  1. Hi Everyone, Doe's fraxel really work on improving and flattening scars? Does it also improve the texture to match the surrounding skin? I have some raised area's ( a little) and the texture is soft in the back. I considering smp on my scar and i want my scar to look as good as it can to get it for a better percentage of coverage. I spoke with Dr Umar what his thoughts were on fraxel on the scar and he really didn't know. He told me he never done this procedure on a scar before. But we can try it he said. Before i spend $1,500, i would love this forums advice. Thanks so much everyone. I'll check in later. Jrbiz
  2. Hi everyone, i have a question. I visited afew ht physicians for a revision and two that were recommended on this forum had told me these two different deep suture techniques. So i ask you and maybe a physician can explain this. What is the difference if there is one between a subcuticular closure technique and a Facial closure technique? Which technique is better/stronger for a scar from ear to ear? Also, another ?. The physician that does the facial closure offers free acell with the procedure. I thought this helps with healing or want i been told it could prevent the scar from returning red like i have now. But i just read in another thread that it will make the scar worse and not to use it. The physician that does the subcuticular closure offers prp in combinations with acell for $1,200. Is this a waste of money or will it help my scar? Thanks
  3. Sasha, How did your scar revision turn out with Dr Pak? Improvement? JR
  4. Hi Sasha, nice to hear from you. How did your scar revision come out? Did you get one? You said you had a 1/2 inch scar from ear to ear and you were going to do the revision first. My situation is just like yours. I also have a bad scar from ear to ear with the type of scalp was elastic, that could lead to increased stretching. I'm considering Dr Pak for the revision then maybe i would look into smp. But i know you will still have the smiley face on the back. I might put a real tattoo on the back and maybe smp on the sides. Just want to get this hat off my head. I already tried beard hair in the scar and it didn't hold. Now im back to a revision since i have the laxity. Did you get a improvement with the scar revision? Thanks so much Sasha, JR
