  1. Thanks for the comment Taking the Plunge! Do you know of anything else that would be effective to reduce and eventually eliminate the pinkness?
  2. I'm almost 4-weeks post op and I'm trying to eliminate the pickness in the recipient area. I've been using Vitamin E oil, and I just bought Distilled Witch Hazel, but I noticed it contains 14% alcohol is this ok to use? I read on this forum somewhere Witch Hazel works to reduce the pinkness/redness but it doesn't mention anything about Witch Hazel with alcohol? Would the Alcohol harm the grafts? Any other recommendations are welcome. Thanks!
  3. Hello, I'm 18 days post OP and I'm in the stage where all the scabs are gone and no significant shedding has begun yet. I have the "buzz cut" appearance in the recipient area. So my question is how should I compare the current density of my transplanted grafts to how the final result should look when they grow in if everything goes accordingly? I realize these hair shafts are dead and don't look very dense and I also realize eveybodys hair texture is different but I'm speaking in general terms. 30% denser, 40% denser, just and idea would help. Responses appreciated!
  4. Thanks for your replies! My Doc was Dr. Dorin at True & Dorin. Gillenator it was an FUE not strip. I had my hair short going in around a 1 1/2 buzz but he did have to shave down the donor area even shorter to do the extracting. I just can't tell yet if its just the difference between the length of donor area and the surronding area or it looks noticeably thinner? I might just be a panicky pete right now but I guess I won't know until I get my first hair cut to even everything out. How would I know if I experienced any shock loss? I didn't see any dead hairs or anything that would suggest that? Everything looked good when compared to other after FUE photos I've seen on here.
  5. Hi, I had a 1,000 graft FUE procedure about a week and 1/2 ago and the donor area seems to be healing up nicely. The remaining scabs are falling off and I was wondering how long does it take for the donor area to completely heal and for the hair to look nearly as dense as the surrounding hair? And how long before I can get my first hair cut to even everything out? I'm a little nervous the donor area may look a little thin when all said and done? Thanks in advance for replies!
  6. Hey Dan, I just read your posts, and I'm interested in your progress because I too had a HT on Feb 25th. I had a 1,000 FUE procedure to my hairline. So far so good, not that I would know if anything had gone wrong because this is my first time through this. Today is Day 8 and the redness is decreasing in the hairline and scabs are building. Have you started to rub your grafts? I've been very gentle thus far and avoiding touching them, should I get more aggressive and start trying to remove the scabs. Would you know? We'll good luck and look forward to keeping up with you and your progress. Kevin
  7. Thanks for the reply! My bad... it was an FUE procedure. Your advice makes sense to me. One other question if I may, Cortizone cream on the receipent area to reduce redness good or bad idea, I hear mixed things? Thx!
  8. Hi, I have a few post transplant questions not answered by the post op instructions sheet or video. I had a (1,000) graft procedure last week and everything seems fine thus far. I was wondering if I should apply Vitamin E cream or oil to the donor area for better and faster healing with less scars? Or is that a waste of time? Also the donor area is very itchy as is the receipient area any solutions to that? And how long to wait before first hair cut? Thanks for any replys!
  9. Hi, I had an FUE procedure done today of 1,000 grafts and everything seems to have went well. My only concern on my first night after the procedure is my local anesthesis hasn't warn off yet? And areas of my head not in the donor area and not in the receipent area are also still numb. Is this common? The top of my head is still completely numb and no work was done there? If this is common how long usually before I get the feeling back in all areas of my head? Thanks in advance for you reply's.

  11. I'm 33yrs old with a Class 3a according to the docs. I've been to a few docs for consultations. I'm deciding between True & Dorin and Feller, should I also go see Bernstein? Also, I wanted to do FUE but both seem to believe I would be better off with FUT. But I like to wear my hair short and not fond of having a line in the back of my head. I need about 1,500 grafts to re shape my hairline. Who's the best DOC for this? And should I just do the FUT or stay with my original plan of FUE? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
  12. I have some questions but don't know how to thread?
