yes i hope dr path continues to do well also as hes a genuine nice guy!!! in regards to the infection i think you must have miss read my post the grafts ie recipient site is fine.................... its only a few native hairs around the seems of the scar that are troublesome..... either way its very minor

hello every one, quick update! after 2 long months i have growth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and this is exciting for me as after my first failed HT by DR RIPP OFF ROGERS OF WESTMINSTER MEDICAL UK. this is the first time i have properly seen new hairs coming up!!! im very happy. i can see lots of little clear thin hairs popping up in and around my old hair lines and hairs! when all the little hairs mature and thicken out i will be very happy so fingers crossed the growth may continue and by the 3months mark even more hairs have sprouted!!!!!!!!!????????? how ever i did decide to shave my hair down to a no 0 again as even though the scar is noticable im currently abroad for 3 months so at least the new and old hairs hopefully will grow bacl at a more similar rate....... as before i shaved i looked silly lots of hairs all at different lengths and patchy...... on the flip side or bad side.......... after having some concerns with my scar on the right side of my head dr hasson looked at the pics and had told me i have folliculitis in some of the follicles in my scar that he suggest may have occured due to problems with the follicles adjusting and finding a way through after being trapped by the closure of the scar!!!!!!!!!! he suggest's plucking the troublesome hairs and taking antibiotics and using a antibiotic lotion at the site.............. as im traveling in bangkok and dont have any one with me to pluck the hairs and i cant see them! i contacted DR PATH here in bangkok and he very generously has advised to see me and help with the infected follicles even though i am some one else's patiant!!!!!!!!!!! Dr path is good guy and a gentleman and a very worthey member of the coalition!!! Dr hasson also expressed happiness in regards to me being able to access profesional help and also at Dr paths generosity!!!!

my thoughts on it are this.... using ANY hair shampoo in excess can lead to drying and damaged hairs which will break off and shed in due course.... with nizoral 2% use this too may be the case when used more than 2 x a week. but also another action is at play allso... nizoral's active ingrediant as we know decreases scalp dht levels and disrupts dht conversion in the scalp itself..... by blocking the pathways to the dht or androgen receptors in the scalp that convert testosterone in to DHT..... by lowering the dht levels in scalp, as with propecia use when dht levels lower in the body when you first start the medication this also results in a shed which grows back a few months later!!!! so theoreticaly due to the effect of dht reduction in scalp tissue due to nizoral use this reduction is obviously noted or detected by the hair follicles as it is when finesteride kicks in and i shed is the result. because hair follicles so ive been led to beleive do not have the ability to change the way they grow i,e thicker healthier faster fuller stronger, whilst in the current growing phase!!!! so again if nizoral or finesteride use is continued to be used during and post shed when the shed hair follicles start to regrow you should experiance a stronger or thicker hair shaft as a direct result.................... of the follicle being able to produce a better hair in the presence of lowered dht levels!!!!!!!!! and the reduced dht/androgen levels are often followed by sheds due tot he hair follicles reconfiguring kind off??? the only problem is with nizoral...................is differentiating between shedding due to damage from drying out hairs and shedding due to the follicles adjusting to the changing scalp tissue hormone levels which is the good kind. but as far as i think if any hair med works you should expect a shed even a hair transplant..... hairs have to shed and regrow before they can change as change during a growth of a hair cant happen... any benefits will be seen when the new hair emerges from the healthier follicle #

im sorry for you man........ some of us here all know your pain and i wish you the all best.... my advise would be to shave it all down to a no 3 forget avbout it for now look after yourself and try to max growth with meds and wait untill the 12month mark....... reevaluate then!!!! but personaly i would be emailing the surgeon for some money back to go towards a surgery at another clinic who excell in repairs, warn them now and get booked in aftre the 12 months mark is up... as i know its hard going for a nother transplant so soon as i had one july 09 and then another july 10 and its brutal on you will power.....but if you have the grafts and you have some cash towards it go to a top dr and im sure they will do the best for you... and in 12 months time you will be happy there is always light at the end of the tunnel no matter how dim!!

also remember once you start hair surgery it often results in more than one sugery to get the desired effect.... so dont put all your eggs in one basket for the first sugery incase unforseen problems arise.......... if 2000 will do it great if not you havent exhausted ur donor and at least by seeing the result from a smaller surgery you will no if you respond well and then i the future if a mega session of 3000+ grafts is needed you know what to expect

do what the coalition dr recomends...... to many grafts will leave you with no where to go in the future and 2000 with a high yield can have a good effect if done well

i know this is totally the wrong thing to do and im stupid for doing it but at nihjts watching tv and runnin my hands on my hair i feel these spikey grafts post op 2 months and out of curiosity i singled one out it felt dead to me but wudnt shed in shower etc and i pulled it out with a tweezers coz it bothered me so much how ever one time it was a dead hair just trapped and one time it was a healthy hair with a bulb attched and then i was up all night worrying if the bulb was my graft and i pulled my graft out and worried id lost the hair and it wouldnt grow back.................. my opinion is some are trapped dead hairs some are resting and some are failed grafts either way leave them in its not worth the worry lol

im 2 months and things are starting to look promising how ever i have alot of shock loss around the scar but only on the sides up high not on the back of my head...... it lookes really stupid when will this shock loss come back??????????????????????????????????????? as im 2 months now

i am seriously considering oral minox 2.5mg morn and night ive read this post and found it most helpfull. do you think dr path would write me a prescription if i visited him for oral minox as im now in thailand

hey man i think i speak for every one when i say...... glad your well after your RTA... but in regards to your pics.......... they make me feel happy about my future growth of my ht and gives me hope so i hope you are thrilled and continue enjoying your hair my matey nice one:D

thats great and value able to us...... so by taking vits and mins and oils to support growth this could help improve quality of keratin...... minoxidil improves blood flow to scalp thus hair growth propecia decrease dht which inturn reduces the above points also nizoral disrupts dht conversion in scalp and reduces it and then also keeps the scalp healthy? msm improves alround health and growth rates is there anything you would suggest or advise to counter act the dht effects? that i havent mentioned? also say if some one with 10times the amount of test in the system due to steroids but normal levels of dht due to dutas and finest.... would hair loss be exagerated or increased or normal.... i only ask on behalf of many body builder friends who this write up and study will also be very helpfull too cheers for the time and effort to post;)

a bad hair transplant is worse than being bald trust me i know...... personaly i wouldnt go near any DR not recomeneded on this forum period............. take my advise and dnt do it................ get a coalition dr there are many good ones here dr hasson dr wong dr feller dr charles dr alexander dr bernstein drs shapiros etc etc etc etc do your self a favour and pick the best money is of little consequence when your hair and mental well being is considered i had a bad HT by dr rogers in uk and it was hell and ive now just had a ht with dr hasson and it night and day i think ive seen more groeth in the first 2months than a year with rogers goodluck

ok well heres the deal ive bin using both finest and dutas one day dutas nxt the finest needless to say its working....... my dr advise i take finest 1/4 aday or .5mg dutas aday i thought by only taking the stronger dutas every otherday and finest on the days off the dutas it would make for a happy medium? instead of every day on dutas etc does dutas every other day really wrk? instead of everyday? if i stop the dutas and carry on only with finest.. will my new hair fall? i think i will do dutas 3x a week and finest 4x a week

go to dr and check estrogen levels and test levels as fat acts as a form of oestrogen production inside the body which then makes weight loss hard and finest can increase oestrogen..... jus an idea?

totally agree with al thathas already been said............... i to am only 25 and my balding started when i was 20 and it was horrific.... scared to go out in day light with out concealer or a hat..... but concealer such as nanogen or toppik are a life saver and can thicken what hair you have left by at least another 50% or more!!!! seriously look in to it as it will keep you out going and releive some stress.... be proactive.... dont be worried or sad about hair falling out due to the meds as some one already mentioned they where only going to go any way.... dead hairs walking so to speak!!!!! #1 get your hair care programe set up and in place... minoxidil,propecia,MSM,vitBcomplex etc tec #2 stick to it no matter what!!! or how bad the shed hairs get as in the long term you will be better off than not doing it.......... #3 invest in some concealers toppik nanogen fullmore spray.. any hting to help thicken and conceal what you have left....... #4 life style changes.... diet,gym and sauna and swim and boxing the healthier you are the healthier your hair will be..... #5 take photos now before doing the meds and then take pics again in one year before you can be sure if its working!!!!!!!!! #6 experiment with hair styles as a good stylist will work wonders to help you conceal balding. #7 declare all out WAR on hair loss be proactive and positive..... other wise you will be back here worried about hair loss progression asking what to... when the answer is keep working against hair loss and look after yyour mop with the methods mentioned above STICK TO IT its not easy and takes work #8 DO NOT GET A TRANSPLANT, i made the mistake of rushing in to one and had to live with the consquences for another 2 years before seeing DR HASSON consequences included increased hair loss damaged hair bad scar and terrible yiled wast of money. the shocked loss hair the was lost permanantely was greater than the number of what grafts grew 1 step forward 2 steps back......... another thing that will keep you positve whilstr your working hard to keep your hair with the above measures.... is start saving a few bucks a week or day what ever you can spare then in 5 years time if when your balding has stabalised and you know if a HT will be a good idea with the patern you have balding you have at least you will have the money to visit a coalition DR recomended here on this site and get a plan for a transplant.... and if your lucky you woul dhave saved enough of your hair to feel confident using concealers and then you dont need to spend ALOT of money on a procdure that may or may not work for you and you can buy a nice car or something....... if i could turn back the clock to when i was 19 the baove is exactly what i would love to have the chance to do it would have saved me alot of tears pain and cash!!!!! to the extent of which im only begining to recover from now!!!!!!! do the right thing follow the advice here and we will help the best we can you have already done the right thing and that is seek advcie here!!!!! beofre making a bad decision on surgery etc....... puffy nipples could be caused by increased oestrogen due to the higher levels of free test due to finesteride usage being converted to estradol? go to your GP..... continue use as they may be another reason not related to fin use... to get an idea on how fin effects your homes please read id rather be a chrome dome than suffer like this thread.
