  1. Lol thanks mate:) the density is great in all honesty, I couldn't be happier! Never thought when I started the journey at 26 that by 35 I'd get this kinda result, it's beyond my wildest dreams considering I was a diffuse thinner and had little hair from crown to hairline! My hair is pretty straight, maybe a slight bit more wavy since the transplants (it was completely straight naturally). I've always had pretty fine hair, it's probably denser now than it ever was naturally to be honest, all thanks to dr hassons unbelievable surgical ability and finesse. Not many surgeons can dense pack to this extent as reliably as dr hasson IMO, he has an innate ability to knock it out the park every time he takes a swing!
  2. Meant to state this in the title but I'm only at the 6 month post op stage Some of you may have seen my before and after pics in a previous thread, http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/174503-my-hair-loss-story-2000-grafts-dr-farjo-6000-grafts-dr-hasson-4years-post-op.html I've come a long way thanks to Dr Hasson and his team! I can't thank them enough for their help and support, theres a reason why Dr Hasson is considered by most to be the best in the business and that reason is his consistent, great results! He's certainly changed my life for the better... i literally look 10 years younger than when i first met him (2007) Anyway just under 6 months ago i had a small surgery to slightly modify the hairline, don't get me wrong it looked great pre (this) op (as you can see from the link to the previous thread) but I'd always waned a slightly straighter hairline, already I've had fantastic growth and even with such a small amount of grafts the improvement has been astronomical. I also hadn't posted any pics of my crown work i had in (? 2012, 1000 grafts) so I've also included a quick pic from above to show the improvement in the crown. I'll update with better pics as soon as i get some but heres what i have for now.... 4 pics indoors in natural light with my hair styled messy, the above pic is also of my hair messy and the last pic was at approx 5.5 months with my hair styled back with gel. I'm 6 months post op on november 5th so I still have improvement to come.... The last pic isn't showing scalp its just the outside light on the hair.... u literally can't see any scalp at all however my hair is styled thanks to the genius of Dr Hasson and his team. I can't recommend them enough and i owe so much to them. Comparisson pics: Pre-op 2007 (1 year post Op Farjo) 2012 (before crown work) 2015 (6 months post op hairline) Pre-op 2007 (1 year post Op Farjo) 2012 (before crown work) 2015 (6 months post op hairline)
  3. Pics would be good, sounds like you have a lot of hair loss? The problem is, as I'm sure you're aware that at your age without meds you're likely to get a whole lot more! Out of the surgeons you mentioned I would personally choose Lorenzo, he seems to be more conservative than the Turkish docs and has a stellar reputation on this site. If I were getting fue I'd choose him. I know a few people will recommend strip docs who also do fue like Rahal for instance but IMO you're far better sticking to an fue only surgeon. What's the pattern of hair loss in your family? If greater than NW5 I'm not sure if risk a HT at your age without meds, sure it'll probably look OK to start but given a few years it could start looking pretty unnatural. What side affects are you particularly worried about? I've been on propecia since 2007 personally and have had zero sides
  4. I agree 100% with this statement. IMO the results people post on here themselves don't seem to match the website pics. I'm not saying the website pics are falsified, but as u say the pic selection probably comes into it. its about whether you want to show your typical result or a collection of the top 1% you've ever treated and IMO the pics on the website are the top 1% (or less) the doc has ever produced. Just look at some of the threads posted by actual patients and compare. I also agree to disagree. Where appropriate dr hasson is not only fully capable of doing lower denser hairlines but in terms of overall density he's probably the best at it. IMO he produces the most consistent results of any HT surgeon out there. The difference between him and some others is ethics. Where he can do this, he won't do this (very low dense hairlines) if he feels that its inappropriate for that particular patient and won't serve them in the long run. A lot of docs will put a very low dense hairline on a patient that are in their mid 20s with a high chance of further loss just because the patient wants it and to satisfy their short term goal with no thought towards what will happen when the hair loss progresses. with dr hasson he takes into account your long term situation and really does care about his patients futures.
  5. Great result. Dr Hasson is hands down the most consistently great hair restoration surgeon out there IMO. He knocks everything he does outta the park. Great man, great surgeon, great results. He changed my life for the better and I'll forever be indebted to him. I'm sure there are thousands of other people out there who feel exactly the same!
  6. Outstanding! This type of result is pretty much the norm with H&W though, thats speaking from experience! I can also confirm as someone who's had multiple photos with H&W that they don't use flash photography
  7. Impressive result with a limited number of grafts in 1 session. Some other clinics would've used that number of grafts on a NW3 with lesser success! Dr Hasson is second to none when it comes to repairs and changing patients lives for the better! speaking as someone who's had surgery with him in the past he's certainly changed my life for the better! I've also had surgery with two other clinics recommended on this forum and visited multiple other clinics and I'd just like to say the level of professionalism, the way his team works, the cleanliness and clinical surroundings, the attention to detail and just overall results put him head and shoulders above any other surgeon IMHO. I feel very lucky i came across H&W and I've met several other former patients with the exact same views as myself! Thank you Dr Hasson for changing my life for the better I am and will forever be eternally grateful!
  8. I'd go with dr rahals opinion here. for a diffuse thinner i wouldn't consider a HT without propecia... when the rest falls out around the transplanted hairs (which it will without propecia) it will look bad!
  9. Thanks for the input mate! your results are great BTW! how many follicles do u think were wasted with your UK procedure? it says you had 2 ops, how many were transplanted each time? and who did the work? Feller did a fantastic job repairing it you head of hair at the moment is simply fantastic!
  10. I know mate, its tough because as your hair improves your expectations get higher, I've just always wanted a flatter hairline ever since my hairloss started and i was just thinking 1000 grafts really isn't much:/ the main problem for me is that i feel i have to comb my hair in such a way to hide the recessed hairline, i'd just prefer to not have 2 do this... this is is the last part of my hair i still feel (a little) self conscious about! also 9000+ grafts is more than most people are able to get and I've already have that, my final number would be more like 13000, after a 1000 procedure I'd still have 3000 grafts available.... so tempting:/
  11. I know mate, i've come real far, TBH though most of the mid scalp is transplanted hair as is the front part of the crown, i suppose it is just hair greed thats why i wanted 2 get opinions, my standpoint is that even with 1000 in the hairline, worst case scenario I'd still have 1000 more i could get from a further strip and 2000 from FUE, plus theres beard and body hair, add that to the fact that medication has stabilised my hair since 2007, thats the only reason I'm even considering it. Don't get me wrong I'm happy at the moment but the styling options are more limited than the'd be if the hairline were straighter! Looking at your profile pic u have great hair anyway mate
  12. I haven't had FUE yet mate, just debating whether to have them in the strip scar i have
  13. what do you guys think about this proposed hairline? like i said, ultimately i want beard/body hair FUE into the scar. I have 2000 available via strip and 1500-2000 after that via FUE. Before i fill in the scar does it make sense to use up 1000-1200 for this proposed hairline as when the strip scar is filled i won't have further strip, that'll still leave me with 2000 grafts for future loss via FUE. Keep in mind 90% of the hair on my head is already transplanted hair (9k grafts). I don't think this hairline is aggressive, i just want the option to wear my hair back as at the moment it looks great styled the way it is but slashed back its noticeably receded. Input would be appreciated as I'm really unsure whether to get this, or simply just leave as is and fill in the scar. **although i drew near the temple points, i probably wouldn't touch thees, i was just experimenting!**
  14. Thanks mate! Yeah I'm very happy in all honesty, I also had the slight thinning in the front part of the crown addressed in dec 2012. My laxity is apparently very good! Like I said dr Hasson estimated another 2000, another doc also estimated a further 2000 after that via FUE so potentially another 4000! I am considering beard/body hair FUE next year to fill in the scar so I can cut my hair closer, although I wasn't sure if I should take advantage of maybe 1000-1200 grafts via another strip before I fill in the strip scar, as when it's filled in I won't really want another strip:/ I wouldn't lower the hairline just flatten it out slightly as it's a slight M shape at the moment so it prevents the slashed back look which I'd quite like as a styling option!
  15. Reddy is supposed to be decent although I've not looked into him myself, I wouldn't go to harley street, as for farjo, I had my first HT with him, for my second HT I chose a different doctor, take that as u will! The only doctor I'd let near me in the UK is Lorenzo, he is working with farjo atm but apparently he's booked up to September at which point he leaves the UK and returns to Spain! In all honesty I think travelling outside the uk is your best option if Lorenzo is indeed booked up or u will regret it IMO!
  16. if it were me i would probably do two 1500 procedures 8 months apart, i feel this will give a much more reliable outcome. FUE is more time consuming so large procedures when done on the same day will result in a lower graft survival rate due to the time of the grafts outside the body IMO. Not sure about doing the procedure over 2 consecutive days, I'd definitely favour this over one large procedure in a day!
  17. One of the better farjo results I've seen tbh
  18. You went to H&W?? there is a definite improvement already, if H&W were in fact the clinic you really shouldn't have any problems, and if you do, i highly doubt any other clinic could've done better IMHO, there are some people who just don't seem to respond to HTs as well as others, hopefully this isn't the case with you. H&W are truly a class act and if any1 can get you where you wanna be its those guys! Of course i could be wrong about H&W being the clinic... the door behind u just looks really familiar!lol
  19. ive had about 7k in total from dr hasson, inc the temple points, he is fantastic so were the results... you'll be very happy in 9-12 months!!
  20. there is some controversy as to people all posting on this forum from the same IP address... the clinic! they've attempted to explain it but the explanation in my eyes wasn't sufficient... i think it satisfied the mods though
  21. no problem Jotronic, if you look at page 4 and 6, the patient has posted much clearer post op pics, he assures me there is no topik used, but it looks night and day from the pre-op pics... the hair all over the scalp looks better quality and denser, theres only so much that can be done with styling if no concealer is being used... would u attribute this to a phenomenal response to meds or do u think something else is going on with this case?
