  1. Sorry about that. When I copied your quote your font came along. I think I got it back to normal now.
  2. We have to also consider the other factors here. A great doctor performing FUE with a patient with good donor and thick hair is probably going to end up looking better than FUT performed by a mediocre doctor with a patient with thin hair and poor donor. There are great/mediocre/bad doctors out there performing both techniques. So unless both the patient and the doctors are robots, tuned perfectly, we will never really be able to quantify these claims. Also even a great doctor can be amazing at FUE (for a host of reasons) and not as interested in FUT, or the other way around. Personally the scar does play a factor in my mind. Too many repair cases online to count. For my money, donor, and NW level, I would choose an amazing manual FUE doctor. That's only because (after countless hours of research) I understand what both entail.
  3. Holy guacamole! And still a few months left to thicken. Home run for sure.! Congrats.
  4. What you read as frankness, I read as aggressiveness. I'm not implying for a second that he isn't a great doctor, but reading so much personal tension between him and other HT patients is disconcerting.
  5. Looking good. Starting to really fill in. Happy growing.
  6. Strange to see a reputable doctor arguing in this manner. A very strange thread.
  7. Hey PeloDinero, Dutchies comments are fun, interesting, and lighthearted. Nothing wrong with that. You are allowed to have a personality here. If you have a problem with his posts just read part them. He has done nothing wrong. Get over it.
  8. Great post Marley76! It's good to see a HT 10 years later. Thanks for all the info. I think your hair still looks really good. If I were in your shoes I would give propecia a try. I've been on it for years with no side effects. It really helped stop my loss and fill in what I have. If you get sides you can simply stop. I would try it for a year and see how you feel then. After a year on propecia if you weren't satisfied you could get a HT but budget for the possibility of travel. See who the top doctors are at that time and be willing to fly to them. Could be Europe, Canada, USA etc. Again your hair looks really good now. Waiting might give you more clarity.
  9. Ive been on Fin for 10+ years without side effects but this quote pretty much answers the question for you.
  10. Trust your gut on this one. I'm not sure I totally agree with this. The doctors do have a choice. They choose to use techs to save money and increase profit. Good for them, not good for unlucky customers who get an inexperienced or a less talented tech. Until techs are required to to be better qualified and their work accounted for there will be that X-factor in any HT that relies on them as part of the procedure.
  11. Yea milo12. I like the widows peak look also but you still might want to try for something more natural looking. Steven Segal really looks like he has fake hair.
  12. I do see how you might think it looks a little too perfect (which is a red-flag for the human eye). Might be worth a small session to make it look a bit more natural.
  13. That's the way it should be done! Look at all those singles in front. It looks NATURAL. Amazing result. Having it be undetectable and natural looking is so important. Bravo Dr. Konior. Another home run. p.s. this is awesome:
  14. Even though Dr. Gabel is an excellent doctor I would strongly suggest seeing a few more doctors just to get some other opinions. It will only help. Also keep in mind that 3000 grafts will cover the front but in the next few year the area behind it and your crown will also lose most (if not all) of it's hair. That will mean 2+ more HT's in your future if you go for it. Fine hair is not very good at coverage in general and you will need a lot to get a decent coverage and look natural. Have you tried shaving your head? Just an idea. Might save a lot of money and stress. I would guess that in your 40's you'll be a NW5/6. You want to BE SURE you have enough donor to handle that eventuality.
  15. I would think that at 4 weeks you have some shockloss but hopefully in a few months the hair will come back and be think enough to cover your scar. Did you talk to your doctor about this before the operation?
  16. Hmmmm. Im not exactly sure. I suppose it could help with shockloss but then when the medicine was stopped you might lose what you gained. Im sure somone here tried this. Anyone?...
