In net i found underactive thyroid is hypothyroidism and increase in weight is one of its symptom. I am searching for a best Thyroid testing lab in my place where they will take blood sample specifically for thyroid issue. Now fear increases in me. :confused: Is hypothyroidism very harmful like any other dangerous disease ? is it permanently curable? what is the main cause of hypothyroidism ? sorry for my too many questions Mr.Gillenator ... please help me out from this ...THANKS IN ADVANCE

Yes of course your guess and scientific fact is right but my brother who looks similar like me or i look similar to him and he is around 80 kg without chubby cheeks , but i am only 65 kg with chubby cheek is quite abnormal right Mr.blahblah that too recent it happened after taking fin

Yes, i gained weight up to 10 -13 kg that too i am having only normal meal what i had before and specifically i will take only 2 bread slice in the morning or sometimes i won't even take anything . After going to gym i reduced up to 4 kg with strict diet, but only with slight REDUCE in PUFFY CHEEK. Thank you very much @gillenator, Yes even i was thinking whether i might got thyroid, but no one has thyroid in my family. Is thyroid cause by genetic ? or by any other means ? By blood work-up you mean "Blood test" right ? any way, i will take blood test and even thyroid test , but one side i am sure, because from the day( i mean after several months) when i take this fin my cousin started telling about occurrence of puffy cheek. No, i am not taking any supplement for body building, i only do cardio( tread mill and efx) not body building. BTW,in some forum they say it is because increase in estrogen because ANDROGEN LEVEL WILL BE DECREASED and so advising to take anti- estrogen TABLET . is this true ? or some myth ?

Thank you very much for you useful reply @Garageland, I am in india and so branded Propecia or Proscar are not available. so i am using generic ( finax by DR reddy) so do you think FINAX by DR Reddy 1 mg may be the cause for my puffy cheek ? if so shall i switch to " Finpecia" by CIPLA another famous brand in india? but even in the below site they have mentioned one of the finasteride side effect is "Bloating or swelling of the face, arms, hands, lower legs, or feet" as side effect As you said shall i reduce the dosage? i am don't know how to reduce dosage so shall i take 3 days per week instead of taking it daily ? will this give me effect ? how long it will take to give me effect ? please help me out in taking a best decision which will save me from puffy cheek and hairloss.. both are my concern Mr.Garageland.. thanks in advance

But what ever you guessed don't applicable for me because i have a brother who is 5 years elder than me and he will have more food and more fat item but still his face is not chubby and he don't have puffy cheek but he only has tummy like wise even my parents they don't have chubby cheeks , my father will eat more he only has tummy and my mother who has very lean face cut even though she takes normal food like me. My father use to tease me that why i have big face... and he will ask me to stop the medicine that i am taking. So please help me out @Garageland..Thanks in advance

Hi guys, Hope all are fine here. I am using finasteride for about 4 years and i am very happy with the hair result, now i got full head hair. But i was noticing my face is getting swollen gradually, especially my cheek since i started taking finasteride. I didn't take care of it but now my face has became puffy cheek filled fully with fat and my facial bone are not visible now. I am damn sure that i am taking normal regular diet that i was taking before. So now i am going to gym and doing cardio and my weight is getting reduced but still my face some what remain same, i mean no drastic result of going to gym. i even stopped taking fat foods. So my question is 1. does any one here faced this puffy cheek problem ? if so what did you do to reduce the puffy cheek and maintained the hair loss ? 2. Is there any alternative medicine( dutasteride or any other) which could maintain my hair without giving puffy cheek ? 3. or shall i stop taking finasteride for 3 months and then gradually start taking it with 1 mg per week to stop hair loss ? will this work without hair loss ? Please guys help me out to take best decision ...... Thanks in advance

@ BrianR brother, Yes of course GOD CAN !!!!and GOD WILL!!!! but if i really need it and if i pray for it !!!!! but i like this ED and i feel so happy in CONCENTRATING MORE ON SPIRITUAL LIFE . GOD didn't cause any thing to human but human being are the cause for their sufferings !fact!. For me it is premature boldness because of my sin !!!!!!! and my forefathers sin . (Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows). But by GOD's mercy i am happy now in all the blessing i received from GOD. And For many people this medication didn't worked but it worked for me even without using minoxidil and i had testicle problem and even that problem is solved automatically Any ways right now i am not in need to cure ED but i wanted after 3 year , i will be ready if i know it early bro .. , just because of my curiosity . thank you

Thanks for your reply @Future_HT_Doc , First , i am living in India in a place where the DOCTORS they don't know any thing about why hair loss occurs , i wasted money going there , by GOD 's grace i found this forum and they advised me to take FDA approved(finasteride + minoxidil ) medicine for hair loss and it worked and now i am happily praising GOD for hair and also i like the way i am showing less interest in SEX and more on Spiritual , music , job ext ...... I am now not so rich enough to GO to U.S or U.K to consult good physician , so i thought many people here sure have experience symptom like this and sure they have consulted DOCTORS and found a great solution and so that they can share it for me right ? any way thanks at least you replied me . I read one Propecia site where one guy was having symtom like mine but they have advised him to stop taking Propecia for one week before he is into intercourse . ....please guys share your medication with me for this problem.. hi guys , I was taking finasteride(finax) for more than 3 years , i am so happy with thicker hair, and also i enjoy the sides ( Erectile Dysfunction ) because it made me less interest in sex and concentrate more on JOB and spiritual development and more sharpness ext . But Any way this gone be problem for me in the future , i mean after marriage , so what i wanted is : 1. Is there any way(medicines like Viagra) can give erection with out side effects , but i heard Viagra giving side effects. SO help me in giving me a good medicine for ED Also i noticed that sperm comes out is very less is quantity and not colloidal like i had before 3 years . I am afraid whether finasteride will control sperm production ? if so help me in giving medicine to produce more sperm so that it wont be problem in reproduction , so that my future wife can barre baby .. thank you very much for your valuable reply mattj , Sure for now i won't switch to "dutas" , but i am afraid about the future , because i have heard many saying that fin worked well only for five years but after that it looses it effectiveness ,and leads back to baldness :confused::confused::confused: Since sudden switching from "fin" to "dutas" will lead to more shedding , i am planning to make my body adapt to "dutas" in precaution just by taking "dutas" for 2 days and "fin" for remaining 5 days . :confused:. 1. so , is it good idea of taking "dutas" for 2 days and "fin" for remaining days ? will that really work ? have any one tried like this and got synergistic effect ?

By grace of god Jesus Christ, Fin really does worked for me , now i got full head hair , but affected hairs in the front and in the crown are thinner than the hairs that are in the sides , but still shredding is very less by grace of god . Actually , i am staying in a city where Doctors still not aware of DHT factor and male pattern baldness . I went to the best doctors in my city , they have just suggested many tablets and many creams ,sampoo , i used it for 9 months , but no use . And i prayed my god Jesus Christ and god made me to understand the real factor of baldness , so i started taking generic fin , within three months it self i got good benefit , and my hair stopped falling and regrowth started , absolutely it is because of god jesus christ , because as per the research , fin will give synergistic effect only after a year that too along with MINOX , But i am not applying minox . After taking fin , i faced "Erectile dysfunction(ED)" . And till now i am facing Erectile dysfunction(ED) , but slowly ED is getting reduced , and again my Erection is becoming normal ,so i am afraid whether fin is loosing its effectiveness . that is why i am trying to switch from "Fin" to "Dutas" . or planing to take "fin" for three days and "dutas" for four days . so please advice me guys ...... i am in confused state

hi guys , I am taking fin for 8 months , but i am afraid whether fin will loss its power as the days goes , and has lot of side effects , so planning to switch from "fin" to "duras" . so first thing is , 1. is my idea is good idea ? 2. can i take fin for three days and duras for four days and slowly switch to duras fully ? 3. is there any one here really got good result from "duras" ? please help me guys ...thanks in advance

thanks a lot my dear friend . sure i will wash my hair daily with" head and shoulder " but only after one month ! because i am really quite afraid of applying shampoo daily , so while using minox for one month i will wash my hair with just water and if i feel my hair is turning some what thicker then i will start using "head and sholders " daily . Because the thin hair have less strength in its root so it may fall off easily if we regularly apply shampoo sorry if my guess is wrong buddy

But to see the energetic effect of hair becoming thicker i am going to use "minoxidil " . 1. bro, i don't trust "head and shoulder s " because it is not FDA approved shampoo right ? i am so much afraid whether it will affect the improvement of my current medication . And that too i will not wash my head daily ; only weekly twice i will wash my head with Nizoral shampoo . are you applying " head and shoulder s" to your head daily ? is it maintaining your hair ? 2. if i am applying "minoxidil" daily , should i have to wash my hair daily with shampoo or just washing with water is enough bro ?
