  1. Congrats! I'm sure you'll be happy with the results
  2. Should be lots more growing to come. I bet it'll look great if you've had such great results this early!
  3. Lots more waiting to go. Hang in there!
  4. If you get a HT too early, you risk further loss and having a really strange hairline. So in 5+ years, you could look into getting your hairline lowered, but 24 is still very young and your recession may not be stabilized, so you might want to wait more than five years.
  5. Sounds like the right time but you might want to consider meds. If you go in for a consultation, the doc can probably explain more about them and the risks to you.
  6. did you switch shampoos or start using a new hair product? maybe it made your hair wavy or something weird like that? kind of a long shot
  7. That's not to say all women accept bald men. I just think in general, bald men are more accepted than bald women. like corvettester said, double standard.
  8. I see what you're saying corvettester but I do believe the others above who have mentioned hot women being with bald men. Being bald is more common for men and therefore more accepted. Even the video is directed towards men, not women, which makes balding women seem like something especially abnormal. It's kind of a sad video actually.
  9. That's good to know. After watching an actual HT surgery, it looks painful, but I'm glad so many people had good experiences.
  10. It's good you're keeping your options open and thinking about it. Best not to make a rash decision. Like you said, you're noticing loss up front, so in a year you might want that done more than the crown.
  11. I'm glad you had a good experience RockStoneSteel. I hope the result is even better!
  12. You could still see more growth in the coming months. I think I've read 18 months is the magical number?
  13. Yeah 6000 is a lot... I'd be interested to see how it turned out.
  14. Oh wow. It's hard to believe this stuff happens. Good thing Pfizer issued a recall. Thanks for sharing this.
  15. It really looks great. She's seen it every day since you had it so she knows what to look for even more than we do, but it's barely noticeable.
  16. That's the beauty of doing it on a forum... everyone here is honest about their hair loss and HTs, etc.
  17. You could lose some existing hair due to shockloss. It seems fairly common from what I've read on the forum. In most instances it will all grow back within 4 months, though.
  18. Good advice Dan72. I've been reading about a lot of people who have these problems
  19. That's such a great result for so early on! You must be very happy
  20. People don't realize how much hair loss can affect a person. Little things like playing a basketball game, like wb280 said, can really be a struggle when dealing with hair loss.
  21. This is a good post. It's really encouraging to read about how other people have overcome the depression surrounding hair loss
