  1. Thank you for reporting about your experience with Dr. Radha Rani. From the photos you posted on your blog, she looks to have a very clean and up to date surgical suite. You don't hear about many hair transplant physicians in India, but the ones you do hear about are very good!
  2. I agree with the rest. Having surgery would do more harm than good. Try Finasteride and Minoxidil for a year and see what happens. I've seen people who weren't candidates for surgery have such a turn around with meds that they could have surgery.
  3. You shouldn't be experiencing shock loss anywhere other than the immediate donor area where the strip was taken and directly where the grafts were implanted.
  4. If your family history is really that good, consider yourself lucky! If my hairline was as good as yours, I wouldn't risk surgery for a couple more years, to make sure my hairline was done doing what it was going to do. I would hate to see you have surgery done now and then see your hairline receed a bit more. That would leave you with another gap to fill in.
  5. You had an excellent response to Propecia and Minoxidil! Congratulations on that and the surgery.
  6. Nizoral should be used twice a week max, every 3-4 days. Anymore can make you shed.
  7. High fu/cm2 is risky in one pass. Some doctors opt to get the high density in two passes, as there is little risk in doing it that way.
  8. Finasteride and Dutasteride brought back a LOT of my hair, and I've been thinning slowly for nearly 25 years. You can't go wrong with any of the recommended physicians on this site. Dr. Keller, Konior, or Panine are all outstanding. Your hardest decision is probably picking which one!
  9. That is nice coverage for only 3700 grafts spread out like that. Dr. Panine is my guy when I have surgery done. I am extremely impressed with his work and Stuart is great for advice.
  10. Dr. Lindsey, you certainly have a dedicated crew working for you! Congrats on raising a good deal of money for cancer research. Are you sure this is your last competition?
  11. You have some thick ass hair, Newchapter! Even your hairline looks fine to me. Some people mistake a maturing hairline for hair loss. Are you sure this isn't what you are seeing?
  12. You may also consider going to Feriduni, Bisanga, or Devroye in Belgium. Lots of people from the UK go that route. They are all outstanding surgeons.
  13. Dr. Lindsey definitely rocks! He is the best all around surgeon I've seen on this site. I love the interesting cases he presents week after week.
  14. Makes no sense at all, unless you are ordering your meds from a shady online pharmacy. Finasteride is Finasteride. The maximum benefit is reached at 1 mg. Any more is just wasting medication. Finasteride really never stops working, it's just that your hair loss eventually catches up to it and you may see a shed here and there. Have you read Spex's article on seasonal shedding? That may be what you are experiencing.
  15. If you are wanting to have surgery done in the UK, I would certainly check out The Farjo Medical Centre in Manchester.
  16. I'm from the Hampton Roads, VA. area and I can tell you that I recommend NOBODY in that region. Dr. Lindsey in Mclean is the only one in VA I would trust with surgery.
  17. Dr. Cooley and Dr. Wesley are the only surgeons here that I have seen enough results from to trust them with ACell.
  18. Bwahaha! One games pay would cover every graft he ever needed by any doctor by any method for life!
  19. As with many medications, side effects will subside the longer you are on it.
  20. You may just be getting a mature hairline. .The only difference I see between the photos is your corners have moved up a tad. Do you have any miniaturized hairs at the hairline? I'd definitely get on Finasteride, especially if hair loss runs in your family.
  21. This is one of the largest sessions I've seen the Farjo's do. Their work is as clean as any.
  22. Beautiful work as usual by Dr. Feller. Congratulations!!
  23. Dr. Hitzig didn't do you any favors there. I hate that you had to learn the hard way. I'd consult with Dr. Feller or True & Dorin. They are the best in New York. Dr. Bernstein is good, but he charges a $285 consult fee and he is conservative with graft placement.
  24. 1800 grafts will make a nice difference. It will probably be a couple of hundred higher because the surgeon usually overestimates the donor strip. I hope you will keep us updated and write a review of your surgery.
