  1. Well, don't take this personal either.. I see nothing has changed around here. A PM probably would have been better. But NO, I thought I would just update. Same ol' same.
  2. I forgot to mention. Thanks to this site for my relife... And thanks to Dr. Goertz for making everything real!!
  3. Hey Bill, sup my brother!! You're looking good my man.. (Not in a gay way) No worries on the X or job.. All life experiance. Congrats on your new role!! It can be challenging I'm sure. I just felt I needed to pop in and give an update. Glad to see peoples lives changing for the best, as mine has. Figured a little boost to the members around here couldn't hurt. I offer this experianced advise to the members here.. Make wise decisions. Get done what will make you happy, whether coverage or density. Don't let anyone change your acceptance of your decision. You did this for yourself and what you deem acceptable. Not for someone elses ideals. But, do not except shoddy craftsman ship. Best of luck fellow HT'ers!! Never give up hope! and where is the spell check?
  4. hehehe.. for the new year, I said I would post a life update... Well, it's been close to 2 years now and I see somethings have changed around here. But with that, is life. So, I now hate my job, hate my last girlfriend.. HAHAHA But, nothing has changed from my confidence point. I have a new girl, who I have been with for awhile now. I mentioned to "Robert" jokingly(you know that guy), after sharing a photo, why is she with me? Well, it's actually simple. CONFIDENCE. Took me awhile to figure that one out. But my procedure helped me find that. Feel free to research my history with this forum. You will find the ups and downs I've been through. You may find some ugly interactions that have been discussed also. To that guy, well.. Words I keep to myself. Best of luck, you guys.. There is hope!!
  5. Thanks!! It's amazing how night turned into day. For everyone else.. Keep your head up! In the end, it's up to you to find your level of expectation and happiness!!
  6. What's going on my fellow HT brothers? It's been awhile since I posted an update of sorts. Well, this one has no pictures. Just because nothing has change photo worthy since my last update. But, much more outside has!! It amazes me what self perception does for yourself. It was just short of a year, post-op, that I met my recent girlfriend. It was the beginning of November when we met. She has, unknowingly given me the confidence that I needed. Now with that said, things in my work life have moved to a new level. Not saying the HT had a direct involvement in opportunity, but has put my approach towards improvement at a higher level. I've recently been asked to our Atlanta HQ for a work shop. No big deal with that, other than normally I would shy away from professional settings, due to dressing to fit. No baseball cap allowed. I've accepted the opportunity with confidence, knowing I would have to wear the dreaded business savvy apparel. Now, notice I didn't complain about hair appearance? Well, it's not an after thought. It no longer bothers me to the point of cave dwelling. I guess it took someone not to look straight at my hairline, but be happy with me as me. Just wanted to post my update, and let all my friends on the forum know, that things have progressed beyond my expectations. Thanks all, and my Doc.!!

  8. I think this is a great thread. I haven't told my girlfriend of my procedures and battle yet. She hasn't suspected anything of this nature. I am planning on going for one more HT, and at that time of setting the appointment I will share the news. Not that I don't trust her, it's more of a need to know basis.
  9. Holt was in training when I went to MHR in Grand Rapids. MHR is subpar, and should not be recommended.. PERIOD. Hair Apparent summed it up.
  10. Rockwell, hit the tanner... But don't worry about any ill effect. It's very rare. Usually it go's away within a week or two. And ignore Mahair.. He has a mission to bring down the industry. Personel reasons, that he wants everyone to suffer from. "The first cut is the deepest, if you listen to nay sayers" Mahair
  11. maybe we should try a collective agreement. To help others understand when you get a certain percentage of coverage, what to expect in visual apperance. My opinion is, 30% or less is poor visual under all lighting. 30%-40% is good only under normal to bright lighting. 40%-50% is good under natural lighting. 50% and above is good under all lighting, including florecent, with better visualization with greater density. That being 50% density, being ideal for HT coverage. My opinion, but should be a good rule of thumb. Ofcourse hair caliber weighs in.
  12. ya.. I am planning on it as soon as my funding straightens around. Bad time of the year, to think of spending money on myself. I find, the worst lighting os florecent. Outdoor lighting seems to be better than being under bright lights. That's what I've found so far.
  13. WOW!! Looks great man!! I did, however, notice you have the same situations I have. Lighting. In some lighting shots, your hair looks absolutley outstanding!! In others, not looking bad, it looks thinning. But, coming from where you, we, both came from, looks should be absolutely fine. After all, you can only get so much density at a time. I wonder if some people will ever really realize that. Taken in the right lighting, looks like the cure. Taken in the wrong lighting, look at my past updates. I'm happy for your outcome, as I'm sure you are... Keep us updated!
  14. well, thanks... Though I still need more.. It's nice to know that I can be socially acceptable in the eyes of the beholder. So far, so good.. Hopefully it's in my head.
  15. lol, and I'm made of steel!! Nah, though 6'4" (you're correct hairworthy).. I think I have more beer mass than muscle. Thanks for the responces.. Things seem to be turning a 180'!! Man, I needed it...
  16. nice!! ya! That's what I am becoming aware of. We/Us are the most critics of our loss. If you can make it past obvious, then you are almost normal. and to add.. the girl is not only georgeus, but naturally beuatiful... How does that work for me?.... LOL
  17. Holy Sh*t.. excuss my language!! Check this out... It's been years since I've felt personally self confident without a hat. Now to me that sounds pretty much, just stupid. But, I've met and passed the challenge. Prior experiances with the hat off, have completely failed, and gave reassurace of the problem. I've recently just started dating a girl, and was put to the challenge, out of my hands. We were out last night, and I think her curiosity of what was under the hat got to her, since, pretty much I wear my hat all the time. We had a playful disagreement, and she whipped off my hat from my head, to hold against me until I agreed. This was totally unexpected. So, my immediate instict was to watch her eyes. To my surprise, the didn't look past my own. Now prior experiances, I've watched them go from my eye level, to the top of my head. Roving eyes. Now, I still thought to myself... Am I still a bald looking guy? Well, I'm glad to report that I still have her by my side after that, with no reaction. That was one of the best reassuring things that I needed. She saw what I saw. HAIR!! I'm just spouting that I actually am starting to feel the confidence I had about 5 years ago. And passing on, the "Don't give up!!" hope yet.

  19. Sorely, believe it or not. Smoe surgeons go as far as autoclaving their utensils. That was what I was referancing too. Exactly what you and I are referring too.
  20. This is a great question to post. You bring up some good variables. My first procedure, I had major permenant shockloss. My background then, was smoke a pack a day, drank upto the night before surgery. And the night after. I did not ice the area after, though I did have extended numbness in the 2/3rds and crown area. My shockloss was not isolated to one area. It was all over. My physical condition was good health, good blood pressure. Though my eating habits were not. Mainly fast food. All this has changed since. 2 more surgeries later, I have not experianced any of the problems stated. Now that still doesn't disclued the physician preforming the surgery. That may weigh heavily. But that's the purpose of your post. Try to isolate common causes. Nice to see someone is "thinkingaboutit"
  21. sac, you are correct. I lost my reasoning, to someone that has a known mission to just simply bring people down. I appoligize for that to everyone.
  22. dude.. now your reaching for straws to cover exactly what you post around here. Sencelessness... go away!! You are starting to look like a child in the play yard, who just got his toy stolen. **NICE EDIT OF YOUR POST** Take out what you just got called out on. See, I can do it too..
  23. yes.. At 3 months.. that's when things just start to happen. Then the coming months are the best. All hell breaks loss!!
  24. you are correct.. you never called me out of name. Only, shill, doped up, and someone in denial. You are correct... I never called you out of name. Idiot. Stop posting to me, you are obviously not capable of responding on an equall level. Good look on your pitty trip.. And stop blamming everyone's happiness, for your own delema.
