  1. dr feriduni?? a big hello to the community, just a quick question to you all in regards to dr ferudini after seeing alot of patient cases posted by him self ive always been blown away with how good his work is??? but its a shame he doent interact with us more...... also its a shame he doenst recomend this forum to his patients in regards to posting there results them selves either through a blog or website... i feel this would not only serve to educate the many members in regards to his many talents but also i should imagine be very lucrative to him? i feel with the bulk of many great results from many big clinics mainly H&W the many satisfied patients is more than enough marketing... i feel it a shame many other clinics dont have such a big following on line mainly because i feel the skilled work is there to be seen or appreciated by the forum?? may be as hes in europe he figures hes tapping a diff market but surely if you look how many european or uk men are on line you would think he would use the forum more to encourage future patients and current patients to post reults and boost his profile some what?
  2. i beleive the yield of hairs is the same with both methods and the difference comes with the illusion of density lateral slit gives a better illusion as the hairs run verticaly ie fanning out ove the area that needs to be covered??? personaly i think when a combination is used you get a better result.... but then again its so hard to tell with out actually counting who knows????? results speak for them selves if the drs in question get consistant good results then the method is irrelevent????
  3. reading this thread from the begining.. the author states the differences between H&W and SMG and even by reading what he states its obviouse that he lacks intuition in relation to how these dr's operate.. for example in regards to grafting a comparison is made about density??? density is an issue wich is resolved mostly at the time of the surgery and due to the individuals characteristics not a surgeons skills........ to a large degree?? they are both personly capable of achieving the same densitys the patient is often the deciding factor ie, donor density etc etc and as we are all aware that smg and H&W are fantastic clinics i find the title of the post by the author and his tone very disrespectful to the other many great drs, such as feller, charles, alexander and lyndsey and cooley and feriduni etc etc etc etc etc i had 3500 grafts with dr hasson at a density of 45 pcm2 so the generalistion that they specificaly choose to dense pack is wrong and a very poor assumption by the author and the assumption that SMG do not dense pack is an equaly poor assumption.... the choice of dr is personal thing and the decision which dr is made up off many factors..... but in general any coalition dr will do a great job each have diff strengths and weakness and its up to the patient to identify what he/she thinks they are and then to make an informed decision with out creating controversy and a bad taste!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. :Dok so im at the 5 months mark in a weeks time!!! i'm aware that its still early days so im gunna leave of judging untill the 12 months mark as it wouldnt be a fair evaluation of the true result at this point......... but purely for informational use and just to keep other member informed i will include a few pros and cons which i must mention are only relevent to this early stage of the process... 3500grafts front 1/3rd DR hasson 5400 hairs ok ok *******so up to now, i have to say it has been a hard long journey to keep this thing a secret but i think with the exception of my hair dresser and my best friend who i work with no body know's!!!!!!! oh and parents month 1 was hard i suffered extreme shockloss a combination of the trauma to the head from the HT and the sarting of the meds resulted in shockloss that almost completely balded me on top from a NW2 to NW4 in a space of weeks was scary and also big patches around the scar on the sides etc i looked v bad and no need to say i was very very nervouse and on here every day asking questions, my first failed HT had no shockloss but this one i had it severely... i put this all down to finest as on the first failed HT with DR ROGERS OF WESTMINSTER MEDICAL GROUP STRATFFORD ENGLAND i was on finest before hand... removing the staples also stung like wasp stings but wasnt excessive month 2 i guess you could say was the continuation of month 1 except for the fact the transplanted hairs also started to fall so this combined with the xtreme shock loss and shedding of the transplanted hairs and my shaved head i really did lookk like a alien with a zip on my cranium (scar tracks) my head was under a hat in public all the time. and the redness from the grafts was still very prominent... i guess you could use the comparison between a cancer patient radio therepy burns on the scalp..... at this point Month 3 due to the hairs on my head being all diff lengths and my hair looking like a patch work quilt i decided to shave down to zero again this was a good decision as some new hairs where visibly starting to regrow i think they where just shocked hairs and not transplanted hairs this resulted in a neater looking scalp and the redness was starting to diminish and some hair coming back............ how ever i did have bad foliculitis in the scar itslef which has resulted im sure of no in a thicker scar that is harder to hide!!!!! month 3 was truely the star of the long road to getting back to normal Month 4 as i was in bangkok and the the foliculitis was very bad and i was sure was going to result in a bad scar i went to a dr to pluck the infected hhairs and got prescribed anti biotics and gpot a antibiotic lotion this worked and the infection was undercontroll but did leave the scar looking thick and red and is now hard to hide (scar revsion on the cards for nxt year) *****but month 4 was the best month for me so far during this month the shockloss started to come back and native hair all started growing at the same rates again the medication really started to kick in and the existing hair really thikened up and the most noticable difference was seen this month as i started to return to what i would call almost normal looking again...... ********** so that brings you up to date, i have pictures for every month and will be creating a blog and website soon with before during and after surgery then 1 a month up to date with a breif write up to go with the pics... as its still early in the process im not judging yet at all... but as any patient im guna list a few questions and some conerns at this point purely for others to gain a factual account of the process. but more importantly a list of concerns at this stage will be intresting for me to see whether they resolve themselves in the coming months or whether they remain a problem... #1 as mentioned my scar due to tention and the most importantly the infection foliculitis in the hair follicles directly under the scar tissue resulted in a redder widder less easy to hide under my hair looks like little bald spots on the sides. ( im hoping being 5 months post op in a week that any returning shock loss in the area over the coming months will cover these wider bald bits of scars) #2 my hair line on the one side is lagging behind the other in terms of density and gowth i hope this will equal out overtime... #3 density on top behind the fringe/ hair line in the centre vertex where i was most thin before is still patchy and bald spots noticable i hope these continue to mature and blend in with the normal density of hair in the area..... even though i have mentioned the areas im not happy with at this point but the main reason for this is as im only at month 5 im sure things will get better and resolve in the coming months, i would also just like to say.... my patient care and after care and contact with H&W has been excellent my surgery day was excellent and results so far have been good to date, i have got many more new hairs now and many more too come im sure i will look great at the 8-12 month mark im still very early in the process but that said there has already been an improvement gradual but an improvement never the less.... im already planning on having scar revision in 12 months time with hopefully a little extra taken out around the scar at the back but not the sides to keep tention low here for a good closure, but also to include 1500/2000 grafts. as my scar is very long i dont think this will be to difficult and then extra grafts to target any remaining thin patches or uneven hair line.... cheers all for reading any answers to any questions i have feel free to comment and answer and my blog is coming soon, you will love the shockloss photo as it was extreme but im loads better now thank god just abit arount the nasty bit on the strip left to fill in cheers all:D:D
  5. if i had to choose id go with rahal no real reason behind it just personal preference:D
  6. im really pleased you have taken my advice and joined the forum you wont regret it................ its james by the way from uk muscle if only i knew about this place before i had my 1 st session wich didnt go very well at all, on this forum you will find alot of really usefull info and the most educated people in the game, from patient co ordinators for drs to the drs them selves and not forgetting the moderators...... you wil receive nothing short of the best advice!!!!!!!!!!! and hopefully even a few drs may comment also... ok so!!!!! if i was you id do this, 1500 grafts via fue not strip for faster healing and no scar mainly targeting the temporal peaks at each side of the hairline to re frame your face, i feel fue where by the dr removes each hair individualy will result in no visiable scarring for you and still enable you to get the result you desire!!!!!!!!! id say 1500 grafts at a density of 45-50 per cm squared...... and for FUE i would like to suggest you chat to SPEX who is a patient co ordinator who is from the uk as i and you are also, and he works for dr feller who is one of the best drs performing FUE surgerys...... having said that he is not the only one so it would be very much worth while to contact a few diff Dr's im sure some of the mods will be able to help with suggestions......... good luck and above all dont be affraid to travel for the right dr as you cant put a price on quailty... happy days;)
  7. incredible the attention to detail is plain to see and it has paid of very well for this patient... nice work:D
  8. i had facial surgery at the 3 months mark and all is looking ok at the 5 month mark:D
  9. that is good news for you well done im sure everything will work out fine for you!!!! the cherry on top so to say:D
  10. i feel that there is an improvement how ever for the amount of grafts i think ur justified to expect more density as its a little thin behind the front 3/rd and in the center............ i think if you didnt use a center parting and grew it all a little longer to conceal the scars it would look really good! the ression and temples are way better abit of length would work wonders:D
  11. i was a member once looking for some general advice in regards to finest and found the site to be full of the most negative and helpless people i have come across.................. i would take what ever they say with a pinch of salt!!!! make your own opinions and just try the medications out:D
  12. pictures coming soon posting my 4 month pics shortely and i have to say things are looking up finally even at 4 months my best mate said i have alot more hair so if things carry on at this rate im going to be very happy
  13. i too have also been very very impressed with his results all though i hope he refers a few more patients to this site to post patient results etc as hes doing great work as ive seen on other forums just a shame we dont see more of it here:D
  14. hasson, feller, alexander, rahal, my top 4 any order but dr H in first place!!!!! if after 12 months if no growth then i may change that hahahahaha but month 4 and looking good so far:D
  15. good luck with growth my friend i cant tell you how enviouse i am of you i had 3500 in july with dr H wish i could of got 5000+ look forward to seeing your progress j:D
  16. because dense packing is well known to comprimise blood flow in the recipient area tempory during surgery and this results in the shock loss which results in many natural hairs in the recipient area being shocked and shed out leaving you bald and even though it is tempory many hairs that are already weak due to the process of mpb and the effects of dht such as miniturisation often do not grow back (so your forelock would be a high risk area for this). which is why taking medication like finest helps to strengthen hairs prior to surgery to help minimise the risks mentioned above happening! also any natural recipient hairs will grow thicker and longer which will help with all over density! so when you have your hair transplant hopefuly the finest will already have you hair looking thick so the grafts will grow in an look great in due course also:D
  17. obviously multiple sugerys effects the parameters when compared to a scalp that has had no prior surgery but that said many patients have multiple surgerys such as bill (Bill) joetronic (H&W) etc etc and whilst growth times vary and new hair shafts dont fully mature until 18months..... i would still say the the majority of hairs should be present and noticably so at 12months!!!!!!!! so i think you should have a seriouse conversation with your dr before you let any more time slip away etc.........
  18. longer? match the density of the forelock on the sides then the same coverage will look good and in regards to length then get a har cut? 1800 grafts isnt alot and im afraid if you do the whole front it will be to thin? all hair will grow just some slower than others just grow it out and thencut to same length when the sides have matured..... the last thing you want is thin sides as that will look even more silly
  19. the bellow is all spexs work and i have found the best all round help for questions about HT its gold!!!! theres a good section on shock loss hope it helps but in my own personaly case im at 4months and its only started to come back around the strip scar its very slow I have made several posts over the years which are a combination of personal experience with hair transplants and a combination of various patient experiences also. The various topics will hopefully allow newbies and patients at the start of their own HT journeys a much better insight into the journey ahead. HT Tips Patience Growth Times 8-16 Months Hair Greed Expectations Hair Characteristics Post op blues Down Time Shockloss Shedding on Meds "Seasonal Shedding" - Be aware of it! 20. great result, how many grafts and hairs etc was your surgery! looks like it did the trick
  21. sure does speak volumes about how uneducated people still think HTs are bad looking.... im sure if the truth was outed to all and the stigma removed every body would have a HT if needed..... how ever spending 10,000 on lasers is a terrible shame he could have a nice new head of hair for that money
  22. personaly i would rather have a thick front 1/3 with feathering behind as this will give the illusion of density! i dont agree that the same density has to be applied all over the scalp as in nature this isnt the case........... if you have a thick hair line and front 3rd then feathering out at the back then this will look fuller to any one looking directly and there for require less grafts as the back in many men unless they have advanced balding stay thicker than the front any way!!!!! also propecia seems to have better results on the rear than the front any way??? from what ive seen.... also a high density of the hairline can be mostly singles where as a lesser density with multiple hair grafts can have the same effect behind there for creating a better illusion again.
  23. personaly in my opinion unless you have a partner then being a slap head will effect you pulling power any way so! i would try finest minox HT and sex all at the same time ahahahah:D
  24. personaly i would concentrate on the corners and leave the middle fore lock well alone as once you place hairs in amoungst hairs you may reduce the quality and density of your native hairs... i think you should use the whole of your quoted grafts and any extra left over in restoring the temple sides and then worry about extra density or coverage when the time comes!! as your fore lock looks good and will look even better and thicker enough as it is with the sides filled in.
  25. is finesteride ok for females? i didnt think it was? i take 5mg with my breakfast no sides yet but i think splitting this dose may be better 2.5mg am 2.5mg pm!! julius may i ask where you get your loniton from and i f you had difficulty getting it prescribed for hair loss? im not aware of any puffyness
