  1. also its info on shbg and igf1 is very standardised and it can not be generalised to an individual at any one time, as hormones in any one person change and become unbalanced from day to day and months to month.... its how the body works..... and sex hormone binding globulin often increases and decreases along with the testosterone and oestrogen ratio... for example.... you could have low total testosterone, low shbg and large numbers of free test and oestrogens and estradol..... which would be ok and indicate, normal bodily functions... and hormonal shifts due to the body creating homeo stasis, the hormonal workings are very very complex. and should be given the upmost respect and not taken to far out of balance as it can very hard to get the axis correct if you dont know what is happening... and some of the issues spoken about are very similar to long term finest sides in respect to ratios getting out of line for long term.
  2. dr path is alreday on the coalition and recomended isnt he? but yes he fully deserves the award
  3. best advice and info i can offer is, finest will reduce the risk of you perm losing your native hair that gets effected by trauma during the HT it will also bring back some hairs that are on the brink of being lost for ever and help reduce the risk of severe shock loss!!!! inregards to minox if you can get 5mg loniton (oral tablet minox) an take it, it will give u better results than the lotion and no itching or styling issues throw in some 2% nizoral shampoo every 10 days and some healthy eating and living.... also think about adding some multi vits, omega oil,msm supplements and that is as good as you can get......... this will help restore dying hairs and all round hair health also after looking at your pics i would say go for it fue would be the perfect option for you, no scar and only 1000 or 1500 grafts to rienforce hair line would frame your face and no doubt make you look years younger i think go for it.... fue i would strongly consider dr feller good luck:D
  4. great post swimmy, wil def be trying to inculde more of the big 3 foods etc mentioned even more than i do already ive also just started to lower my oestrogen doing .5mg of adex every other day for 4 weeks to combate the high oestrogen that finest builds up!!! but i have to say after 3 weeks im feeling like superman increased energy, sexdrive, i just feel more power like a man could be plecebo but what ever it is i feel better tahn i have for while!!!! minox ive switiched from topical to oral to help reduce scalp inflamation and irritation and havent noticedc any bad sides due to the oral minox form im on 5mg a day nizoral is great stuff and has done wonders for my hair but, you have to be very carefull not to use to much as it does dry out alot! every 10 days minimum! so far im very pleased buthe biggest benefit has been the anti oestrogen i strongly advise any one suffering sides from finest use to have a hormone test carried LH,FSH,TEST,ESTRADOL,OESTROGEN,FREE TEST,ANDROGEN LEVELS as somehting as simple as monitoring your oestrogen and regulating with your drs help can and does keep all other hormones stable as oestrogen is the hormone in men that has a more controling effect on balance even more so that testosterone, so if you control oestrogen you keep all the others stable to.... think of it like a see saw, high oestrogen low testosteron!! you want them both in the middle but finest use lowers test and makes oestrogen higher, if you then control and lower oestrogen back down test will increase and you will back to normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. ah righte when u say with ur fingers like gel, do you get like a pea sized blob out and make it wet and apply it like gel or do you use it dry and just smudge it in??? im a newbie to it and cant figure it out? but im planning on using dermatch base on thin spots then nanogen with hairspray!!! ??
  6. yes you are probly doing the right thing then, get the revision as good as you can then once its healed and settled down instead of getting the stubble look via tattoo may be just get the pigmentation wear they colour the scar tissue the same as normal skin!!! and who knows this may be enough for you!! as im sure the sides may be closer together there for the stubble will not be so far apart ie, gaps between the edges of the scar will be less there for the stubble will not have such a large gap and it will look way less prominent!!!!!!
  7. i guess by having a new modern scar revision you get to see how good the new ways of doing scars really is for your self!! what i mean is you will be in a good position to evaluate the 2 diff scars you will have had!!!! better than most on the forum.......... as you have experiance of both types etc
  8. in your first thread you posted on here i think i posted a link about a woman in florida who has alot of success with the thing, it included pictures and advice etc! i even think a few members have been to her!!! alread:D
  9. i live in a small country town that has only just given up duncking for witches, if any one started gossiping it wud be hell
  10. hey paths patient any updates on your hair man looking good so far of wot ive seen
  11. That would be irrelivant Tsakalos as these are the authors chosen clinics and the pol is to help him proceed, due to his time constraints and availabe slots/drs he is able to cordinate with.......... if neither was a option it wouldnt aid him in finding a dr to carry out the surgery he seeks and is comitted to getting..... so instead of neither thus no dr, may be you would like to suggest and alternative dr as this would best serve the authors needs???
  12. hello all!!!!!!!!!!!! ok basically im thinkin ahead for when i need my 2 stage of my hair transplant for touching up density/hairline issues and it got me pondering????!!! what are the best ways to still have surgery and keep it as undetectable as possible............????????????? as for this HT i was lucky enough to disappear traveling for 3 months but this will not be an option for the next time............. heres what ive come up with so far!! im not a fan of FUE my self as i already have a scar i would rather just have another strip, as i hate the moth eaten thin look of FUE more than a thin scar mysel.....f #1 keep the back of your hair longer to hide the strip scar better and ask the dr to take extra care to only shave the hair necessary that will allow you to still cover it up once the sides have been pulled in on the strip wound...... #2 utilise a dr who freaquently gets A1 results using sagital slits as this enables you to keep your hair a little longer in the recipient site pre, during and post op than latteral slit. #3 make sure you have been taking alot of finest or dutas pre op to minimise shock loss due to surgery trauma #4, book a 2 week holiday 3 if possible and have your surgery on the 2nd days after arriving and then stay untill it had been properly cleaned cared for and stiches removed this way will also allow for the shaved area around the scar to grow out a little and match the surrounding hairs. also any bright red bloddy scabby areas shoulb be alot less and allow you to go home with no scabs no stiches or stables and mimimised redness.... #5 then just keep your hair as long as possible to hide any obviouse signs, with out looking like krusty the clown #6 utilise concealers to further the full hair look and cover any shock loss or scar????? #7 also as i feel the second of my HT transplants will not need to be as dense as the first or as concentrated in to any one area, i feel i could get away with transplanting in and around native existing hair at lower cm2 hair counts just to add density to it as whole and not risk shock loss....... ie, spread the hair out around the whole scalp inbetween the hairs that exist targeting thinnner patches and not concentrate to much on density thus resulting in less trauma to a specific area and thoughts???? if any one else has anything that they would like to add that would also be worth me remembering or any other valid points it would be nice to hear then??? hope you are well and growing well also james j1
  13. if you get your scar revised and then the micro pigmentation to make the colours the same of the skin tissue then the stubble tattoo on it also, it will be near unoticable and about as good as you can get it
  14. i ran away traveling for 4 months, the only people who know about it are, my best mate who is also my hairdresser so i he had to know, and my other best mate who is running my company whilst im away! so he had to know!!!! how ever i have threatened them with death if they tell a soul, other than that, i have been open bout it to my, mum n dad and my aunty and cousin! how ever i hope and feel i can trust them with my life!!! if any one else asks im just going to say " no, but if my hair gets much more bald, im deff going too ha ha" and shrug it off fcuk them, i hope the people who make fun get bald too then when i have hair due to my HT they wont say bugger all
  15. are you sure its due to minox as i use both 5mg oral minox and 5% solution per day every day and dutas and have no ed? i cant even see how minox solution on the scalp can even result in ed as the amount actualy absorbed is minute?? i suggest you go and have a full hormone and blood test carried out as you may be suffering from excess oestrogen or diminished test levels?? i agree with what seriouse has posted! look for al other causes as i highly doubt its minox related!!! some men take minoz tablets up to 45mg a day and have no ed? so a little solution on ur head isnt gunna giv u ed
  16. dr a's results are both consistant and nothing short of amasing, he gets mx effect from average graft numbers! all his work is very good
  17. personaly i would consider body hair fue into crown and strip scars only, ive read and spoken to a dr that where head hair is not available any more for transplant that body hair can be used as a filler hair only in scars as it gives bulk and coverage the difference in hair structure is not noticed in the scars and they will also be less noticable because of the extra coverage!!!! also for some crown work via lateral slit, the hairs can be angled and a crown swirl established to help the results look more natural especialy when some existing hair is already in the crown to help make the transition of head hair to body hair less dramatic........... i would have no problems using body hair fue into scar and crown area if some existing hair remains in the crown to work with.... how ever vertex and hairlines is a no go unless in extreme repair patients as mentioned before
  18. this is me at only 3.5months after a megga session and a large donor strip taken, the scar is still very itchy a little shock loss still remains on the back but the sides are little worse for the shock loss.... but i have to say im over the moon with it im very sure i will be able to shave my hair down to a 3 every month with no worries when the redness fades and the shock loss comes back... by month 5 this scar will be unoticable all together even more than now im very happy and ive even had folliculitis which you can see on the one side that is still red and the scar is still ok it looks wet over the scar area as in the pics i had just applied some vit e lotion.....
  19. im not being funny with you moro, but u aint never gunna be happy!! mark my words a scar revision will be better than that fat wide pink scar you have but... no matter how good a revision you have its still going to be really noticable no matter what dr you choose, especially with a bald head all over like yours.... drs cant be required by law to show posts of scars shaved down as it would mean every patient is also then required by law also to shave the whole of there heads bald all over for photos some 5 months later when its all healed up......... i personaly couldnt think of anything worse than having my head shaved down 100% 5 months after just when its all grown normal again!!! the best thing u can do with that scar is have it tattooed like stumble and then also micropigmentation to make it look a more normal skin colour to match the rest of your scalp...... its cheap enough and will save you the trauma of a revision that im guessing in advance you will be disapointed with any way as its always going to be very noticable with hair like yours..... just trying to save you extra disapointment and trauma but each to there own! ****im 3.5 months out from having my surgery and scar redone and apart from the shock loss on the sides which is already starting to fill in im happy with it. i have my hair currently shaved to a 3 and the only thing you can see on the back is some redness under the hairs but no bare strched scar scalp and when the scar turns whit will be unoticable under my hair even at no3 on the buzzer now in my mind i class that as i scar never the less, but im more than happy with it!!!! and just from talking from you in other posts i know you will just say well if your scar is so thin post a pic then well just for you to prove im not trying to be dishonest im gunna take some pics now for you, i hope they help in some way i hope you find happy'ness man
  20. i had 1200 grafts that didnt grow and left me with a fat scar, i then went to dr hasson and had an extra 3500 grafts, in which he was able to totally remove the old scar inside his new strip........ i then had the 3500 grafts placed in the front 3rd and the strip was closed with staples, so i didnt go in for a specicfic scar revision even though i had a fat scar as it didnt bother me and infact i thought it was ok how ever after having it done with staples and by a better dr looking at it now i realise that its was crap!!!! and im very happy with it now of course??? theres my answer
  21. dr path is a great guy and his patiants so far have been having very very good results, his scars are very refined and he has a great team, ive spoken to him in person and he is a great man and a good dr, you should have any worrys going to him........... in my opinion his skills rival any and the best of US dr's.... being from oz hes not far away from you and the price is good and so is the quality of the work jus look up his patient websites and the strip scars i have to say are very clean and refind and the work in the recipiant area is very clean and the results are good from what ive seen posted by patients...... im sure you will be very pleased with your experinace with dr path and also the professional and friendly nature of his staff!!! his prices are half that of the usa and his work just as good good luck with it all and have fun in bangkok, make sure you go to lumpini for a moi thai match
  22. in thailand you get screwed big time for using credit or debit cards and for withdrawing money from atms..... my advice take cash on the day and go straight there and pay them and avoid all tax/comission you have to pay or direct wire transfer if you dont mind paying the fee??
  23. go back to a dr and have it diagnosed.... but to give you some info, when my donar strip scar became red and itchy and bled a little even at just under 3 months i had folliculitis in may be 5 hairs around and in my donor scar.... folliculitis is cause by an infection on the hair follicle in the scar and its often caused by the trauma of the surgery in the strio area and many hairs that get displaced that try to find a way out of the hard scar tissue get inflamed and itchy.... itching or scratting the site of inflamation often gives rise to infection as a break in the skin around the trapped follicle allows infection in...... this is what i did.... i went to a dr who plucked the infected hairs out i then ran a course of antibiotics and rubbed a antibiotic lotion and hydrogen peroxide on the inflamed areas and it whent away... keep towles clean, wash all hats and shower after exercise or swetting and dont itch.... how ever go see your dr as it may just be nothing have it diagnosed before you start treating hope this helped
