Sorry to hear you are not happy with the results, I was looking back at your pics taken just after the op and its clear now that not all of the transplanted hair has grown, could this be because the doner hair was not strong enough or would you say the choice of surgeon had a effect

wow your results this far look great, you must be very happy, and i'd say the best is still to come.

I would be worried if there was NO growth at 5 months, in your pics you had a significant amount of growth by 2.5 months

Hi Spex, Im not on meds and don't want to get on them either, heard too many bad stories of the side affects, my hair has been like this for around 3 years, I have no family history of hairloss so I am hoping that it has stabilised, but understand it could recede further. Im young like you said but would be happy to go forward with a HT and if I need another in the future so be it, I would want strip if possible.

Not entirely, but the down time of waiting for the shaved hair to grow back and the higher cost push me towards FUT.

Well I have never had a consultation in person I just sent some pics from the front and sides, I know I have more than enough donor hair at the back so how she could make that asumption has left me confused. I hope that wasn't said just to try and push me to take up FUE instead. I have emailed the clinic and asked for an explanation, I will post what they say. Here's a pic of my donor hair that I just took. I cut it last week.

I have more than enough donor hair so can't understand why i was told you can only have 2 FUT HT's. Like Sparky said i think they are trying to push FUE.

Thats really discourouged me from using them, which is a shame because they have a good rep on here. Thanks for your feedback

I am looking into my options for a HT, I will need around 2000 grafts and was told that you only get 2 try's with the FUT method? Any truth in that???

Thanks for the info, how common is shock loss? i've seen other people on here with the same problem and they have gone ahead and had their corners restored
