  1. nice job with posting good photos. Good to see you had a *HOT* nurse. My second procedure, I had a hot nurse, and didn't even know it because of the head and face garbs she had on. Of course after I realized it, she she removed the coverings, I immediately started hitting on her. That was until I changed out of my gown and look at my self in the mirror, to see that I looked like I should ride the short bus, with all the head wrap I had on! That was kind of a killer for me. LOL, wonder what she was thinking!
  2. Good Luck altair, I hope all goes well. I couldn't imagine 15 years of having to endure that.
  3. social, good to hear the experiance. If you want to avoid the saran wrap under the cap, I can't stress enough how much a bandana does wonders. It's breathable and loose fitting. Towel or cropping a pillow definelty does help ease the back of your head when sleeping. I used a pillow, which also helped keep my head elivate. Did Dr. Cooley give you a prescription for Vikidine? If so, found popping 2 before bed and cracking a beer, put's you out like a light till the next morning. I'm sure that's a big "NO, NO" from any doctor though. But man did it help. Good Luck, and can't wait to see some more photo's.
  4. hair loss as a disease? please provide more info!! a who what where when why, type... thanks
  5. social, you are having your procedure tomorrow? WOW! Outstanding!! GO BUY A FEW BANDANA'S.. Immediatley tonight! Trust me on this one. You don't want to wear a hat for about 10 days. and it will help conceal the monsterous head your going to have until you get the bandages off.
  6. question for Jotronic, What does H&W do, if you can't afford to pay the extra $$ for the better yield? Do they discard the grafts? or do they do the right thing? Most people are going into this maxing there $$ for the most grafts, for obvious reasons.
  7. hairball, that does concern me a bit. Although, why not, bang for the buck, but what if you had strapped yourself with the HT? What would they have done with the grafts? Or was it presented as an option before hand?
  8. hairball, Well, you will be.. All I can say is WOW!! You may come out with more hair in the front than anyone has ever had in there life. Good for you man! Did you have to pay for the extra 500 grafts?
  9. Michguy, those aren't photo's of mine. Cam who posts here frequently.
  10. mich, yes, upto 4000 fu's... believe it or not. Take a look at Cam. Strip was very long to produce excellent results. I can not post live links, so here is a generic non live link. figure it out for yourself. Should be pretty easy. SORRY PAT, NOT TR$YING TO CROSS A LINE, BUT ANSWER A QUESTION>>>(hp://w.camsoft.org/Chris/)
  11. Paco, if possible, go with a bandana for the first week and a half.
  12. Though it has been said, masterbation doesn't grow hair on your palms. Mine are as smooth as my head was, before HT of course.
  13. altair, you can get pics on a cd from a 35mm camera, or you can also go to a kinkos, or walgreens and they will snap photos of you also.
  14. "Guys, that was some fantastic advise!! Ankur, you now know what to do."... adamk969 Yes, pop your drug's Shoot Black Tar heroin, then DRINK, DRINK, DRINK!! Hair lose will be the last on your mind...err... what's left!! GO CHEMISTRY!!
  15. Although alcohol thins the blood, I really doubt that this would be the cause. Though I'm sure it doesn't help. Did your Doc give you some kind of anti-depressant? Take that with alcohol, and you are the happiest MF'r ever.... Just kidding!
  16. altair, I too, can simphize. I had my personal boughts with getting older faster than my age. Sunk into depression. Pretty much lost my selfasteem. One of the biggest things that I found helped me through it, was finding something to focus on. I chose my career. And because of that, I would not be financial secure. I have found something I enjoy, which helped me through it all. I still suffer from a selfesteem issue. The world isn't kind. People are quick to point out your flaws, and it only supports what you are depressed about. I have had two HT's now. 1st when 26, then 2nd at 28. I plan on getting one more. All density. Good Luck to you. Find something to focus on. Something perferably that you can make money on, wether it's your career, or some kind of investment.
  17. I've been using it now for a couple of months. Definetly digging it. I don't know about 50% thicker, but seems to make a little difference.
  18. lol, you are where everyone is at after HT. Kick back and relax. Sounds like everything is normal. Those hairs may or may not fall out. 50-50 gamble. Hard to say. Growth is relatively slow at first, and YES, the black dots do take forever. Even at the 6 month mark..... Keep us updated
  19. fed, how about Muskegon Heights.. Heck, I'll lose my job and let the people make me money. New scam, move into wellfare and let insurnce pay your salory. You know what I mean living in Michigan!! Nah, I figure with about 70K, I'd buy Nunica, build a trailer park, get another HT and grow a mullet! Now that's a quality of life!
  20. thanks for the condolences. I may purchase a new one when the check comes. But I really need to focus my money on getting this house remodeled, so I can get the hell out of here. Besides, I'd hate to buy something again and get ripped all over. The neighbor hood was good 4 years ago, and I bought this house to have a good chunk of change for my permenant home. 70K is about what it will be. That's a lot of HT if need be.
  21. ya, you are good to go with covering your head area before and after surgery. But in most peoples case, wait till after surgery, till your donor and recipient area are back to normal skin color. If you are going to full out tan without covering.
  22. Geedoo, sorry no one has responded to you as of yet. Hope this will spark it. I honestly cannot answer that, but can only speculate. My guess would be, it is good you still have feeling, though pain. But what would you consider that pain to? Some say it is pain, while other say it is an irritant. You would have to define the pain ratio to an example to get the best idea. Everyone is different.
  23. lol, ya.. they would have did me a favor!!
