  1. Hey Brando, if you can get away with it, a bandana is much better. It's less complicated, and breathable. If you go the saran wrap route, wear it, in my opinion, till your scabs are gone.
  2. or my favorite.. yes social.. The Bandana!
  3. the photo's on there website really don't show a whole lot. They are not in much detail. Also, the graft estimates are very misleading. 2000 grafts for a norwood 6? NO WAY!! But the do not discuse anything about how they do their procedure. I guess it wouldn't hurt to shoot them an email, and ask. But, too little info., from the site to go by.
  4. hey altair, Toppik works for best coverage in the crown. Take a look at my pics, I just posted. I've used Toppik and it camoflauges the crown perfectly. I does, however, look like crap on my hairline.
  5. son of a plug, are you happy? That is the biggest and only question to answer...
  6. bape, you are dealing with one of my biggest fears of HT. I decided if it ever came down to it, I would tell people I lost a bet!! You maybe the butt of all jokes at the begining, but 2 months from now, when those bad boy's are growing, no one would even have a second thought!! You are just going to have to suck it up and make excusses... Also, remeber that we are harder on our selves than others are... Good Luck!!
  7. hmm.. a barber.? The old days... The kicker with me is, my buddies wife is a hair stylist. Him and his wife both know of my first HT, not the second. And almost everytime I see her, she wants to know when she can style my hair. I haven't told her there is nothing to style. I think her hopes mirrored mine. I think she is overly interested in what was done, than styling. That's what you get for a stylist knowing.
  8. Hairworthy, I believe he used the Japanese approach... It is a great red eye reducer. Practiced as, Ty-Kung-Wicker Chair. I believe it was developed in the early 20's.
  9. paul, it's not worth it any more. Pete is fixed in one direction and only that. Many have offered advise and he won't listen. If it's outside of Chicago, then the heck with it. pete, Dr. Konior is a good recommendation but that is it. If you are not willing to think outside of Chicago, then there is no advise anyone can give you. I wish you the best of luck.
  10. ya!! hahaha.. this is funny! Advertise but then say I am not... This is a joke, right?
  11. hey Rugger, I just saw on Ebay, a powder form of MSM... 99.9% MSM, and 30,000 mg. per once. powder. Care to step it up a notch. It's for horses!!
  12. Brian, everything sounds normal. You are just shedding your grafts. Which is completely normal. Also, you can expect dandruff for awhile. I would suggest using conditioner. It will help your scalp condition a lot. The pumps are probably just minor coblestoning from the grafts. I had it really bad, but they went away after about 3 months. Just sit back and relax, it will be a bumpy ride for the next few months. You are on the correct path. Good Luck
  13. social, goto med school and perfect the "ass hair" technique!!
  14. Brando, there just sutures man. No special tools needed. Just a keen eye. Would recommend some medic scissors. Easily obtained in a first aid section of a pharmacy. They have short clippers on them. But regualer scissors will work, just a little more clumbsy. When I had knee surgery, I removed my stiches myself with nail clippers. It's not a big deal.
  15. balloon, I had wondered that myself, but I do not have any knowledge in graft removal. I think maybe his tactic would not be even noticable if the doctor removed them a certain way. It is to obvious of notice, for a professional doctor not to take it into consideration. No need for concern at this point, since we do not know the doctors technic. But it is a valid concern.
  16. Altair, congat's man!! Can't wait to see the 1 month update. You are going to be very pleased with the out come. I hope your are feeling like a million on the inside. Best of Luck!!
  17. I didn't have major itching, but what little I had, I would gently pat the area with the palm of my hand. That help me a lot!! As for sleeping, as long as you haven't had any bleeding or major "oozing" or atleast has stopped since 24 hrs. After 4 nights of upright you are safe to lay normal, but only do it on your back. 10 days, It's a free for all.
  18. the supposed 6 months after pics look worse to me. This is a joke, right?
  19. you may be in good shape with a #2 down the road. It looks like it may disappear even more! NICE!!
  20. though, I don't see any patient photos.
  21. I didn't read a lot into this site, because I'm going to bed.. But at a quick glance, does actually look like they are in the right track. I will save this link, in case Pat delete's it, and review it tomorrow. Thanks for the post.
  22. well, 8 months is a long time to keep photo's archived on a computer. I would think a good scanner should pick everything up fine, with little to no lose of quality.
  23. I didn't get a hair cut until 16 weeks. I was a shaggy mess. I always wear a hat, so I was in no rush. Just do some trial and error and see what works best for you.
  24. agree with NC30. That is what I was trying to say. My wording may not have been that clear.
