I am considering starting dutasteride twice a week or so. This is after seeing some donor hair grafts which has a single miniaturised follicle in a triple graft during recent surgery. does anyone have any experience on this ?

Hi everyone, I have been a bit OCD and worrying about my hair. I have always had thick good hair, however, I've always known I have multiple cowlicks. For whatever reason, I started to worry that I am going to lose my hair. See pictures -- maybe some can reassure me or guide me in what to do or think. Thanks! I can attach more pictures if needed.

I was about 18 in the below pic with the green shirt which was taken a little under a year ago. But the thing is, this clearly looks like a receding hairline to me, but I haven't noticed a noticeable recession almost at all since then. I uploaded a pic of my hairline today but it's hard to tell the exact amount of recession since I shaved my head. As you could see, it still looks more or less fine. My father struggled with MPB in my family starting around the same age as me, but that's about the only case. I guess what I am wondering is: is it possible that this could be a mature hairline

I'm 25 and decided to shave my head as I currently cannot get a haircut. I usually have thick medium hair. My hairline is completely fine, however the back of my hair, particularly just below the crown looks patchy and very see through, particularly in the light.I usually have a cowlick crown and the hair towards the back of the crown usually sticks up. Is it a bit patchy due to the way I cut the hair, or is it due to the way my hair grows? My hair is wavvy and usually growns in different directions. When I run my hands through the hair there, it doesn't feel any different. Doesn't feel like th

Let me know what you guys think of these pics. Mature hairline or MPB. If you think it is the latter, what should I do?

Hey, I’m 17 years old and noticed that my whorl looked larger than it had in the past. Does this look like the beginning stages of balding or is it nothing to worry about?

This 42-year-old gentleman had diffused thinning through the frontal ½ of his scalp. He elected to go with a FUT procedure. He received 3,257 grafts. These are his results 1-year post-op. The patient is extremely happy with his results.

I am 20 years old, Gained a lot of weight past few years and am obese, wondering if these things can affect my hair. And if I am losing it can I get it back or would I need surgery? Really don't want to go bald or lose my hair.

I'm 23 years old, and have had a pretty-rapid receding hairline for the past 6 years or so. I've tried rogaine, shampoos, etc. consistently for the last 3 or so years with no results in even slowing the loss. I've attached pictures of what my hairline currently looks like. At this point, I've been financially successful (more so than most my age) and know that I could (and I want to) look into FUE. I've discussed with my wife and extensive medication regimens, as well as scarring caused by FUT, are both pretty much out of the question. Doing research over the past two years, I've notic

This 50 year old gentleman came to me wanting to improve the appearance of his hair. His hair loss pattern was similar to a class 4v. His goal was to keep a conservative hairline to fit his age now and one that would look good as he continued to age. In addition he wanted to increase the density in the crown. In the frontal zone he wanted to add more density into the frontal 1/3 of his scalp without really lowering his hairline much at all. In the crown I placed most of the grafts on the part side and towards the front of balding crown area, which will help him when styling his hair. Here a

Hey guys! I live 5 mins away from Dr. Konior's office, and seeing how he is one of the best HT docs in the midwest, I booked an appointment. Some things about me and questions: -I'm 24 and I've been balding since I was 16. The pictures show what I lost over 6 years. -I started propecia two years ago at the "late" age of 22 and it completely stopped my hair loss. -I am obviously a diffuse thinner (although my hairline thinned the most), but toppik easily hides it. My main concern is my frontal third because it's a pain in the a** to apply hair concealer and style that area. I don't care

I've been losing hair since I was 14...yep I said it, FOURTEEN. Don't mistake that with forty...your eyes arent deceiving you, 14. My hair loss is significantly severe at this point and to tell you its taken a toll on me over the past few years would be an understatement. My hair line has receded a lot and the top of my head is extremely thin. I'm not really up with the lingo, so I dont know any other way to describe my balding pattern (attached a photo). The other day I had my first consultation ever with a hair transplant surgeon. Yeah, I know; to get such a serious proceeder done at such

I have always had an interesting crown but after getting my haircut from a new hairdresser, i noticed a big bald spot. I went off minocycline(acne meds) that i had been taking for years so Maybe that is the cause. Anyways i am just wondering your thoughts. This has really taken my anxiety to a new level.

This is a male patient in his fifties. He wanted to lower his hairline and add density to his scalp. Dr. Friedman placed a total of 1,507 grafts. 800 of those grafts were single hair grafts placed bilaterally in the anterior hairline. The remaining grafts were placed bilaterally in the temples and frontal region. This patient is thrilled with his results and planning a second surgery to add thickness.

I've been checking this forum for quite some time now (I've never used a forum before) and decided to share my experience with you hoping this will help someone under the same circumstances. General info: -Asian, male, 28,Norwood 3, balding since 13 (damn you hormones and genetics). Drugs I've tried: -Propecia (generic proscar in quarters every day): The Good: it stopped my shedding, had significant regrowth when combined with Minoxidil. The bad: I had no side effects in the first year of using it (or so I thought), I've been on and off it ever since. This year I

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me out. My hair has been thinning/receding for a few years. My hairloss has progressed from my temples only to my whole hairline. Btw I am 22 years old. Judging by these pictures, what insight can you give me? Would you suggest beginning Propecia? Should I wait out for future hairloss treatments (Hair Cloning, etc.) I would appreciate the feedback. Thanks;)

These are recent pics of my receding hairline. The hair loss has been steadily progressive since 2009. What do you think?

Hi everyone, Just a quick question, is this a sign of male pattern balding or is it a case of a maturing hairline? I'm 21. My father has barely any recession and my brother has a mature hairline. I've ALWAYS had thin hair if that helps. There aren't that many males in my family so it's hard to gauge how my hair is going to recede if it does at all. And the ones that are past the mature hairline stage are between age 30 - 35 and they, have no balding issues. My grandfathers had receding hairlines but they didn't go to norwood 7, I believe. I have a high hairline anyways and I've been using
