  1. after 3 ops with Dr Hasson myself i concur ur in great hands, and he is such a nice genuine guy! I had great results from him and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others! As for vancouver, having spent a total of 6weeks there over the years it feels like a second home! Dr hasson is the best in the world at what he does... giving people high on the NW scale great hair!
  2. Why on earth didn't your surgeon excise old scars while performing new strip ops, surely this is standard procedure? Every strip surgery I have had, they have always excised the previous scar! 3 scars in a row is bordering on negligence IMO. As far as repairs, I'd get a better series of pics and email dr Lindsey for an opinion
  3. At 15 weeks its likely you will have some shock loss there so this may improve a bit over time. Who was your surgeon? have you contacted them for an opinion?
  4. the best FUE surgeon in the world IMO is Dr Lorenzo, here is his website Injerto Capilar he is usually based in Madrid Spain but at the present time up until around september i believe he is working with the Farjo clinic in the UK (Manchester to be exact). I really wouldn't look any further than there if money isn't an issue
  5. Each to their own mate, personally I wouldn't do it but it's up2u
  6. I so know what u mean mate but personally I'd never use body hair I'm the hairline and temples as it's not close enough to scalp hair to look good IMO
  7. Why chest hair? Why not scalp hair? In any case I wouldn't have body hair into the hairline/temples, at most it's better used as a filler when you've not got the available scalp hair, beard hair is generally closer to scalp hair than chest hair is, even so avoid this in the hairline/temple area
  8. hi sean whats your current status? were free grafts given/needed, or did the result improve further over time?
  9. I honestly think you're in a good position if you can stabilise your hair loss... but i can't stress how important that actually is! i was a diffuse thinner but i didn't discover propecia until 2007 (i was 27) at which point id lost a lot of hair! at 23 my hair loss was pretty much identical to yours! propecia helped my no end and i have had a few procedures to get me back to pretty much a full head of hair! check my story on this link if u like http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/174502-my-hair-transplant-story-2000grafts-dr-farjo-6000-dr-hasson-4-years-post-op.html although I've had some crown work done since then in 2012 because as u can see from the pics i had a slight thinning of the crown also which wasn't addressed in the previous surgeries PM me if you wanna know anything about medication/surgeries/good surgeons etc. I'm not an expert but i have a lot of experience having had multiple surgeries and using minos/propecia since 2007
  10. A diffuse thinner is someone who isn't just receding but thinning out all over the top of the head which is why propecia would be so important for you, I'd send emails of pics to the top guys for advice tbh people like Hasson & Wong, Rahal, Konior, Lorenzo etc.
  11. I think you need to get on propecia, give it a year, see if your hair loss stabilises and reassess, if you don't stop your hair loss further progessing it's absolutely pointless getting a HT, because by the time it grows in you will have lost more hair, if you can stabilise the hair loss you'll see good results from a ht because you still have a lot of native hair, if you don't stabilise your hair loss it will most likely progress moving you up the NW scale meaning more grafts and less chance of a successful outcome!
  12. What's the density like on the shaved back and sides? I agree that u certainly need to get on medication and then be prepared to travel for the best doc, for strip my top 3 would be Hasson, Rahal or Konior. The only one I'd trust personally with FUE would be Lorenzo.
  13. 2500 is low if your after a 1 pass surgery with your current hair loss IMO! Also your 3 chief reasons for choosing your doctor were price, location and availability?! Seriously? Come on mate they should be at the bottom of your list! The best surgeons will have a waiting list and you should be prepared to travel!
  14. Not really results... Nothing's grown yet... Who's to say any of them will if it was done in a beauty saloon?!
  15. heres my thoughts.... going off reputation, I've had tremendous results from dr hasson, and IMO he's in the top 3 for pretty much every category (except FUE, because he doesn't do it) 1) best hairline doc - Dr Rahal 2) best crown doc - Dr Wong 3) best mega-session doc - Dr Hasson (hands down) 4) best FUE doc - Dr Lorenzo 5) best scar revision doc - Dr. Lindsey 6) best repair doc - H&W (both doctors tremendous - see Jotronic) 7) best body hair/beard hair FUE doc - Dr Umar (by experience alone) 8) best value doc (budget clinic with good results) - Dr Koray Erdogan (wouldn't call his a budget clinic but the prices seem very good - 2.5 euros per graft FUE with a world class surgeon) there aren't many surgeons id trust with my scalp but all those listed above plus probably Dr Feller, Dr Konior, Dr Shaprio, Dr. Feriduni and Dr. Bisanga My personal top 5 would be (in no particular order) Dr Hasson Dr Rahal Dr Lorenzo (my only choice for FUE) Dr Konior Dr Feller
  16. thanks for sharing your experience, I'm a big fan of Dr. Lorenzo's FUE work, I'd definitely consider him for a scar repair myself! 3 quick questions.... were the beard hairs used for the scar repairs? were any scalp hairs used in the scar and lastly were you given the option to extract from under the chin rather than the side of your face?
  17. If you had to name the best doctor under the specific categories who would it be? One doctor per category, you can use the same doctor multiple times.... Thought it could be a fun/good thread, obviously opinions are going to differ but this could be a useful thread for people looking into a HT for a specific task 1) best hairline doc 2) best crown doc 3) best mega-session doc 4) best FUE doc 5) best scar revision doc 6) best repair doc 7) best body hair/beard hair FUE doc 8) best value doc (budget clinic with good results)
  18. Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback, the hair actually isn't dyed in any of the pics but it does look a different colour in all of them... Weird!lol
  19. Yeah mate it's pretty thick, just takes a couple of mins 2 style, don't need any intricate combing!lol my scalp is not visible at all since the crown was also addressed. I'm very happy, as for propecia I'm just on the standard dose boots prescribe 1mg daily I believe... I could be wrong though. Considering I'm now almost 6 years post op from the main Hasson op it's holding up tremendously! I highly recommend dr Hasson to any1 considering a ht
  20. Well almost 6 years on now and no signs of any thinning as of yet...
  21. Thanks for the response! I'm pretty happy 2b fair, dr Hasson is a complete legend IMO
