  1. Motoro, consider yourself lucky to have only had that much loss in 13 years. Also, consider yourself lucky to have been on the strongest DHT blocker on the market. Dr. Lindsey is awesome, and I know you will be back to speed in no time!
  2. That first result is very good, but the second one is a home run! Newhairplease-I think a lot of surgeons use the term micrografts loosely. You can tell by the graft breakdown that these are true follicular units. I know the real minigrafts and micrografts from the '90s are 1 to 3 hair and 4 to sometimes 7 hair grafts cut using an eyeloop. Crazy isnt it!
  3. What vasodilator do you use, Dr. Friedman? Is it Minoxidil?
  4. This is the 2nd post I've come across today from 2hillpark where he has deleted the photos. What gives??
  5. Grafts get that look when they get wet. How many days post op did you wash it? The scar looks amazing so far. And you are doing a great job of keeping it clean. You wouldn't know this early if it were stretching. Like Spex said, it's just shock loss.
  6. 52 grafts per cm2 is very dense for a first time pass. It will look great! Dr. Path's work is as good as anyones.
  7. Delphic, BDD is a very real situation. I've seen it in many people, myself included. Although I consider myself a very mild case, I know how you feel. Dr. Devroye is outstanding. Every case he has posted and every patient result I have examined shows him to be a top notch surgeon and human being. You made a very wise decision in choosing him!
  8. PupDaddy, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Dr. Paul Shapiro is as good or better than any hair transplant surgeon out there. The cases he has presented recently have really knocked it out of the park!
  9. Thank you for explaining this, Dr. Panine. I know when I had my surgeries done nearly 20 years ago, the post op was so much messier than today's techniques.
  10. Who originally did this man's surgery? I honestly have never in my life seen such a wide scar. Does Dr. Shapiro know the reason why he scarred so bad? You guys certainly did an amazing job on this scar revision! I know your patient is as thrilled as he can be.
  11. If her hair was falling out after it reached 2 inches, it must be cycling every 4-5 months. Something made a difference here.
  12. WOW talk about dense hair! Between the 1800+ grafts and medical management, he lucked out big time. Great job, Dr. Cooley.
  13. This is a huge change for a small 1600 graft session, Dr. Limmer. Also, his scar is basically undetectable. I am happy to see he is on medical management. Since his DHT and Testosterone levels are already probably low at his age, he should be responding well.
  14. This is very impressive considering the previous disappointment in LLLT. What kind of unit is it? Is it the small hand held version or the large office type?
  15. I am one of your biggest fans, Dr. Panine. I was pleased to see that you yourself posted on here. I wish you could find time to post more often. This patient received great coverage for the number of grafts he received. It's very natural and I know he is happy with the results. His donor hair seems to be fine and the density isn't that great, so you did a great job with what you had to work with.
  16. You have very mild if any loss yet. Your hair looks very good! Most of us would be extremely happy to have what you have. It wouldn't hurt to start Finasteride if you think you notice changes. The earlier you start the better chances you have of regrowing.
  17. Most beta blockers list hair loss as a side effect, and I've read a lot about Toprol being notorious for it.
  18. Your hair looks great! Just keep an eye on it since genetics isn't in your favor.
  19. Spanker, you and I probably have relatively the same list.
  20. Dr. Glenn Charles and Dr. Paul Rose are excellent, and in Florida.
  21. Most surgeons on here would be very happy to give the the mature hairline instead of the more straight across hairline like Asians have. It saves you some grafts for later and is in your best interest.
  22. You can take it anytime as long as you remember to take it. Some suggest to take it in the mornings because that is when your Testosterone is the highest, but it probably doesn't make a difference with that either.
  23. Other than Finasteride and Minoxidil, taking Biotin, MSM, and a daily multi vitamin are about the only things you can possibly do. That way you ensure your new grafts are getting the best nutrition possible. Also, eat a healthy diet and do not smoke. It is proven that smoking reduces blood flow in the scalp. It may not make any difference, but why risk it?
