  1. I'm a huge tennis fan and always had my eye on Nadal's hair while playing--not to mention his countless OCD ways . Sadly, few of us can be blessed with the likes of Novak Djokovic hair! I'll keep an eye our for what Nadal looks like come the Australian Open, which is just around the corner.
  2. Mikey, what is the current status of your procedure from back in July to remedy the shock loss and FUE into the strip scar? I see you have not updated that thread in quite some time. Hope things are improving for you.
  3. What are your goals? How many grafts do you anticipate needing? If you want better feedback from this forum, I would take at least a half dozen photos of your areas of concern and present them openly to this community. There typically is no one surgeon fits all approach in this industry. But you would be doing yourself a disservice by not getting opinions and consultations from some of the best: Cooley, Konior, Hasson & Wong, Gabel, Shapiro, Lindsey, Bisanga, Erdogan, etc to name off a few. You will find that no two doctors will likely have the same approach to meet your end goals. Ultimately, you need to explore your options and find out who YOU are most comfortable proceeding with. Have you even consulted with Dr. Diep? If you are that concerned about proximity, you owe it to yourself to at least have a consultation with him. He does perform both FUT and FUE. As I said before, go through HTsoon's threads seen here (his are all FUE though): http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180319-3-900-grafts-norwood-6-7-dr-diep-dr-behnam.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184979-fue-dr-diep-1-300-grafts-total-5-300-a.html Edit* I see HTsoon beat me to it! Knew he would chime in
  4. Dr. Diep is located in San Francisco, and comes highly recommended from several users on this board. User HTsoon has detailed his accounts extensively with Dr. Diep--you should definitely check out his threads and see if this surgeon may suit your needs. Also, do not ever limit your selection of surgeon to only your current residence. Not to sound rude, but I can tell you have not done your due diligence in basic research on this forum. Do yourself a favor and be open minded to traveling for a procedure of this magnitude; People fly all over the world to have procedures with the hair transplant surgeon of their choice.
  5. I will echo what Spanker and hsrp10 have said, in that you've made a lot of really good progress. Definitely a large amount of real estate covered in 2900 grafts. Also, glad you posted pics of the hairline as it is looking quite stellar! Must feel great to have a shaped and defined hairline once again.
  6. Your hair looks great! Any pre-op photos before both surgeries to give people a better idea of where you started?
  7. Looking forward to your 1.5 year pics! Also, what was your thoughts on using the Derma E scar gel? Do you feel like it helped quite a bit and was worthwhile?
  8. Something odd must be happening on your end . It's accessible over PC and mobile for me. Loads up properly. Great to hear you've had such a good experience. Looking forward to updated pics
  9. As Transhair suggested, sign into your profile and simple click "Messages" at the top header. Should be as simple as that, either by computer or mobile. How are you looking at almost 9 months post op now? And are you still thinking a second procedure is in the works for you?
  10. Sam, those scabs and crusts are definitely holding on. I'd of thought you'd mostly be in the clear by one month's time. Maybe not washing thoroughly enough? Have you asked Konior about this just to be sure? Also, how's the scar looking and feeling after 30 days?
  11. 11 months! You got yourself a long wait ahead of you. Was that the soonest opening Rahal had? Looked like you had a very successful first surgery, so I will be wishing you all the best this go around
  12. How's your hairline looking at month 5? I see you like to keep your hair combed forward covering this, but it would be nice to see how things are developing in that area.
  13. You look like you had excellent results . And you are obviously keeping your hair longer compared to your blog photos. I think members here would need better pictures of your aforementioned problem areas to see what's really lacking. Photos with your hairline pulled back and exposed, rather than down and sprawled out. Also parting the hair in the mid-scalp where the density is lacking.
  14. I'd be curious to know what Canseco's current hair looks like and what his goals are. I've not seen him in quite a few years now, but he always had incredibly thick, lush hair whenever I saw him. I'd of never thought he'd run into any issues.
  15. Looking great, Sam! I assume this was FUT? Wish your post-op pics were as clear as your pre-ops . I honestly think your chosen hairline looks very appropriate. You also appear to have an excellent base, so I think this will really work out great in your favor. What made you hold off for 4+ years? Was it just bad timing or were there other issues involved?
  16. Thanks for explaining, Spanker . Definitely a smart approach for improving graft survival. Is this standard for Dr. Konior if a large strip session is in order? Curious, is there a specific graft number threshold that makes this the better option?
  17. Appears to be a very successful procedure for this man. It's also nice to see long term cases like this. Does he have plans to address the crown at all? I had one other question: what is meant by a "staged strip harvest" as this was the man's only procedure by you?
  18. How's your scar been healing since the 1 month photo? Has the redness in the scar and recipient area cleared up since then? Any lingering discomfort in the donor region? Looks like you should be pulling through the worst parts and heading for greener pastures. Very interested to see your 5 and 6 month photos.
  19. Fairly certain Patrick Warburton has had some hairline work done as you compare him back from his Seinfeld days to current:
  20. Van Damme had great hair all the way into almost his late 40's I'd say. Here's a picture of him at 36 with some very lucious locks : And here's VD at the Expendables 2 premier in 2012 at age 52: He's thinned out a good deal in frontal third. He's still seems strong in the crown luckily. I don't think VD has ever had any hair restoration work performed; though I do know he is quite self-conscious about it as he is most commonly seen wearing a ball cap these days. Like Spanker says, the late in life hair loss is rather alarming, considering where all these guys were in their late 30's and early 40's.
  21. Nice thread, Spanker! These are three of my all-time favorite action legends. You can bet I've paid close attention to their hair across their entire filmography Honestly, I never thought Stallone wore a system. He had great hair across all the Rocky's and beyond. The movie for me that comes to mind when you notice his hairline recede back some was Judge Dredd: Obviously still great hair, just noting the high/recessive type nature of the hairline that really wasn't evident 10 years ago. I then remember seeing Rambo 4 in 2008 and was quite taken aback by his lowered, straight across hairline: At the time, I just thought he had a very successful frontal restoration done, which is not hard to believe since I don't see stallone losing much more beyond his frontal third ever. Comments on Arnold and Van Damme to come...
  22. Incredible results! You must be over the moon and then some! Like Spidey mentioned, do you have any immediate post-op pics of your most recent 660 graft procedure? Would be nice to see these.
  23. How many grafts was his case with you, and how many were used in his prior two procedures? Would you plan to shave the recipient if you/he decided to add more? As others have said, he looks terrific already!
  24. Looks terrific, Spidey! Hairline appears natural and no obvious gaps or irregular spacing. Obviously a great yield!
  25. What happened to cause your loss of the graft? Was there bleeding?
