Does Fraxel really work on scars?
Noodles123 replied to jrbiz's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I don't think Fraxel will help much. Like the previous poster said, cortisone injections are much more reliable in flattening scars, while Vbeam would be more effective towards reducing the redness. I know many people who've done many sessions of Fraxel for things like acne scars on the face, and frankly it doesn't work. -
This is heartbreaking. First off, I'm very sorry you are going through this. This frankly rivals the botched jobs of decades ago, not something in 2014. You have more than a strong case for a malpractice lawsuit. You should sue them for everything they're worth for inflicting permanent and disfiguring damage. At the very least fight it with your credit card company (if you used one) and get it charged back. Some people have had success with that route.

Urgent help: Dr. Bernardino Arocha vs. Dr. Raymond Konior
Noodles123 replied to Darween's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hands down Konior. A world class, artistic surgeon in your very back yard. If it was me, I would go to him in a heartbeat. -
Seriously who cares how his hair loss will progress. The man is 50 and he wants to enjoy it now. Just recommended a friend to go see Rahal because of his reputation for hairlines, but now I wished I would have mentioned Konior to him as well.

Joe Tillman Now Representing Rahal
Noodles123 replied to JoeTillman's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
Reading all your posts, and I cannot for the life of me understand what you are ranting and raving about. I'm still not quite sure what your issue is. You say one thing then contradict yourself several times within the same passage. What is wrong with Joe saying that H&W were the best in the world? At one point, they probably were the best in the world, and so that statement would have been true. If H&W were a back alley butcher type of operation, then I can see why promoting them would be reprehensible. For any of your comments to make any sense logically, there would have to be people who have been clearly taken advantage of or damaged. Your issue apparently only has to do with Joe and not with the practice itself. I don't understand the virulent personal attack on him, and for that matter, not being able to even site specific examples of how he has "wronged" patients. -
3000 graft FUE with Dr Maral..before and after
Noodles123 replied to JimmyNeutron's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Yeah, I'd say so... You look like a different person. -
Would they have been similarly shocked if you just said Propecia? There's no difference in the active ingredient except Propecia is 1mg and marketed specifically for MPB. Proscar is also finasteride but in 5 MG tablets. If you weren't responding anymore to Propecia, then why would you respond to Proscar? Not understanding. Unless you mean it's easier to take a higher dose with one Proscar tablet divided into 2 versus taking 2 Propecia tablets.

Thailand Hair Clinic-Kiwi reviewer needed
Noodles123 replied to Carlos1234's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
If you've decided to do this in Thailand, then I'd go to this guy. Yes he is not a recommended surgeon, but from what I've read about this guy, he is quite well known in Asian hair transplant circles and the results are impressive. The documentation is standardized and the results are consistent.- 9 replies

Why almost all transplants STILL look unnatural.
Noodles123 replied to hairyjoe's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
There are surgeons out there who can deliver results that closely resemble nature. The only people who can point out the "unnaturalness" would be us, a bunch of guys who spend too much time obsessing about minute details that would escape most notice by ordinary people. Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good. -
help me for puffy cheeks caused by finastride

Losing weight doesn't mean anything unless you are losing body fat. You can have two guys who are the same height and be the same weight and yet look completely different due to body composition. -
Why almost all transplants STILL look unnatural.
Noodles123 replied to hairyjoe's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Well true to an extent, but a big part of it is that people don't know how to style their hair appropriately. Sometimes the biggest give away is patients choosing to style their hair in a way that is not suitable for transplanted hair. Trying to relive the glory days by slicking your transplanted hair straight back or spiking it straight up does not help with the illusion when natural light hits your head. You need to be a little clever because transplanted hair can never achieve natural density. -
The ones who say that always have good hair. It's easy to be above it all when you aren't dealing with it.

So impressive how the grafts are packed so tightly. I love the attention to detail and how the angles are flat against the scalp, which is how a women's hairline should look.

Procedure booked w/ Dr. Rahal (second transplant)
Noodles123 replied to win200's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I think your current hairline is very believable and age appropriate. But hey, if you have cash to burn and going to a top notch surgeon, then go for it. -
More and more posters hell-bent on going to non-recommended surgeons?
Noodles123 replied to hsrp10's topic in Off-Topic Posts
Also particularly annoying is the sometimes startling ignorance of some of the posts. It seems like a lot of guys, particularly young and naive, do not do ANY research and it shows in the nature of their questions. It seems like a mixture of intellectual laziness and blind trust in the physician. There is a physician who is constantly mentioned on this forum simply because the price for FUE is ridiculously cheap, not because the work is particularly good, or even average as a matter of fact. -
Considering the pretty significant number of grafts extracted it does not look terrible. It is noticeable, but not disfiguring. I agree that smp should help tremendously to camouflage the white dots. Then again, your hair is very aggressively short in the back. As for your doctor, his name has come up before and I do not believe it was in a positive light.
-
Absolutely it could be related. The stress of the surgery pushed me into a ridiculous shed that lasted a couple of months. It was literally falling out in clumps each time I showered. Luckily I believe it mostly grew back, but it was very distressing at the time. If the hair was strong, eventually it will regrow but it's not unheard of to have a hair transplant and end up accelerating your hair loss due to the trauma of the surgery.

I think this is hair transplant at the hairline, with a piece behind it.

Raymond Konior, MD - 4,320 FUT Grafts - August 2013
Noodles123 replied to 1978matt's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Wow... amazing transformation. Without even seeing any facial features you can clearly see how much a very receded hairline can age a guy beyond his years. -
Run hand through hair and hairs come out
Noodles123 replied to GoPokes's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
Spanker when you say the caliber of the hair that falls out is more important, can you clarify? If healthy, thick terminal hairs fall out is that better or worse? Nowadays the hair that falls out for me are mostly very miniaturized hair. Also, I know this has been asked before, but if the hair falls out with the white bulb at the end does it regrow?
