  1. I agree. Each clinic you consulted with has an excellent reputation. Best of luck with your surgery!
  2. Agree. You need to do a lot of research and have consultations (which can be done on line) with several top surgeons which you can find on this site and then decide on a surgeon that you are comfortable with. Personally, I would not consider a chain like Hair Club.
  3. From what I understand the transplanted hairs usually don't start to shed until at least 2 weeks post transplant. I noticed the first shedding about 2.5 weeks after my surgery. The hairs that are not shedding will grow until they do shed.
  4. You might want to try one of those travel/airplane pillows. That helped me a lot in those first few days.
  5. That is normal. My donor area was uncomfortable when sleeping until I got my staples out. After that it improved significantly, but was still sensitive when laying on the pillow for a few days.
  6. Congrats and happy healing. I had the same experience with SMG.
  7. RockZ, everything looks good.....now you are well on your way to the fun part.....watching it grow. I am about five weeks behind you in the process. Good luck and keep us posted.
  8. Spanker, I am 3 weeks post op for my first HT. I can tell you that for me the anxiety in advance and during the thinking about it process was far worse than getting the HT or the post op. Also, my surgeon and their staff made me feel very comfortable before, during and after. Now that I had it done and am just in the waiting stage, I feel so much better.
  9. Drs. Dorin and Rahal both have outstanding reputations and are close to you. You are doing the right thing by conducting a lot of research. I would not let travel get in the way of your final decision. You should select the surgeon that you feel the most comfortable with in the end. As long as you choose among the top surgeons you will be in good hands.
  10. I agree. The vast majority of people have no side affects. Personally, if I had any I would reduce the amount or stop all together. There is risk in almost everything, but no reason to scare people away from trying something that has a huge potential upside for them.
  11. Listen to what Aaron1234 and others are telling you.........they are giving you good advice. I do understand your desire for immediate improvement, but you have a limited supply of hair to use over your lifetime. Take your time and do a lot of research. It is not worth making a mistake that you will have to live with for a long time. If you take your time and talk to top surgeons only, you will be able to have a long term plan to help achieve your goals, but you have to have realistic expectations as well. Best of luck as you pursue this.
  12. Exactly why I indicated that people should research and discuss with doctors they are comfortable with prior to taking this or any drug. Just didn't want people to rely on lawsuits....thats all.
  13. I don't mean to dismiss or diminish the known or potential risks with Fin, but class action lawsuits have become a cottage industry for some law firms. Most are never actually certified as class actions by the courts. Additionally, the vast majority of class action settlements provide huge fees for the attorneys with little to no real benefits to the consumer, which is why so many are filed. So, in my humble opinion, I would not place any weight on the fact that this law firm (and probably others) are soliciting people to join their lawsuit. I do think that researching the risks and discussing the risks of taking Fin or any other drug with doctors you are comfortable with is very important before taking the drug.
  14. Hariri, I had surgery with Dr. Ron 2 1/2 weeks ago. Both he and dr. Paul are doing surgeries ar SMG.
  15. Congrats and happy healing! I concur on the experience with SMG.....you had a great result with your first go around with Dr. Paul, so you must be looking forward to the results this time.
