  1. Speaking as a person with probably the most sensitive skin on here.. I'll say this: The brand you choose matters! Toppikk has actually been good to me, in comparison to an ebay knock off brand. I don't think I've ever had "infection" but irritation... hell yea! It's annoying, but it comes and goes and I haven't stopped. Also, I think either my skin's building up a tolerance or I'm applying better because it happens less frequently these days.
  2. Hey Bro! You're talking to Doctor Mohebi's # 1 fan. haha Did so much due diligence before I ran into him. Feel free to check my before and after pic. Did you meet face to face yet?

  6. Hey man, I hope these people are trustworthy because that seems like way too many grafts. I'd consider researching a few more Doctors on this forum and going in for follow up opinions. Best of luck!
  7. That is absolutely incredible! Talk about investment of a lifetime :-) You received that dramatic change from only 2800 grafts?!
  8. I totally understand the position you're in man, but as many users I basically pointing out "hair surgeon" and "cheapest" is an oxy-moron. I definitely think there's plenty of highly rated ones that are thousands of dollars in price differences and you should skim through those. That's what I did. But as far a "decent" Doctor or global.. You're taking a higher risk for not only an ineffective surgery but one that potentially does the opposite and causes more damage. This is one investment that you should think twice into price. Best of luck!
  9. Hey man! Congrats on your surgery and just wanted to let you know that your handle is an absolute winner! Stay clever :-)
  10. With all due respect, I gave up on making my hair smelling like garlic and onions.. And forming recipes that seem more elaborate than a Harry Potter spell. I just have to put this out there because I know there are people riding on this thread for hope and perhaps some really haven't experienced a Placebo and did experience a temporary cure, but I 1000% guarantee so many more experienced wasted time and smelly hair :-/ Feel free to try still, but just want to let you guys know I caved in and went to science. Getting FUE surgery performed and it worked. I've got permanent hair which I can re-shave and will come back. It's somewhere in the price range of a used car.. So I understand coming here 1st, but I just feel the message is useful for someone on here to see there really is hope, in case the remedies don't work out.
  11. Vox, okay. Glad to hear! Congrats on the successful surgery!!
  12. Got mine done with FUE at 25. With 2200 grafts in 12 hours. (With help of ARTAS the friendly robot! ha) Was the best decision I ever made in my life going with my surgeon. If you have decently noticable receding- I'd say the higher the better!
  13. I'd stay off as well. You're supposed to avoid things that can irritate you. Also, are you taking finasteride? This will dramatically help, especially can be useful to minimize shedding phase a bit.
  14. Hey CJ! I agree with all the above In my personal experience, it was shedding between the 3-6 week mark. Maybe started closer to 3 but then really progressed heading past 6. And in the end, everything came out phenomenal. I wish you the same!
  15. Hi Doc! Well speaking as a guy who got 2200 while much of time using the ARTAS robot, from a top Surgeon.. and it took 12 hours.. I may have to take your side unless the total surgery time was closer to 17 hours......
  16. I think if you've had enough healing time and you are going with an top class surgeon, it will go much smoother! My healing time was super quick and it was an amazing result. But can't say I'm on 3rd or 4th yet.
  17. Best of luck! As long as you did your due diligence, I say science and the doc will take care of the rest! And instruct you properly (post-op) as well! Mine was best decision of my life! Wishing you the same success!!
  18. Hey Zig! Thanks for the response. I just clicked and no longer see it, but if you get this feel free to reply again- and will answer!
  19. The ARTAS (robot that works with FUE) is what seems to be the go to as of now! I think it's awesome, that's what I had done for a lot of the procedure. And the retention rate of my hair that stayed was phenomenal!
  20. Yea.. I just googled. It's a little noticeable. Especially to him, if you're used to having full hair your whole life. I guess he plans to nip it in the bud. Can't blame him.
  21. Hey Drew! I'm from Los Angeles as well. The odd thing is Voxman competed in a competition with me for an FUE transplant a few years ago and I won and the surgery went amazing! I find it strange that Vox wouldn't recommend the Doctor because if he competed, I'd think he must have felt he was a great surgeon too. I would never have competed if I didn't feel he was safe. And it just so happened, in my opinion, he's the best too! His name's Dr. Mohebi. Feel free to do your due diligence. The guy serves on the board of FUE, wrote books on it, even patented his own tools for the procedure.
  22. Eventually, all great things must come to an end I'd say look into financing for future FUE procedures. I took that action and was the best decision I ever made. Good luck!
  23. Congrats! I agree with hsrp, if you've done your due diligence you're golden. I know the main recommended guys on the site a lot of times are promoted by paid affiliates. So it's important to check diff forums, yelp, etc. I'm over in LA and that's what I did with my Doc. I'm beyond grateful I did. Good Luck!
  24. I'm not here to steer you away. ha I got my transplant at 25 and was the best decision of my life. I highly recommend you look into FUE. Looks to me like you'd be a great candidate. Just have to find the Best Surgeon. *It's Key.
  25. Hey again! See you're all over these forums! ha I think there's a reason they generally cap out at 5. Also, are you taking Finasteride? In my opinion, that and a (good) hair surgeon are the only realistic options.
