  1. Hey mate, I was just wondering how everything was progressing? You should upload some pics on here.

  2. Janna, How many grafts would you say would be suitable for a good "blend" in the front 1/3?
  3. Haha, I tried the gloves route, but I just keep taking them off in my sleep. I will definitely try the lotion idea tonight, but futrhtdr has reassured me that I shouldn't be worrying too much about the scratching at this stage. If the grafts aren't going to be damaged by my scratching, I'll try my best not to be so paranoid. However, scratching my donor is another issue .
  4. Can't Decide, you're the man. And even though I knew it wouldn't be a big problem, you're reassurance is greatly appreciated!
  5. Yeah, I lived underneath a bandanna the first couple of weeks. Your input is greatly appreciated, though. Hmmm, I guess it is kind of odd to have discomfort to wear a hat this far out of the procedure. Guess I'll have to talk to my doc...
  6. Just wondering if it hurts for anybody else to wear a hat. I try to wear my hat as loose fitting as possible, but after about 5 minutes, my head starts to feel some pretty good discomfort. I'm about 44 days post op, so I thought it would totally be okay to wear a hat without any problems. Any feedback would be welcome!
  7. Thanks for the response futurehtdr! I underwent surgery with the wonderful Dr. Pong in Thailand. I will be posting my blog soon to show my progress.
  8. Hello everybody, I am about 43 days post op. But, around the 40th day, I realized that I would uncontrollably scratch my donor and recipient areas while sleeping. I know that popping pimples is disputed amongst this forum, but I would wake up to find bloody scabs where my pimples used to be and blood on my fingernails. I also think I've scratched off the remaining grafts on my left temple, because if I look closely, a little bit of the grafts are still desperately trying to hang in there; as if I tried to pry them off with my nails. I know grafts are secure and anchored in by the 10th day, but I was wondering if I could do any damage to my recipient area due to my eager and unwilling scratching while I'm asleep at this stage. I am going to try Nizoral to stop the itchiness in my scalp and start sleeping with socks on my hands or something... Thanks in advance.
  9. yes, i ran out, and haven't even had a second to refill my prescription. Thanks for the feedback you guys.
  10. I have been really busy with work lately, and i haven't had my propecia for about 30 days. I heard that after 30 days the dht inhibitors stop working. Prior to this, I have been on propecia for 6 months, and the shedding finally stopped. I've noticed recently that new little hairs have been sprouting in sproradic areas in my hairline (the reason why i started it was for my HL), but over the last couple of days i have been shedding like crazy and the new hairs been miniaturizing. I've also noticed my hairline has been going to shit too. I know i should get back on propecia asap, but can someone please tell me what the damage is going to be?

  12. Hi, I'm 22 and in a couple of days will have completed 6 months on propecia. In my opinion, I feel that propecia has made the appearance of my hairline worse, and I still feel that I am shedding (although not as worse as in the beginning). Prior to propecia usage, my hairline had started to recede, but the front was fine. Now my whole hairline is thinning at the seams. If anyone is kind enough to put in some input as into if I should stay on this regimen or not, it would be greatly appreciated. I am 22, and buying propecia every three months is hard on my budget... thanks in advance, and this site was/is a great help.
  13. Before i started propecia, my hairline had started to recede badly, but after using propecia, the frontal hairs starting thinning horribly. Before i started propecia, the frontal hairs were fine. This obviously means that a lot of the hairs were already miniaturized and its just the drug speeding up its natural course right? Well i was wondering if after all this shedding stops, will the hair i lost on propecia come back? I have been on propecia for almost 6 months, and do not really know if the shedding has fully stopped. Also, do you think its a complete waste that I have been using propecia w/o rogaine for its synergistic effects?
