  1. sounds like you need to expand your search outside of Florida.....best of luck.
  2. I would recommend a consult with Dr. Glenn Charles in Boca Raton.
  3. Not when there are so many outstanding surgeons with proven track records available........
  4. I was really worried about the scar when I decided to get FUT, but now that I am just short of 2 months post surgery, I already have a hard time even finding the scar. Also, some people believe that FUE does not leave a scar, but it does.....just lots of little scars. The only reason I could find to consider FUE is if you want to cut your hair really short after your transplant, you have a better shot of doing that without seeing the scar. But in many cases with FUT you can still cut it fairly short and never see the scar.
  5. Do your research and find a top surgeon. This forum is a great source.
  6. I agree.....nice to see longer term results.....great work by Dr. Wong!
  7. Correct.....the study that just came out found a low risk of developing a more aggressive form of prostate cancer (there was one doctor with one of the major cancer organizations that disagreed with the result of this study). The study did not include dosage as low as Propecia even though the warnings were added to Propecia. The study was based on men taking 5mg of Proscar daily. I don't mean to diminish the warning or concerns......just putting it in perspective. I considered the study and decided to keep taking it.
  8. Your first HT was a big big success!! I am sure the second pass will work out really well for you......heal well.
  9. Looks really good at 4.5 months.....looks like he will have a fantastic result from this surgery.
  10. You definitely have had a major improvement.....nice.....congrats.
  11. Congrats on your decision....in my opinion, getting to that point is the hardest part of the whole process. Good luck in deciding on your doctor. Keep us posted.
  12. Really looks good especially with the extent of his hair loss pre surgery. I am sure he is already happy and with his third procedure he will make even more gains......very nice.
  13. Hal, looking good already......should be pretty amazing in the next few months.....keep us posted.
  14. My experience with SMG was as hassle free, open and honest as it could be. I would think all of the top clinics would be similar in that regard.
  15. Having recently had surgery, the anxiety and nervousness of doing something about your hair loss is much worse than actually doing it. I was so happy I had my surgery finally. Just do your homework and go with a surgeon that has a great reputation and makes you feel comfortable. That is what I did and once my decision was made I was able to relax and get started. You have come to the right place here. Good luck!
  16. I agree. I grew my hair out longer before my surgery. This allowed me to completely cover the donor scar right away and to pretty well blend in the transplanted areas. Dr. Shapiro cut a little of the hairline and the crown area, but did not shave it, so the native hair was short but not shaved. If you have a lot of grafts, there are a lot of new little hairs, so I don't think it is realistic to have it undetectable in the first couple of weeks. However, you can blend things in where it does not jump out at people. Growing it out in advance is key to being able to do that.
  17. Congratulations on your surgery (and your new baby). Look forward to seeing your photos. It is great to hear how well everything went for you.
