great toppik and thanks for bringing it up!!!!!!!!!! i dnt let girls touch my hair full stop any way so the concealer on hands is not a problem......................................................... how ever my biggest pain in the arse is stying at a girls place then getting there pillows covered in brown crap.... how humiliating???? i need a concealer that will look good and not cover my lady friends pillows and run down my head like bird poo in the rain???? any suggestions, nanogen on the rear is ok but does dermatch really produce good results just behind the hairline that wont run off on pillows or down my head???

nizoral 2% is best used only every 7 to 10 days as it will make your hair shed excessively in long run and dry it out...... but i have to say it is great stuff but the thing to remember is less is more with nizoral..... inbetween use shampoo such as neutrogena as its gental and good stuff in its own right.... so the best combo is something like this neutrogena every day or when needed... nizoral every 7th or 10th day........ used with a good gentle conditioner!!!!! thats about as good as it gets IMO...... but yes i love the post nizoral hair look!!!!!

you can get your sperm levels and hormone levels back to normal even when taking the finesteride.... what happend to you is very common amoung finest users just many dont bother getting bloods or semen tested so dont know..... what happens with finest use is that it stops test being converted to dht this raises you levels of free test up very high to high the body then notices this and the only the way the body can lower high free test levels is to start changing it to oestrogen then the body will continue to stop test production and change the high levels of free test you have in to oestrogens and this is where the problems start for eg, oestrogen when picked up by the body and the endocrine systems (hpta) is very very suppressive this means it will shut your natural test production and testicular function down hard. my advice to you is get your full blood hormone counts done incl serum test levels free test levels oestrogens and androgens and LH lutanising hormone FSH follicle stimulating hormone and SHBG......... and you already have you semen count done so good stuff........ stop the finest if you like??? but you can stay on it if you want also but stopping use is vital if your trying for a baby if not then stay on it if you want hair??? what often is the case with long term finest users is the oestrogen it goes unchecked and shuts down your testicles and HPTA...... dependent what your blood tests say each out of balance hormone can be addressed with meds and we could have you back to normal in a matter of 45 days usual protocal..... but if you choose to do it natural then it may take a very long time or not at all if you have been shut down hard..... most endos are very one track minded and dont think out side of the box they will prob try and put you on test replacement therapy TRT or simply tell you to wait it out because they dont understand other means of correcting your homeostasis balance using other meds etc so your choices are *stop using finest and dont do anything and hope you come back on line on your own which may take 6months or more *stop using finest and take extra meds to kick start your testicular activity and bring you back on line with in 50 days *or what i do is keep using finest and get bloods done every 6 months then address any inbalances which prevent shut down,sperm reduction, and bad sides usualyrelated to finest use libido and ED....... the reason why i know so much about blood hormones and HPTA and endocrine systems is because im good friends with an expert who treats body builders after steroid use to bring them back on line sperm etc etc and i work with race horses for breeding who are in shut down due to steroids and hormone inbalances to get them back on line for breeding. We have also both worked with around 5 diff men now who have come to my bodybuilding forum and from propecia help forum complaining of long term sides, ED,libido sperm depression.... and helped them based on there blood test results.......!!!! and they are much better and doing better now!!!!! as said before oestrogen is your problem get bloods done and see it will be very high and so will shbg this means your body isnt able to use the free test it has.... and variosue other factors but bloods will reveal all.. adex can be used to lower oestrogen clomid can be used to increase LH and thus natural test production HCG can be used to wake up the dormant testicals DHEA can be used to address many factors all this can be done whilst on finest or not? but if your concerned about semen quality for trying for a baby then you should stop any way!!!!!!!!!! also see your gp for the pain as it may not even be related to finest use it could be something else infection cancer etc this effects sperm radicaly....................

i personaly think you are a perfect candidate for a HT. your donor hair looks good. and your pattern balding i think will allow for a good result. although hair loss is progressive i think finesteride will improve your crown density and increase the quality of the hair you have left........ in regards to a HT its up to you you could do a two stage or a one pass. do the front 1/3rd first then go back for the crown if needed but finest may improve the situation of the crown so much you may not need to address that area???? a new hair line with some temple work would frame your face and take years off... i personaly think going on finest for 6 months to a year and then think about getting 3000 grafts to lower and add density to your hairline and temples then once that is done if you have any grafts left over use them up in the crown!!!! and i think 12 months later you will have a great result as you hair looks just right for a HT course and thick donor good luck and pick the best DR you think is best for you from the coaliton list and youl be A ok hope this helped

im also arond the same time line im at 13weeks, and i too have alot of hairs popping up that are thin and see though even though i kinda knew the answer you still doubt your self its so odd??? but its always nice to hear the question answered and you mind put at trest cheers TTP........ the way my hair is progressing i have a feeling i may be on of the lucky ones but i dnt want to jinx it so im touching wood as i speak!!!! but if all the hairs get fatter and darker then i should be very happy at 12 months!!!!!

wow, thanks again jana! that was really helpfull!!! i can clearly see how lateral would give the illusion of more density now as the hairs are side by side thus covering more scalp in a way, when compared to sagital when they line up on top of each other??? how ever im still not totally getting how lateral is more dangerouse to existing hair? and is it true that sagital really is safer for planting in an around existing hairs? and if so why? thanks for your time and for helping nice pics:D

dr path is a great guy, even though he is one of the newest members to the coalition he has a good following already, i have spoken with him a few times and hes a good guy. ur in good hands you will be thrilled with your results im sure!!! be sure to post results etc on here good luck

when drs get so good its hard to seperate them, and some times the result obtained is again a very subjective veiw..... inregards to hasson not doing one thing or the other i would have to disagree i have seen variouse work from him and for the huge amount of results posted by patients i would have to say almost every one is a success no doubt he has bad results to as all drs do..... but i have yet to see many!!!! also looking at pictures posted by patients like on the patient websites on this forums help to get a real sense of the totall out come!!!! im not saying the drs websites are photo shopped but lets face it results posted by patients are as true as you can get!!!!!! rahal is doing great work and in reference to hair lines i do understand what the author is talking about sometimes dr hassons lines are a little thin??!!! i agree and i feel its because dr hasson uses alot more number of 1 hair grafts than any other drs ive seen .... obviously 1 hair grafts are essential for creating a soft hair line but there is such a thing as to soft also...... for example if you look at garage lands and Bills pics before they had touch ups ie there last transplants etc.... you can clearly see in to and beyond the first hairs in the hair line by at least 1.5 2inches almost.... this is fine if this is the look your after........ i feel dr hasson and dr wong are amasing surgeons and industry leaders and there results are 2nd to none..... but i feel there greatest strength is megga session where a advanced balding man need the biggest impact in one hit, they excel them selves as the results are night and day due to the large amount of new hair growth.......... how ever the hair lines can be a little on the thin side so i would have to agree and if the author requires only hair line work then i guess hes justified in seeking another practice and surgeon!!!!! and rahal does do great hair lines very thick and not see through at all except for the first intial hairs etc..... any thoughts? good luck;)

after looking at your pics i really dont think fue will be that good for you??? most FUE sessions are limited to around 2000 grafts a session as it takes much longer than strip...... and you would need at an estimate at least 5000 hairs to do the whole of the top of your head and crown and hair line..... this would mean 3 surgerys and 3 trips roughly 12months apart so 4 years all in all to get what you want hair!!! have you considered as megga session of 4000/5000 if your donor allows even thought it will cost alot it all at once it will still be alot cheaper than 3 seperate surgerys by FUE and travel expenses and time off work etc and may be give you the results you want after 12 to 18 months instead of 3 years????????? strip surgery will leave you with a scar bu they really are unoticable?? send your pics in to a coalition hair dr, feller hasson,wong,charles,alexander,rahal, dr path and see what response you get!!!!!! but it is really up to you to make the choice as it quite a personal thing choosing a top dr and, in my case i chose dr hasson, but many patients choose others and to be fair most coalition drs are all very good. the only person in england to consider is dr farjo of manchester DO NOT GO TO ANY ONE ELSE IN THE UK YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much, I wish you luck also...... and the oral minox is def very positive so far i hope one day it will be fda approved in lower doses! as alot of people get put off minox as its produces itching! i know you can get the foam/gel minox now to avoid the itching but taking a pill is alot easier interms of application v dripping it on yer head and it may actually be more beneficial and produce better results........:confused:

you can have what ever you like, but i recomend you visit a good HT dr as they will advise you further, but in regards to density about 45/50 grafts per square cm2 and to get your line correct and your temples id say 3000 grafts would give you what you want!!!!!! but go on finest other wise you may lose all you have:D

Well im at 3 months now and even though, im still in the most dreaded period of a HT recovery ie, 1-5months!!!! Things are happening and i can actually see new hairs with my own eyes, its the most positive feeling i have had in regards to my balding in the last 5 years!!! Ive also compared my 1 month pic (my lowest period) to my 3 month and there is an actual difference to be seen. how ever i still have a long long way to go. My scar has been hard work up to date, even though it is thin and im happy with it and i know when everything is resolved it will be undetectable. it still been a pain.... ive had problems with a few infected follicles with hairs trying to grow through the scar and its set back the healing time and its been itchy hell but im finally over that just, and the problems are magnified by the large shockloss which is taking for ever to go away..... if it wasnt for the shockloss i coul dgo out now and no one would know if i didnt wear a hat but im still under a cap as shockloss can look very very weired to people not in the know. my wishes for the 4th month is continued maturisation and hairs popping up in the recipient area front 1/3 and the recovery of the shock loss on the sides as its quite bad................. and looks terrible and also loss of redness to scar! Dnt worry i will be posting pics im taking them every month and will up load all on month 5, and i also have some pics during the surgery at H&W also....... Fingers crossed for lots more growth and thickening as i need it

i agree the liquid minox is hard on the hair, but i feel as im taking the oral pill in the morn, by using the liquid at night it may help to keep minox concentrations stable....... and yes it def has some effect!!!!
