Unclebeets, I can only speak from experience. I was on Avodart for about four months. At first, I didn't see any difference in strength or indurance. After about three months, I noticed that I was not as strong as before and and was loosing muscle definition. I gave up the Avodart. Now, about two monts later, I am starting to see the trend reverse. Was it the Avodart? I can't say for sure, but I'm not going back to it to find out.

Rocky, The "top 5" mentioned on this board are not all from the USA. Some are from Canada. I live in teh USA and went to Canada for my HT. I am sure there are other very good Docs out there but they probably don't have the client base the ones mentioned most often do - possibly because of location. Do you have any pre-op picts?

It looks like most of mine have survived and are growing. They are about 1/2 inch long and look like the rest of my hair as far as thickness etc.

I am almost 6 weeks out from my HT and I don't think all of the grafted hair has fallen out. Is this unususl? Will It fall out later or is the falling out part pretty much over with?

Smoothy; The test. is for replacement because it was to low. I tried Propecia. It killed my libido. I was told by my HT Dr. to try Dutasteride. I would like to find out if anyone else in a similar situation has used either Propecia and Dutasteride and not had this problem, especially Dutasteride. Thanks

Has anyone used either Dutasteride or Propecia that is getiing testosterone replacement? I was advised after recent HT that I should start using Dutasteride. My concern is that I know that it works on testosterone. I am concerned about the side effects since I get testosterone via injection in a single dose every three weeks. I would appreciate any info. on the subject. Thanks

HairBe, Thanks for the info. You answered my question. I had a HT of 1200 FUs. I see the difference between your doner site and mine. Mine was much smaller and just across the very back of my head.

Most Drs. harvest about 1200 FUs from a strip. Where do the docs that do 4000 or more FUs at a time get the hair? Is the strip they take that much bigger and, if so, how big?
