  6. actually I just bought a digital camera... I am having problems getting the drivers to work on XP... As soon as I figure it out, I will post photos.
  7. Well, I just hit my 3 month mark, last wednesday, for my second HT. I've been nervous, as normal, about the growth rate. Since I had imediate results from the first, the second seamed to be painfully long. At 3 months, I am finally starting to see hair coming out!! Wheew!! Man was I nervous! Though from the surgery I have small coblestoning in the crown. It has gotten better in time but feel I maybe stuck with it. I guess I really don't have a problem with it as long as my hair covers it. But, am hoping it goes away with time. I had prolly just over 300 grafts placed in the back to cover a 2 1/2-3" circomferance. And around another 350 placed throughout the frontal to 2/3rd area for more density. The crown had no hair. I've also been on rogain 5%, for almost 2 months, twice a day, to assist in growth. I guess it's down hill from here, and can't wait to start seeing some serious outcome so I can plan ahead on the next, if needed. Please feel free to give any input, as feel needed. Thanks

  9. I had scabs close to 3 weeks. They were small and deep in the skin. They come out with time. Never thought I would be talking about scabs! Specially to another guy....
  10. I'm in michigan and have had 2 surgeries here. Definitly look outside the box on this one. Feel free to bounce any questions off me if you want. And, before you ask, I'm in Grand Rapids.
  11. I can see a dramatic differance, but what is up with the now photo? As asked earlier, it looks like you have toppik in your hair. Is this just the hair cut? Could you please post another after photo? I can tell you have good coverage everywhere, since that is what it seems you went for. All in all, looks good!! Please post another now picture.
  12. I'm right there with you brother!! Just over two months and no real growth for me.. Makes me ill with anticipation. But, I do know that you can't determine anything till after the 3-6 month period. Hang in there brother, it's not worth the worry. You've got no control over this ride!!
  13. everything seems quite normal... Embrass the ingrown hairs!!
  14. Thanks steven!! I don't think many people knew about that! That's a decent rate if you needed to finance!
  15. Are you using the Meijer brand? I picked it up for $25. It is a 3 month supply and is 5% minoxidol.
  16. do agree.... but... if someone is getting an HT, it's not for the purpose of shaving their head. Strip is so far the common approach, and hpefully FUE will be the common soon. Most everyone wants the best bang for the buck. And strip will get you there. Hopefully soon, most Docs, will goto FUE and price accordingly to the fact the less nurses involved means less overhead, driving the price competitely. Hope for the best soon, or strip will be the standard for many years to come.
  17. How about putting a sticky with the most common Q & A's up for all our fellow new HT peeps. There are a lot of repeat questions and would like to make sure everyone knows the answers, without having to dig up old posts that could easily be over looked. I just don't want a question to go unanswered to someone in worry, because we have answered the same question repeatedly. Thanks 2 HT's and counting!!

  19. Well, HT can acellerate hair loss, but only hairs that are Doomed anyway. I wouldn't think after 6 months it could do that though. Prolly just your hairloss receding farther from nature. And yes some 1-2 years and others upto 30.
  20. You have the normal worry that most people have. I asked the same question, and am amazed by how many people really do not know this. You're fine. Hairs fall off with grafts a lot. this is completely normal. The graft is pretty much secured after only 4 days. You will know if you lose when if you start to bleed from the spot the hair came from. But, by all means, do not pick the scabs!! Best of luck man, hope all go's well.
  21. Not sure what you mean by the back. Do you mean the crown? If so, all sounds quite normal to me. It sounds like you are losing what you would have lost anyway. As for how many grafts... everyone is different. I would think a Norwood 4-5 would need around 5000. But that is a complete guess. Just going by what I've read around the board. Good Luck and keep us updated!
