should be (based on the graft count) somewhere in the region of 62cm2. To me, that does not seem particularly excessive for a patient with fine hair seeking a relatively aggressive restoration. I am certain I have seen results from other much less maligned clinics at similar densities.
  9. Dr. K just doesn't miss and this looks to be on course for another stellar result!
  10. I would definitely give both Finasteride and Minoxidil a go. You seem to be an ideal "type" of candidate in that typically the best responses I have seen from the combined use of the medications are from people with a significant amount of miniaturised hair. There's no guarantee that you'll restore it and the application/progress will take some persistence on your part (we're talking 6-12mos to see real progress/evaluate efficacy) but you could very well avoid surgery altogether. Worst case scenario, you take solid steps towards "stabilising" your hair loss prior to further treatment. I was lucky enough to get a decent response from them and it improved my situation quite a bit (link to my thread in profile, if curious) and I had more recession than you, i'd say. You seem to be ideally placed to start meds but that's strictly my opinion and you should only proceed if comfortable. Best of luck, whatever you decide!
  11. Extremely impressive result. H & W FUE seems well and truly on the map thesedays. Enjoy that mop, sir!
  12. Wow, 4.4k grafts (even with your fine, blonde hair) on top of that starting point is going to lead to a pretty amazing head of hair. Dr. Erdogan is one of the GOAT when it comes to FUE imo, try and relax now and wait for the fun to start!
  13. Not that one result should, by any means, be taken as justification for your choice, but here's an example of a stunning temporal peak restoration by Medikemos (Lupanzula). Admittedly this was done over the course of two surgeries but I don't think I've ever seen such an impressive overhaul of a hairline/temple points.
  14. Agreed 100% - tired of seeing this type of presentation. Almost no one on this forum is going to see a result like that (which I agree is an obvious improvement) and be conned into thinking "wow, look at that full head of hair!". Borderline disingenuous to not show the hairline exposed. Present these pics alongside by all means so we get the "coverage impression", too.
  15. Just watched his post match presser from WH's last game and even under quite harsh lighting it already looks quite good. As for those who suggested the hairline was too low I think now that it has grown in you can definitely see that it was not. You can't get much more natural than mimicking someones original hairline and I'm pretty sure it's going to look great when fully matured.
  16. Fantastic result. Dr. Diep has done you proud with that hairline, looks exceptionally natural. Enjoy!
  17. Awesome result mate. Are you satisfied with the way your left side ended up? Erdogan really is the man when it comes to FUE cases of this type.
  18. To be honest, given the characteristics of the patient and the amount of grafts used, this result is a little underwhelming imo.
  19. Really nice result. Very well designed hairline (not really a surprise from this clinic ) and a modest graft count - nicely done Dr.!
